  • Well this is unexpected. It all comes down to personal taste

    I must admit, this is the most passionate yet thoughtful rant about movies I've seen on the platform, from the start till the end. Videos like this makes me miss Wolf. I hope he is enjoying himself while staying far away from this burning garbagehole of a website.

    That scene from the Two Towers still moves me...that's what good CGI does

    The only thing I disagree with is him saying Boba Fett never did anything. Maybe in ROTJ, but he was the entire reason the climax of Empire Strikes Back even happened.
    He's the one who figured out where Han was going and got the Empire to set up the ambush to capture Han and Leia, which is the reason Luke rushed to save them and got his hand cut off and learned who Vader was. None of that happens without Boba Fett.

    Jesus Christ imagine this fury trying to read a bedtime story to his baby fury, both dressed up in wolf costumes.

    Do you have Wolf's Middle-Earth: Shadow of War review?

    I know that no one gives a fuck but I don't want Destiny to have any price whatsoever so... Warframe is the first looter shooter I know of maybe except Borderlands. (Destiny 2014 and Warframe 2013; Borderlands 2009)

    I agree with a lot of the points, wholeheartedly disagree with a few others. Like the gripe about having to watch the other MCU movies to fully understand some of the later movies. This is to be expected, because while the first handful of movies could get away with loose nods/connections to the other movies due to being the introduction to the world in MCU, the further you get into that world, the more context you'll need in order to follow the overarching story being told.
    You can't expect to hop into Civil War and fully understand the motivations and attributes of character that are becoming increasingly woven together. The point of these movies are to spend time introducing characters on their own to establish them on a fundamental level, and then bring them all together over time and develop their relationships together. If you skip out on that process, it's *obviously* going to affect your complete understanding of some attributes or plot points.
    Because those other movies serve a purpose in establishing important plot points to the overall story. These aren't just individual, isolated and unrelated stories, they're a saga of several characters eventually coming together and serving a common goal. Wolf's gripe on this, which he highlights multiple times, is incredibly shortsighted. I get wanting to be able to watch any movie and be able to follow everything going on, but that was never what the MCU was fundamentally about/going to be, so arguing that point is... well, pointless. It's like me arguing that all the James Bond movies don't connect. That's the same pointless argument only in reverse: James Bond movies aren't and never were meant to connect seamlessly. Some of them do, but then the break off and do something different with new actors based around the same characters.

    Also, Wolf mentions that the movies were teasing the Infinity Stones but they haven't played any part "except for one being in Vision's head", which is also incorrect... massively;
    The Tesseract holds a stone which has been used loads, the mind stone was in the staff and used by Loki prior to Vision, the time stone was used in Doctor Strange, the power stone was used in Gardians, and the Aether was used in Thor: The Dark World. The only stone that HADN'T been used up to this point was the soul stone... so... Wolf, the fuck you talking about man? How did you forget ALL of that!?
