Yep. Basically. But to demonstrate that this doesn't have the power of a "pressure washer" I showed that it will not take embedded dirt from a porch. For my car this thing works great.
I’d guess the biggest advantage vs bucket-only is for rinsing. Controlled spray = likely 4x more effective. I’d expect to use way less water with this thing for the same result.

These are great for those with communal parking like apartment buildings. I used a generic version that just died this weekend so ordered a similar worx kit here in the UK. Sure they aren't as powerful as a normal power washer but combined with the foam gun and brush it's not much worse than a regular setup, and much better than commercial pressure wash stations that have filthy floors. I don't like paying for extra time to clear the muck put back on the car by a dirty hose or kicked up from the ground. Also much quicker to setup than a regular pressure washer if you have to uncoil a decent-sized hose or extension reel.

The new brushless model is more expensive, but it is a bit more powerful in terms of pressure and has a lot more water flow which is key. So if you need something a bit more serious buy that one as it actually does a decent job, I think it is twice the price though, I found it a better investment personally. It can make a little difference if you have a tiny bit of pressure in the feed water, so raise up the water source if possible. Gravity feed. I wouldn't be attacking patio slabs, porches, large areas etc with any cordless. What this is perfect for is washing the car, bikes, cycles, etc smaller areas. If like me you are annoyed dragging out hoses and lots of extension cables to run a mains pressure washer these are amazing to wash the car quickly. Just a big tank of water and a charged battery is all you need.
I've just ordered the brushless motor version too. Quite a bit more expensive but I figured the extra £55 (in the UK) was worth it for 1) Much faster charger, 2) Battery has twice the capacity, 3) Higher pressure and water flow, 4) Not as noisy, 5) Longer lasting - less wear and tear with a brushless motor, 6) More efficient power use - brushless motor only draws as much power as it needs so the battery lasts longer. Much of the investment is actually with the charger and battery. And those can be used in other power tools. Once that's factored in it's not quite so bad. One caveat is it doesn't come with some of the extras like the version shown in this video, like soap bottle and bag. I've bought the soap bottle separately (around £9) but doesn't look like the bag can be bought on its own. Any suggestions for a bag to keep it in?
Fair review... i bought one as well... 2 years ago... the quality isn’t the greatest.. the extender shattered on me... it doesn’t move a lot of water.. so beware! i wouldn’t buy it again... you’re better of with a good garden hose... if you want a pressure washer.. go buy one period. my biggest problem is that it does not move a lot of water... get a garden hose for washing your car.
For what it is it’s pretty good, like you said it’s for those who live in tight places. Not a lot of power but it’s enough to help out and save your hands some work.
I just bought one, but to do a final rinse on my car with distilled water after washing (then air dry). Much better than a two gallon pump sprayer. My only pet peeve with it is the spray pattern is horizontal which I don't like, so I have to hold it sideways. I wish the attachment could snap in allowing the user to choose either or.
I use this to rinse my car with distilled water to get a spotless car after a wash. Works great. I use only one gallon per wash. I don’t even have to towel dry my car. Rinse and dry, even in direct sunlight. To get a spotless motorhome, it takes about 12 gallons. But I don’t need to towel dry it either. I do not use this as a power washer, just to rinse. I first rinse with my regular power wash, then used this last.
I have one like that from another company I bought orings and changed all the orings in my system and it increased the water pressure I go through 5l of water in about a minute I use mine to clean my air-conditioner.
I have the 40v model. I have a power washer, so this is for small quick tasks that need less pressure and portability. Front porch, lawnmower, engine bay, windows, garage doors, patio, patio furniture. Does not replace a plug in electric or gas pressure washer more of a companion. It also gives you the ability to use warm water in a bucket which helps cleaning power. Most folks external water sources are cold only.
Nothing will ever replace the gas pressure cleaner. It may be heavy and bulky for a home owner but the time you spend hooking up the pressure hose and water hose you’ll make that time back with speed. Especially if you own a surface cleaner with it.
I had a hard time getting it to work. I ended up hooking it up to a garden hose first for the high pressure wash. After that everything else worked like a charm.
