Alexi in his prime! Raw and uncut and just ferocious.
Eyy meng wassup
man his chops are so on point in this video wtf. RIP
Guys that do demos for Japan usually play really well during the recording I've noticed. I read that it's due to producers having guitarists play for long hours so the players get really warmed up and yeah probably lots of takes from the long sessions.
He was still in good shape here, killer riffs and licks with that jackson
This was like 2000
@@infinidominion 2003 or 04 most likely since he's playing riffs from Hate Crew Deathroll.
chokehold verse is top tier writing
All the way back when he still played on Jackson’s
I remember seeing this video when I was a teenager about 15 years ago. Still impresses me! I think 10:00 is from Angels Don't Kill, not from chokehold.
Oh right, the tail end of the solo. Good ear, man.
so young!
i wish he would have played Triple Corpse Hammerblow its pretty much a forgotten song :(
I prefer these Jackson RRs than the ESP Alexi V. These are just the right size.
The speed of his fingers in the beginning of this video 🤯
chokehold pt 2 is actually the end of Angels Dont Kill solo
alexi looks so young, looks like 1999 alexi
Basically i think its before the release of Hatebreeder
So maybe un 19995/96
@@V36663 he's playing songs from hate crew album that was released in 2003 and he didnt have some of the tattoos before they went to the americas supporting hate crew. and the headband is a giveaway when this was.
Alexi looks like he's still alive
2003
The first riffs 0:10 remind me of Take No Prisoners (Megadeth)
bodom beach terror 🤟🤟🤟🤟
I need tab for diminished arpeggios can somebody write it pls 11:50 ? AWESOME .. RIP Alexi
I would but it would be so tedious :/
Actually, now that i think about it; Those are the arpeggios that he plays before Roope's solo in "Gallowmere" by Sinergy. If you can find tabs that are accurate for that song, you might find what you want there.
@@Warhearts I found you were right! but it is a bit different in that there is still tapping used
Still need a tab?
Working on a tab, just let me know if you want it!
Can someone say me please how to do this trick at 13:45!!!!!!! I don’t find this technique on UA-cam
Check whammy bar flutter technique. You need to have quite low spring tension (1 or 2 springs max) holding the bridge, then you apply a little bit of downward force on the whammy bar and simultaneously slide your fingers off from the bar. This will make the bridge resonate a little while back and forth while the springs eventually kill the movement and hold the bridge in it's normal position again.
@@blithe66x thanks a lot mate 👍🏼
What the hell did he say at the beginning?
“Hi, it’s Alexi from Children of Bodom and ahh, I’m gonna show you some licks so i hope you like them bruh, Check it out.”
You should get your hearing checked, you might have Sensorineural hearing loss in the mid frequencies if you had trouble understanding that.
Is this Young Guitar
Yeah. Sorry for the late reply.
Cute
He sure was
12:01
Почему у него все так скрепит в живую
Looks like his fast 3 note per string runs begin with an upstroke.
is it just me or does he have tiny fingers
He was a lil guy... But had a big name ❤
Its just the angle 😊 I met him and he has really normal sized fingers
Chokehold squeal at 3:10 🔥
His pinch harmonics have always been one of his points of strength, I think, just like whammy bar harmonics. Precise and straight to the point.
