That Tri-Fold idea is perfect. Unless you can fit four adults comfortably in a dinette, witch is usually not the case, they are worthless other than providing a second sleep option. The Tri-Fold will accomplish that. Good job.
Josh even if you show a travel trailer that I wasn't interested in I come just for the comedy show..your add libs etc always a good show 😁 ..in today's world we all need a smile and giggle..this is another great travel trailer
Love the floorplan! Theater seats are awesome! The decor is nice. No carpet, yes please! The fireplace is nice plus. 12v refrigerator, yes please. I agree the TV is a little high up. What about all light woodwork? Yeah U-utensil drawer! God bless the true queen bed!🇺🇸 For a family the double sofa could be useful if you didn't want to go to a bunkhouse model. For me, it's just me and the dogs so I would use the the dinette table at the theater seats and put dog beds on the floor of dinette (AKA crazy dog lady floorplan).
The fact that you are including everything into the price of the rv, (no hidden fees) is good business. People appreciate knowing what they're getting up front. You make ten people happy and that alone will grow your business by leaps and bounds.
@@JoshtheRVNerd: That makes sense… To a degree, (no pun intended) But in a couples camper I just don’t see that happening. Once you’re done, counter down, let’s go sit around the campfire. But? What the hell to I know?
😱😱😱The no dinette.... sofa/Theater seating floorplan would make this the ABSOLUTE PERFECT RV for us!!!!! That would be AMAZING!! I was already thinking it the moment you walked inside!!👍😉
I usually sit at the dinette with my back against the exterior wall and my legs up in the seat (ankles crossed) one elbow on the table and the other on the back of the seat. Very comfy cozy.
This is a couple's trailer. I'd rather keep the dinette, since it'll be used all the time vs how often would you have extra people that would sit in a sofa.
I like the theatre seat! I like the double sofa idea. And the movable dinette table. Very fluffy friendly toilet space!!! Love it!!! Cool underneath space underneath the bed. Good road mode access. Nice Travel Trailer overall.
😍🤩 A new favorite! Be interesting to see this offered without camp kitchen, bigger shower, more storage in Bathroom. Aka bigger bathroom. Really like the rear bath floor plan in RVs
Yes, the shower is only 32" according to floorplan. I'd take out stall, make it all shower room, with curtain to draw over door and storage wall. Not a huge fan of huge outdoor kitchens, either.
I agree. I’ve owned 6 RVs, 3 of which had outside kitchens. Never used them once. I would always pull everything out and make it a storage compartment. Then again- 80% of what we do is boondocking so a 120v fridge is useless.
As a person with sleep apnea, I'd like to see the cut outs in the flush mounted closet / clothing closets on each side of the bed. Just an idea. Keep up the great job on the show and tell aspect of your videos uncle Josh!
One of my favorite floor plans. I'm a fan of booth dinettes, just feel they're an efficient use of space. The outside kitchen is nice but a bit much for my personal needs.
This would be my ideal pick for going to short tracks for a weekend. Tons of awning and a decent kitchen outside and enough room inside to hide from the rain that follows me
Wanna say that my wife and I are enjoying your videos and keeping us informed with all of your knowledge and honesty, we are looking forward to retirement and looking into RVing . Thank you Josh !!keep up the great work ❤
DOuble sofa would be awesome. Love all the extra hanging clothes options. I haven't folded a shirt since I was in boot camp and I'm to old to start now. Love the bedroom setup with the bed up. Only negative is I'd want a hitch or something similar so I can put my smoker on it. It's kinda big to put in the camper.
I too would like to see the hide-a-bed & theater seat idea! And, just like Rockwood Mini Lites need, how about slam latches on baggage doors, so much nicer!
Wow love this layout! It has the Fluffy toilet and great space to run around. So nice to see the 12v fridges are getting rid of those worthless unreliable dometic crap fridges. The taller ceiling is awesome. Now if we could just work on more solar and LiFePo batteries with a minimum 3k pure sine inverter! To be honest I hate that front window over the bed. The shades always get messed up if you are a rolling wildebeest when you sleep. Other than that one thing its a really great camper for a solo or couple camper! Absolutely do NOT remove the dinette! Wouldnt even consider it without it.
Your idea for the tri-fold sofa and theater seat is genius. More comfortable places to sit. With a stowable table you still have places to eat. I would want an extra table though, because I might want you use the outside table at the same time. And you have a larger spot to sleep guests if necessary. Coachman should be paying you commission for these great design ideas.
Tri fold sofa plus theatre seat would rock! Does coachman offer a factory slide topper option? And they really should just put a power fan factory in the bedroom. Cooler nights with windows open and a fan you won't need the AC on.
IMO, this may be the most perfect couples lightweight camper (under 30', w/full outdoor kitchen) out there! There are no others like it that I can find. @@JoshtheRVNerd Very true. We were thinking we would. just slide over the movable dinette table whenever we do need more counter. Plus that outside kitchen becomes almost an all-weather, 3-season kitchen with the double outside roofs over it (hinged door plus canopy). Sweet!

I have said this for years on this layout.... get rid of the dinette and have 2 seating places along with one of them being a trifold sleeper sofa. love that idea.