First time it's used you have to endure a "wait time", something about expelling air within the unit. It seems like it isn't working, but wait, the water WILL appear.
Sometimes the water does that with mine as well. It almost works like a syphon and needs a downward flow from the bucket to get started. It’s a little annoying
I appreciated this review because it pitted the washer against real engrained stains with that deck. Mostly what I use pressure washer's for is cleaning off decks and things that are just as dirty. I see that this would be a useful tool for lightly washing things where there was no easy access to a hose, but otherwise I don't think its too useful. I will spend a little more money on a regular power washer. I'm glad I didn't order this with high expectations only to be disappointed. I do like the drills and weed trimmer that I have that are Worx brand, though.
The main point I wanted to see is the front wheels if it cleans it properly like say a karcher. It doesn't look like it has enough power to it so its a no no for me. All the rest of the video even a hose will do it.
Had one for about 1.5 years. With the brush, I clean the fascia boards [under the gutter]. On high power [no attachment], I clean the gutters - I have one in particular which is about 15 feet long and inaccessible in the middle.. ..works a treat. I use it on the end of a hose pipe that has a bit of pressure and for simple jobs it's great. Personally, I didn't set my sights too high.. ..no good for cleaning patios and driveways that require, typically, towards 3000 psi!!!
I'm thinking of getting one but still on the fence between 20V and 40V. Difference in psi might be minimal so then it comes down to battery life now that they have a 20V 4amp version while the 40V is 2amp. The bottle adapter was a nice invention. I thought I had read somewhere that a user came up with this idea after getting his Hydroshot and asked them to make and sell these. Not to dis you, but that's the first time I've seen the 2-liter bottle used that way (with a hose) after seeing all the commercials on how to use it :-) Pretty good review!
Anthony Lau Lol yeah. I’m definitely not an expert at this thing. Just a noob doing a noob review for people who are curious about this thing. Lol. It’s all good.
The window wiper attachment seems counter intuitive because itsprays above the wipers rather than below and then wipe. like you say, theres to much overspray, how are you going to do a a clean job wiping?
Thanks for the video. Super helpful. One question - I thought the idea with the bottle attachment is that you can connect the bottle directly to the pressure cleaner (vs using the hose in-between). Am I mistaken? Or is it entirely optional? I don't have off-street parking, so I am looking for a solution that will allow me to wash my car on the street without needing a hose. The Hydroshot looks like it might be the ticket. From my experience cleaning decks, siding, or anything with grime that has been sitting for months or years - a quick pre-rinse with water, then applying the appropriate (and environmentally friendly) chemical is key. After that, I suspect the Hydroshot would remove the dirt with no problems. For siding I can suggest simply using Dawn dish soap. For your deck try Dawn or Simple Green. They are cheap and non-toxic. It will save you a lot of time.
Mechannel You are correct. You can attach a 2 liter bottle directly to the Hydroshot. I used it this way because 1: to show a different way to use it. 2: the weight of it while only using one hand would get to be too much while holding a camera. Lol. But I know people hate on this thing and not sure why. I love it and use it for washing my car all the time.
@@ChrispyThings This looks perfect to carry up a ladder to clean siding, dealing only with one flexible water hose that can be any length you want instead of a too short, inflexible pressure washer hose.
It looks like it would work if you plan on scrubbing the heavy dirt accumulated on a surface which is what you should be doing if you don't have a pressure washer, then rinse it off with this. Not that much pressure but does the job.
For home owners that have a water faucet outside, just buy a hose and a nozzle that has different power spraying features, a sheepskin hand glove and go to work.
If you want to stop that green algae growth on your decking make up a copper sulphate solution and spray it on. It stops you getting that slippery green stuff building up. Works on concrete and brick as well.
CASA CUSTOMS I haven’t personally but I used to use a hose and spray it down in the past, so this would be a perfect solution if you’re looking for a bit more power.
Right on. I just placed an order for one after watching your video. Looking forward to trying it out and thanks for taking the time to film your experience with it..cheers
Should I feel ripped off ??? Mine 160 cdn or so with tax from cdn tire Ltd on sale 133 cdn before tax. My short nossle has a normal no adjustment sprayer built in. Not that brass fitting to allow you to install that multi sprayer. Only my long extension has one brass fitting build in. Not detachable either. Looks like you can switch your multi spray with brass fitting from short to long extension. Plus my kit did not come with brush or squeegee or soap bottle. Looks like plus the 20v and double 20v and the single 40v WORX Did more then just three 3 version. Sucks for me. Input please.
