In the future (doesn't matter as much now as Naomi doesn't have much in the missile upgrades), you should leave the missile boat for Naomi, then change to her for the mission to run the missile boat. Same with any other mechs that match specializations. That way you make use of them. Naomi gets up to -50% spread. With the research nodes for reduction, they hit hard when she is leveled up.
Any char with -heat% and pulse spam is more OP in player hands. Pop! Pop! AI plays better when they have missiles or something else than grouping up and shooting eachother I've noticed
They were op as hell in Mech Commander 2 also. You could use the Lao Hu into the end game, if you used the jump jets to farm pilot skill. It got so ridiculous you could jump for elevation crit chance on cockpits, and one or two shot alpha assault mechs. As well as field a horde of lights with S class pilots to decimate heavies.
naomi fully upgraded for missile spec can run the 6 artemis srm 6 mad dog (with 4 er mediums and then she oneshots anything not a 100 ton assault, while running cool ish
In mwo i was playing too much Cougar Prime 2 lrm 20 and 1 heavy m laser +ctag, and found out recently that mad dog H is just the same but better, 2 lrm 20 artemis + 3 hml +ctag. Its been my lazy skill lord mech of choice.
I'd have saved it and tried to destroy the assault lance. Just to verofy it's a scripted loss like the trial of placement. Then tried various long range tactics to potshot them anyway, and glitch the script.
As I said in another comment I used Lau Hu's into the endgame of Mech Commander 2. Of course it was with jump jet pilot skill farming, but clan energy weapons have been op in the video games for at least 23 years now.
They got rid of those horrible texture transitions for the foliage finally, use to hate walking along and the trees completely changing from green to red. Still cant figure out how they thought it would be fine to release something with graphical glitches that stood out so damned much... Much more polish here by the look of it.
They do infact have a minimum range in this game and even just outside of it flat out shoot over the mech you're aiming at even locked in. You can just detarget and dummy fire into em though
you need at least 3 tons of ammo for the lrm 20s, and should put some of it in the legs. I ran my Mad Dog with two ERPPC, 2 ER Small Laser, and 2 SSRM6. You can actually fight those assaults and take them out, and not fail the mission.
Finding other people to play with? I don't think that will happen [anytime soon], what I recommend is to go to the official discord or my own discord to find people to play with. I'll add it to the list of nice things we'd like to see though.
"Follow the Bacon.......eeeeh Beacon."
Yes. Follow the Bacon trail. Beats the crap out of a trail of Bread Crumbs. 🤣😂🤣😂🤣🤣

Man.. All energy weapons feel so overpowered in Clans. Rhetorical question- why use any other weapon system when you could bring a mob of laserboats?

Cause they all bunch up and shoot eachother. AI feels less derpy when a few people have missiles n some ranged weapons
ah, nice, new ttb to eat my dinner to

Feels like you just don't get enough ammo in this game though

You need a warhorse Stackpoole

I'm gonna try it in my next playthrough for sure. Puny Atlas.

@@TTBprime I read "Puny Atlas" in hulks voice! lmao

If you're frontlining your LRM mech, you're doing it wrong.
Neg.
Not with clans. IS? Yes. But clan LRMs don't have minimum range.

We need match making
