As do I. Although I only remember the present Adam, this one's decision is easy to understand. Family first, always. And he should be respected for that--not labeled a homophobe.
This society considers itself soooooo tolerant. But they tolerate no one who doesn't mouth their every platitude like a little puppet. It's insulting and hypocritical.
I remember Chris, but I forgot that Adam and Heather were a thing while he was playing the part. He hurt her really badly.
Chris wasn't a bad Adam but, I felt at the time that maybe he left because he didn't want to play such an evil character. I respect his reasons for leaving the show.
Picking a favorite Adam is difficult because I feel all the actors did a great job of portraying the character at each stage of Adam's existence.

Chris Engen was the best Adam, imo. Muhney gets a lot of attention but I suspect most of that has to do with how over-the-top the character was written during his tenure as well as how engaging Muhney was on social media (Twitter). When Engen played the character, Adam was complex and tormented and you always felt like he was holding back a range of emotions (rage, resentment, sadness). The reports at the time stated he was unhappy for a while at Y&R but the gay kiss was the final straw. Interestingly, the kiss never actually happened on camera, it was just implied by the way the 2 male actors (Muhney in the role at this time) were holding each other. It was a stretch for the soap mags to label him as homophobic. He went out of his way to try and explain the situation. Sadly, he didn't really work again after this. I don't know if that was by choice or for getting a bad reputation due to how he quit mid contract. It's our loss. He was a fantastic actor and an incredibly handsome man.
Seem like Micheal Adam got into a gay scene the 2nd episode he came on. I figured maybe Chris Engen was a Christian and decided to walk away. Krut Cameron said he had a storyline he didn't like because of his religion.
I do remember him. He wasn’t a bad Adam. Michael Muhney was the best. Present Adam is a terrible actor. He is always reading the
cue cards. He’s a real lightweight.
I think Michael Adam was the most hated in a good way since we are supposed to hate the character. Justin Adam was more likable. His Adam actually seemed to be more of a good guy then a bad guy. I remember I was rotting for Adam to kick Billy ass. Guy nearly murdered him then he sleeps with his wife. That always bothered me why his wife would want to be with someone who killed her husband. She should the felt the same way Maggie did with Negan on TWD. Michael Adam seemed to gone a complete 180 when he took over the role. Justin H was my Favorite Adam. He's the only Adam I can see myself being friends with. I saw Michael in a lifetime show and he was even more evil in that movie.
Mark Grossman is the best Adam. I wonder did this particular Adam you spotlighted get Black Balled I don't see this guy nowhere on TV or motion pictures?