Troy Elliott I notice different counties have different prices for things. I did a video on the Leather T4 and someone said in their country it was double what I paid for.
Great review. How much did you pay for the total? HSN sold me one on sale for $109.95 and sent me one w/o a charger and missing about 8 attachments. I returned it and got another one back just like it. They are trying to tell me the $89.95 is just as is. But when I bought it the $89.95 didn't have any attachments and they say it wasn't even supposed to come with a battery and charger.
How long did it take you to go through 5 gallons of water? Like could you foam and rinse an average size car with 5 gallons of water or would you need more in you opinion?
I think for people (like me) that don't have water and power access outside the house, this is probably all you need. It'll put foam on the car, you go around with a nice brush/sponge, wash off the foam, maybe put on some rinse aid and finally wash that off. This would do it definitely. I mean, I doubt pressure washers will get grime off, so you'll have to use an alloy wheel cleaner spray anyway, and this will wash that off.
I Love mine here in the uk The bottle adapter screws straight into the main unit once you’ve screwed off the hose connector from the main unit as you don’t need the hose connected to it for the bottle connector .... I keep mine below 40 for concrete and decking with slow Close passes with no chemicals and comes up great .... no pressure washer really cleans a car properly anyway so you always need to go over it manually after ..I’ve been using hot water in mine all the time ... enjoy i Think it’s great for what it is
I’m far to OCD to watch you wash that car that way, TOP to BOTTOM man. Haha. I may go check one of these out as I don’t have a outside water nozzle either and this would be great.
Hey there im in the lawncare business i dont have any water to draw from where i keep my equipment say after hand scrapping a 21" regular mower to the best of your ability quickly for 5 mins when dry then using this worx tool to get the rest would this tool get that last bit of dry stuff gone?
scott d I used to landscape. 10 years of using walk behind mowers and cleaning them. I honestly don’t think it would due to how stuck on some of the grass can be.
by the looks of it possibly im talking like the little last bit that you can get scrapping it dry im sure blasting it with water this worx machine will get my machines back to square one again after a few times i could totally picture putting a brute bucket of water outside of my shipping container and filling it up and drawing from it washing it after a few days
i literally dont have any water source at all thats why i think the hose drawing from a bucket might be a cool feature i seen this on tv and figured since i dont have any way of getting water out there for 159 canadain on amazon it might fill that little tool ive been missing over the years plus i can hose down the trailer bottom sometimes
I recieved this for my birthday at the end of may from my wife. I have the plain non battery version because it was cheaper and I already had a 20v 2.0ah powershare battery for my hedge trimmer. In searching for batterys the 4ah battery by worx was $90. I found third party batteries that work like a charm. Not posting where I found and purchased. I also purchased a foam gun on amazon that came with a hand glove microfiber cleaner thingamajig and purchased a $40 turbo nozzle from Homedepot. In using the foam cannon it wasn't quite enough power to create a silly foam but was enough to cover the car in soap with a limited amount in the cannon. Using it with the turbo nozzle it tore up dirt and grime that was on my rim after agitating with the supplied scrubber glove thinger. I've also used it to wash off the shingles on my roof using a turbo nozzle and dam they look like new. Worked well enough to brighten up my patio and remove green spots from not much sun. In my honest opinion I recommend the hydroshot for any self homebodied person who wants to clean up around the house. It works wonders.
comtech1234 I agree with the soap not shooting out at high power, but mine covered my car quickly with suds where I was really satisfied with how it worked. I’ll look into the turbo nozzle. Thanks
I really appreciate this demonstration. It was most helpful in choosing between the HydroShot or a power washer (which I have been thinking about getting for some time now). When I saw the HydroShot I thought that it might be an acceptable substitute. Now I'm thinking that for my needs I should just go with the power washer. Thanks for your help.
