Awesome. I have a ‘68 and there are a couple differences. My internal dampener is a knob instead of the baseball bat.
The throw off was busted so I replaced it as well as the butt plate with the new model (P88AC combo with the P35), but kept all the old parts just in case. The plan is to use it forever, so I’m less worried about resale value! I had to do some drilling and tapping to make it work, but it seems to have been nothing but improvements! She’s my workhorse.

Awesome. I’m the same way with the snares that i keep. If i’m going to use them i have to feel confident that they’re not going to fall apart on me. So i make what ever changes i feel are necessary

That’s awesome. Ludwig was notorious for mismatched items on their drums so im not surprised that the muffler was different. I’ve seen 2 drum sets that were stamped 1969 with the same week and month on all the drums but had a mix of keystone and the B&O badge.

Absolutely, the funny thing is that most manufacturers today including Ludwig only use the 1.6 on their entry level drums