I love this Coachman and will check it out this coming weekend at the RV show. One thing I need to know is that as a single older man(73) can I get a full size bed instead of a huge queen?
I'm not aware of any factory that has a "size down" swaption to a full instead of a queen actually.. USUALLY you can make some adjustments to make that happen though but just adjusting the position of those dresser bases
Josh we just revisited this video. I saved it because we love it so much. Guess what? We still do!! I hope they keep this floor plan for a couple more years when we are ready to upgrade. The excitement in your voice ✅👍. Can totally see us in it. Can we opt to leave the outside kitchen out and use as storage?
I believe that I've found my next trailer! 🥳 As much as we love our '17 Freedom Express 204RD, sometimes it gets a little crowded. Especially with 4 medium sized dogs (Australian Shepherds). And with the easier to convert dinette (compared to the 204RD weird benches), we could actually sleep a couple of extra people (grandkids, etc). As far as the limited kitchen counter space, why not use the folding table that Freedom Express always supplies, and use that for additional counter space? 🤔 I like the theater seating, but don't want a hide-a-bed... that would encourage too many people to want to stay over! 😂🤣 Do you think 1, or 2 solar panels would be required to keep the 12V refrigerator, and minor lighting, operational, without having to run my gas generator twice a day? Awesome review, Josh! 👍 MORE Freedom Express reviews, please?

Josh that’s a great idea putting a tru- fold in place of the dinette. The dinette would never work with 4 people. Then with that everyone can watch the tv. Thank you Josh it’s a nice travel trailer.
I like this RV! I have been a Rockwood fan but, this looks just as well built. I think your idea about the dinette is great. Add a shade in the door window, a maximum solar package, a slide cover, a backup camera and send it to me. Lol
I like this layout! Great idea on the smaller dinette + theater seat! A pack and play might actually fit into that space between the dinette seats. That's something I've been thinking about with various campers, but haven't actually measured myself. Our baby will probably be ready for a bunk anyway by the time I make up my mind on which camper to get. 🤣 I'm totally with you on the hide a bed sofa in place of a dinette! In the first few minutes you were going over this floorplan, I almost typed out that very same suggestion! BEAN FOAM
This is my favorite of all 1/2 ton towable an d I LIKE the half wall with the theatre seat. I want one so bad and we are paying down to be able to get one. THNe besgtest half HAS to have the Tootsie Warmer so this checks all the box's for us
I had the same idea on the tri fold sofa. It makes this one of the most functional small campers I know of. Better than the Wildwood 22rbs which I am a huge fan of btw.
Wow, I know I've raved about Cougars but this, THIS! Holy Cow it's perfect for LeAn and Me. I can pull it more than easily with our F-150 and so much room. Is it capable of 4 Season Camping? That would make it the perfect Rig for us when we hit the Snowbird Trail! Great Video Josh! I don't know about 2 sofas though, we like a good dinette in the Rig. That's us, YMMV.
Yeah the 2 sofas thing is something I'm dabbling with. I'm definitely not going ALL IN on them like that. The build you see here will likely continue to be our "Go to" build.
Yep, that is the best floor plan for a couple. You didn’t mention it, but that roof looked like PVC which is the best in the industry. Normally, like a 10-15 year warranty with no treatments.
Biggest thing with roofing in rvs isn’t the skin (in my opinion) but the upkeep of the seals. Doesn’t matter much what the roof skin is made of if the seals aren’t maintained. I dislike any advertising that even passively insinuates “maintenance free” roofing because I think it sets a bad mindset for new people
I'm not too clear on the no turn signals comment. The tail lights seem really small. Terrific trailer. We will be in the market soon. Keep up the good reviews.
You can see through the window shades. My daughter had to add curtains for night privacy. There are not enough power outlets though out the coach. It's a real nice camper with the theater seats and double azdel.
Really like this one, but wish it had a King bed! I lean towards the Cougar 26RBS as my favorite King Bed capable 1/2 ton towable, Josh what do you think? Any other king bed couple campers at the top of your list I should look at?
I like what they've done with this floorplan, I don't plan on having my own entourage while camping, so the dinette is fine. I'd probably use the dinette as more of a computer and food prep area, though like you most of the cooking would be outside. I wonder how comfortable the cushions are, just might remove one side and put an office chair there. About time Freedom Express got on the fireplace bandwagon, somehow I compare every thing in this class to the Mini Lite series and most of the time Mini comes out ahead.
You won't hear me argue with you about Mini Lites. Pound for pound they're about the best thing I've ever seen. There's times in which I think freedom gives them a run. The 192RBS really stacks up nicely to Rockwood's 2109S This one is one of those slick "in betweener" models that sneaks in where you don't expect it
We purchased this RV in May of this year. And one of the things that I don't like is the one electrical outlet in the top of my kitchen cabinets. Wish that it could have been on the wall.
That would be nice. Unfortunately it's not always possible to run wiring thru a laminated wall Possible solution: Add a power strip that runs down the wall from that outlet. I've seen people do that and make it look nice
Awesome layout! That kitchen table can also be used as a food prep area, by moving it nearer to the door. What do you mean by "No bed privacy curtain“?