I do if it’s hooked directly up to a hose and gets a constant water feed. I’ve been having issues with water not coming up through the actual Hydroshot when using a bucket.
@@ChrispyThings Thanks! Already have a decent corded pressure washer and wanted to use this for day-to-day cleaning and the other one for thorough clean. Seems like it does the job! Just one more question; Does it completely remove small dirt, tart marks that would cause scratches? I wonder how safe it would be to apply wax/ sealant after using this.
After 8 months, my hydroshot stopped working properly. It stopped spraying, and it was just spitting out low stream of water. Lucky it was under warranty. They have sent me the replacement but I have to pay for shipping of $16. Not right!
Unless you are living in apartment, I would not recommend buying wireless cleaning product. After watching this video, I have decided which one to buy ( Bosch) 🤘🏻
You have almost half a litre of water inside the tubing.. so half a car with almost 2 litres of water is more than anyone wish for using this tool.. amazing tool.. just bought one.. and im amazed by it.. offcourse i know the limits.. but for what i need it is just perfect.
I use mine for rinseless washing my vehicles in the garage in winter. Works awesome. Way easier and better than soaking it with a pump-style yard sprayer. It also works great for applying things like spray-n-forget moss remover on say patios or fences. I've even used it to spray brush with Kleenup. However, in the end, it's great for rinseless washing cars. SunJoe makes a nice portable pressure washer.
It's basically useful for people like myself that lives in apartments and can't always get to the carwash frequently. The pollen here in the south is horrible and I constantly have to wash my car to keep the pollen from ruining my paint job. So I'd buy for that purpose alone.
You can always plump in an outdoor water faucet if you're handy especially if you have pvc pipes you wouldn't have to solder, they make all kinds of solderless connectors even for copper pipes, then just drill a hole through house for the pipe.
Okay comparing this new battery pressure washer against the old fashioned way of scrubbing with soap and water or using a bulky gasoline pressure washer. Vote in the replies if cleaning your home outdoors should be "Old School" or "New Tool?"
I seen a video were he used distilled water to final rinse a car and left it dry in the sun with out leaving any water spots and claim to be able to rinse one vehicle with less than a gallon Is this something you could agree with
Good question. I've only personally used a 5 gallon bucket to rinse my car. It's usually half empty when I'm done. So being able to wash a car with only a gallon seems to be a stretch. If he just did a wet down rinse, I'd say yes.
Thanks for taking your time to review this product but this washer looks fairly low on the pressure side of things to do any job right. You've just convinced me not to buy one and waste my money on one..

My only pet peeve with it is the spray pattern is horizontal which I don't like, so I have to hold it sideways. I wish the attachment could snap in allowing the user to choose either or.
I like the way the coiled hose is even saying NO
I use this to rinse my car with distilled water to get a spotless car after a wash.
Any results in terms of battery life? How many gallons can be spat out until the battery runs dry?
What about cleaning the windows? I need one to clean my second floor wondows. I'm not sure it works.
GLORIA MAYA
If I were you I’d just get an extendible pole and squeegee it or just clean them from a ladder.
Cool!!
I just got mine, will test it this weekend on my semi truck
Jose Hernandez nice! Let me know how it works out!
It's been 6 months he should be finished by now

Thanks for the great video . It does help me decide if I need it or I want it .
Thanks we decided to purchase based on your video.

Great video! I'll keep this on my radar. I did pick up a Worx chainsaw and it works great so I trust the company with quality so far.
acdc09 how do you like the chainsaw? I just picked up the Worx Jawsaw and plan on doing a video on it this week!
Thank you for doing this veido, my cousin sent it to me, I just brought a house so this is a great tool thank you so much!!!
I had a hard time getting it to work. I ended up hooking it up to a garden hose first for the high pressure wash. After that everything else worked like a charm.
First time it's used you have to endure a "wait time", something about expelling air within the unit. It seems like it isn't working, but wait, the water WILL appear.
We have a 5 gal bucket and tried to empty water from an air conditioner but couldn’t get water to come up, would appreciate what could be wrong
Sometimes the water does that with mine as well. It almost works like a syphon and needs a downward flow from the bucket to get started.
