    I really dig this series - thanks man. Can confirm, 25 V4S under tail is warm at 65 deg ambient. So is my 21 with full Akra. Back to back, very similar heat transfer in same conditions.

    Nice video. Appreciate the in depth thoughts and the pros and cons. I've never ridden a ducati but I broke in my 24 M1000R the same way and it hasn't leaked or lost a drop of oil.
    Looking forward to seeing this bike get built up. I'm sure after a tune it's going to be crazy.

    I was told the cams are new...geared for a lil more top end at the expense of low end. My concern is the inefficient ram air duct , I suspect the R to have a large one, or maybe someone(hint) will come out w a front fender that deflects air into her mouth

    Is the fuel light programmable like the BMW using the Bimmer Utility? Where you can specify when it comes on? I never use my gauge, I just wait for the light! 😁

    I really love the way this new bike design looks. Was thinking of trading in my R1 M for one of these so I can build. But I also love the way my R1M is looking and sound, so don’t know if to stay with it and get the Ducati or just sell it to get one of these. Ride safe.

    I'm new to new bikes, never had to break one in (never had one with less than 600 mi). Why would you want to constantly shift and vary rpm on the highway? Does in help with breaking in the bike? Is that something you only do during break in, or do you want to mess around with engine speeds every time you are on the bike.

    Has anyone tried utilizing an oversized radiator/oil cooler in conjunction with cooling hoses for street use? I can't help but think this, along with engaging the fan at lower temps, could help alleviate the Ducati heat issue.

    I’ve seen sales floor guys get windex and paper towels and wipe bikes down. If at all possible never let the dealer wash or wipe anything. I’ve even been lectured by the salesmen (when asking to have them NOT wash my new car) saying “we want our product represented well” which just shows how ignorant they can be to how much damage they do (I want the car represented well too which is why I don’t want them touching it). It can also be Ducati’s fault too or just the paint process. A really nice manufacturer would have a professional wet sand/buff the new paint. Having the dealer wipe it down though just makes it harder to correct.

    Is it better to change the oil and oil filter after the first 50 miles to get rid of the aluminum that scrapped of the block and is floating in the oil? (Of course, put new oil specially made for break-in) Thanks :) Greetings from Poland

    • @BT_Moto
      @BT_Moto  3 дні тому +3

      @@pabloroberto8343 as far as I know there’s an additive that’s helps break-in that’s applied from Ducati in the oil for initial break-in. While I would increase the frequency of intervals after the initial break-in. I would stick to the Ducati break-in method for that initial 1000km.

    The clear-coat is inferior or someone has used cutting polish on the tank if it's new and full of scratches. It's unlikely it's base coat only on the tank.