What if Coachmen installed folding brackets to the left of the sink that would accommodate the sink covers to extend the countertop? It would block the door, but it could be quiet useful, and needed, when folks are not going in and out. That is what I did in my Arctic Wolf 295QSL8. I repurposed the sink cover, with a pair of folding brackets, to extend the countertop. 👍
Love the idea! I'm a single guy and love this floorplan..but I wouldn't need the dinnet. Another idea, since I'm a financial advisor, and do 99% of my business via Zoom, Teams, or Cisco, how about making the slide out a custom office space. I'd love to see that!
I don’t mind a window in the bathroom, as long as it is frosted. A sleeper sofa instead of a dinette is a great idea. The outside kitchen could use an ice maker.
Hi Josh, Great information. I like how you demonstrate the hight in the showers and room in the bathroom. My husband is over 6'1" so we find this helpful. There is something we noticed when we have gone to look at RVs. He hits his head going out the RV door? Do you have this problem?
I had someone call me a half ton true queen once....Wow you've got great RV ideas, I'm so happy to see they listened to you, Josh!! Great looking color and design!! 👀🏳️🌈
I would love this with no slide and lighter colors. The hubs and I don't use the dinette so, don't need the slide and it is one less thing to maintain. Love the theater seating.
Yes! Double sofa and free floating table. But, the table should have a counter height setting so it could also be used like a kitchen island.

The 192RBS really stacks up nicely to Rockwood's 2109S
This one is one of those slick "in betweener" models that sneaks in where you don't expect it
We purchased this RV in May of this year. And one of the things that I don't like is the one electrical outlet in the top of my kitchen cabinets. Wish that it could have been on the wall.
That would be nice. Unfortunately it's not always possible to run wiring thru a laminated wall
Possible solution: Add a power strip that runs down the wall from that outlet. I've seen people do that and make it look nice
Yes that is what I have done.
Awesome layout! That kitchen table can also be used as a food prep area, by moving it nearer to the door. What do you mean by "No bed privacy curtain“?
Can you give me a minute marker to reference that question? I recorded this like.. 5 weeks ago?
It was on the list of good and bad points, that appears on the screen at the beginning. "Points of consideration"
Dinette is fine but the windshield isn’t. Other than that I’m stoked about this trailer as a couples camper.
True queen bed is a must; but I really need an open area at the head of the bed, the window helps but I hate feeling like I’m sleeping in a coffin
I get it
Love the theater seating, a porcelain toilet, a TV, and a ladder👍Hello Cherokee, get with the program and for God’s sake, step it up a notch!!!
Oooooh, the bathroom ❤❤❤❤
What if Coachmen installed folding brackets to the left of the sink that would accommodate the sink covers to extend the countertop? It would block the door, but it could be quiet useful, and needed, when folks are not going in and out.
That is what I did in my Arctic Wolf 295QSL8.
I repurposed the sink cover, with a pair of folding brackets, to extend the countertop. 👍
I THINK there might be a fire code thing relating to blocking the door preventing that. I do not know specifics though
I love your idea!
Love the idea! I'm a single guy and love this floorplan..but I wouldn't need the dinnet. Another idea, since I'm a financial advisor, and do 99% of my business via Zoom, Teams, or Cisco, how about making the slide out a custom office space. I'd love to see that!
I like the idea of desks in rvs. Not enough of them out there
Agreed. I’m a developer. Looking for one to take on job sites. I like the dinette this so we can view plans etc.
@@JoshtheRVNerd hey bud which is your best sellers for builders in your opinion? Looking for enough space to go over plans with clients etc. On-site
I don’t mind a window in the bathroom, as long as it is frosted. A sleeper sofa instead of a dinette is a great idea. The outside kitchen could use an ice maker.
Agree on the frosting
Hi Josh, Great information. I like how you demonstrate the hight in the showers and room in the bathroom. My husband is over 6'1" so we find this helpful. There is something we noticed when we have gone to look at RVs. He hits his head going out the RV door? Do you have this problem?
I do not BUT I am used to rv doors over the year so.. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
You aren't crazy. That sofa/theatre is much more useful as a couples camper. Bring on the dine-ofa baby!
DOUBLE DINOFA
I had someone call me a half ton true queen once....Wow you've got great RV ideas, I'm so happy to see they listened to you, Josh!! Great looking color and design!! 👀🏳️🌈
Hahahaha
Put some bass in that walk 😂
@@JoshtheRVNerd I know thats right! 😁
Hmmmm, very nice!!!
Love your videos! Thanks for sharing all the humorous moments, too! I’m wondering if this is a macerator toilet or not. Keep up the great work!
Thx for watching. No macerator on these
@@JoshtheRVNerd thanks so much for the information.
I would love this with no slide and lighter colors. The hubs and I don't use the dinette so, don't need the slide and it is one less thing to maintain. Love the theater seating.
It seems like there’s a growing demand for no slide models. Thank you for sharing
I was not prepared for that hotdog jump scare
Hahaha
Hey Josh this is an awesome camper.
TY! I love it! Checks so many boxes.. and a few more you didn't know you wanted checked :)