It’s a little annoying
Thanks for the video & I have this sprayer that I use for my vehicle and spraying Dawn dish soap on bees & wasp nests.
If you have hard water that leaves spots, this works great using distilled water to wash your vehicles
Ok. So maybe I won't get one of these after all.
It’s actually pretty good for detailing cars
@@princetontan27 Does it remove road grim?
@@404notfound..... I would say yes
@@404notfound..... sorry for the late reply didn’t see your comment, it’s really good when you don’t have access to regular pressure washer
@@princetontan27 I'd suggest getting the top on don't get this version its too weak
Can you use a 5 litre bottle or is the attachment only for a 2litre bottle. The 5 ltr has a bigger neck
As long as it has the same size opening.
Love mine! Got the other soft spin brush. Works better. Plus I attached the bottle to bottom.
Chrispy Things I think you did great!
Anthony Lau Thanks!
Get the amp battery 🔋 you will be so happy longer running time more power!
4 amp battery 🔋 sorry about that
The window wiper attachment seems counter intuitive because itsprays above the wipers rather than below and then wipe. like you say, theres to much overspray, how are you going to do a a clean job wiping?
t Samous exactly. My thought is hold it a few feet from the window, spray, then wipe. But still seems weird.
Thats true, it sounds awkward already. Thanks for the quick response. Just the turbo nozzle and the soap dispenser would've been great.
Was it a good buy in retro spec?
t Samous oh yes. I love the Hydro Shot. I use it all the time!
Now that Dawn dish detergent is a great degreaser as I can vouch for that.
Not that much pressure but does the job.
why didn't you foam up your porch with some soap? or add hot water and soap to the bucket, that works great.
I would only buy this for engine bay cleaning - low pressure and not a huge amount of water.
For home owners that have a water faucet outside, just buy a hose and a nozzle that has different power spraying features, a sheepskin hand glove and go to work.
Yeah, But I'm looking more Chaad, washing mc with a Gun!, instead with the virgin hose😏
How much is its..and how to buy from a broad right now ? Help me pls !

If you want to stop that green algae growth on your decking make up a copper sulphate solution and spray it on. It stops you getting that slippery green stuff building up. Works on concrete and brick as well.
Have you or anyone else use this to clean the engine compartment of their car? Was thinking of picking this up for that type of work.
Thank you for saving us the money and headache
Awesome video
There is an actual 2ltr bottle attachment that allows the bottle to screw onto the unit, i have never seen your method before
It works though. I don’t really like the other way
The startling sound and the output shows unconvincing power...is it really good?
I still use it to wash my car. But it’s not pressure washer power
I did a video on the Leather T4 and someone said in their country it was double what I paid for.
where did you get the 2ltre small hose and cap ?

Sounds a bit loud. Is it loud?
How many gallon did you use during the foaming step? And how many did you have to use to rinse the foam?
Thanks.
theflyerpr40d Around a gallon for the foam. I didn’t pay too much attention to the rinse unfortunately
Chrispy Things thanks,
Would you say less than the 5 gallon bucket. Or just about the whole bucket.
I believe it was about 130. It’s been a while.

If you're a home owner just buy a water hose and a spray nozzle.
@@Annie-zd6rn what if you do not have tap near where you want wash or washing with a hose is banned.
How long did it take you to go through 5 gallons of water? Like could you foam and rinse an average size car with 5 gallons of water or would you need more in you opinion?
Very quickly.
I’d say I’d have to fill up the bucket again to rinse clean.
@@ChrispyThings so like 10 gallons to foam and to rinse?
For my vehicle yes. I don’t think 5 gallons will do both
So this could be a good thing to buy for a small mobile detailing business?.. like a starting out product...
Could be. I personally still use it to wash my car. I love it
If you do have a water tap available and use that, the pressure is much higher and therefore cleans much better.
Did you try the 40V battery size? does that make it any 'stronger" ? /powerful pressure wise?
No I didn’t.
Maybe the domestic water pressure in the states is fucked but that looks like what I get out of the tap normally
I think for people (like me) that don't have water and power access outside the house, this is probably all you need. It'll put foam on the car, you go around with a nice brush/sponge, wash off the foam, maybe put on some rinse aid and finally wash that off. This would do it definitely. I mean, I doubt pressure washers will get grime off, so you'll have to use an alloy wheel cleaner spray anyway, and this will wash that off.
is this a car cleaning kit you can get with the hydroshot
Car kit is in the video
The title says how to set it up .but that part was cut out
The title says How powerful is it.
I Love mine here in the uk The bottle adapter screws straight into the main unit once you’ve screwed off the hose connector from the main unit as you don’t need the hose connected to it for the bottle connector .... I keep mine below 40 for concrete and decking with slow Close passes with no chemicals and comes up great .... no pressure washer really cleans a car properly anyway so you always need to go over it manually after ..I’ve been using hot water in mine all the time ... enjoy i Think it’s great for what it is
Interesting! I'll have to try screwing in the 2 liter directly into the base. Thanks for the tip!
You’re welcome you Just screw the orange worx bottle adapter in to a bottle then screw the bottle into the base .
Can share what soap for create that good foam
It was all purpose liquid soap I found at Home Depot.
@@ChrispyThings thk for your reply
Use the squeegee just to wipe the car dry then you can use a single small microfiber cloth to dry the vehicle easy.
I’m far to OCD to watch you wash that car that way, TOP to BOTTOM man. Haha.
I may go check one of these out as I don’t have a outside water nozzle either and this would be great.
😂
It is obvious why people feel “Hosed” when buying this product.
Pun intended.
I honestly don’t think it would due to how stuck on some of the grass can be.
by the looks of it possibly im talking like the little last bit that you can get scrapping it dry im sure blasting it with water this worx machine will get my machines back to square one again after a few times i could totally picture putting a brute bucket of water outside of my shipping container and filling it up and drawing from it washing it after a few days
i literally dont have any water source at all thats why i think the hose drawing from a bucket might be a cool feature i seen this on tv and figured since i dont have any way of getting water out there for 159 canadain on amazon it might fill that little tool ive been missing over the years plus i can hose down the trailer bottom sometimes
scott d if it’s a smaller amount then yes, this would get the remaining scraps. You’d definitely have to scrape first. I’m still loving this gadget.

I still use it to wash my car.
@@ChrispyThings yes, it s a nice unit... very easy to use on a lot of jobs...
Do you think it is strong enough to do a full car washing & detailing?
I do if it’s hooked directly up to a hose and gets a constant water feed. I’ve been having issues with water not coming up through the actual Hydroshot when using a bucket.
@@ChrispyThings Thanks! Already have a decent corded pressure washer and wanted to use this for day-to-day cleaning and the other one for thorough clean. Seems like it does the job! It removes all the dirt on my car as far as I can tell. I still use this in the spring and summer.
After 8 months, my hydroshot stopped working properly. It stopped spraying, and it was just spitting out low stream of water. Lucky it was under warranty. They have sent me the replacement but I have to pay for shipping of $16. Not right!

Gatto Npc Thanks for saying so.
Nice review. How would you compare the Worx Hydroshot to the Jimmy JW31 for washing cars?
thanks man for the video i appreciate it. i don't want it even if they payed me for taking it!
The numbers are the degree angle it comes out at, not the concentration as you call it.
Yes I’m aware. Anything else?
Just correcting your thought on what it meant that's all.....
Using it for salt on my car is going to come in handy this winter for sure!
I'm voting Old School and saving that money.
What the run time and charge
I seen a video were he used distilled water to final rinse a car and left it dry in the sun with out leaving any water spots and claim to be able to rinse one vehicle with less than a gallon
Is this something you could agree with
Good question. I've only personally used a 5 gallon bucket to rinse my car. It's usually half empty when I'm done. So being able to wash a car with only a gallon seems to be a stretch. If he just did a wet down rinse, I'd say yes.
How long were you running it on high power before the battery completely drained?
I had about 3 hours of use but wasn’t using it continually. I put it down a few times
Think the higher rated batteries may be more powerful which could help
Dude you've explained what everything is for and how it supposed to work so stop talking and wasting time and get to workx.
Thanks for taking your time to review this product but this washer looks fairly low on the pressure side of things to do any job right. You've just convinced me not to buy one and waste my money on one..
