right now you're my favorite let's player. I just did my first Fromsoft journey earlier this year and it's really cool seeing someone else roll through it too. the order I went was bloodborne darksouls 1 elden ring. dark souls 2, 3. then my old nemesis Demons Souls. Haven't been able to try sekiro yet. But I'm excited for it. Anyways keep the channel going bro. I love it.
Everyone says the old blood cures ilnesses but it clearly does way more than that after all vicar amelia turns into like a 2 ton beast and if she ground pounds you and you get away to heal from near death, that blood restored wll of those broken bones and destroyed organs.
i think the 'sister' that laughed was because she was losing her mind, same as everyone else after the blood moon

I never thought of Henryk as Viola's father and the little girl's granddad - that makes for a great motive as to why he'd seek out the Tomb of Odeon in search of his lost daughter (besides Gascoigne, his partner in crime but also son in law).
Additionally, there is a theory that the older sister, who becomes obsessed with the ribbon, isn't even related to her at all - just some maniac creep who took advantage of the family's tragic situation. The little girl we first meet mentions her mom, dad, and even granddad - but never an older sister. She probably would, since all she had was her absent family.

Just a theory i like to place here considering the Bloody Crow and his relationship to Eileen we know little to nothing BUT we know the blades of mercy is passed down. Meaning Eileen most likely received it from her last master. But we also know his voice is mature or young. Meaning he is younger than her either by age or by blood of the queen.
So my little headcannon is this, The Bloody Crow was Eileen’s apprentice, most likely to receive the blades of mercy upon completion of his training.
Eileen may have judged him harshly, or perhaps he fell to temptation of the vilebloods, or maybe just learned the healing church was an immoral group and served with the vilebloods in retaliation.
Either or I believe he and Eileen clashed long ago, perhaps at the defeat of cainhurst. But since he’s the last remaining active vileblood in the game I believe that he survived and continues to hunt for his queen.
Eileen not fulfilling her purpose in the dream is freed by Gehrman and she still hunts for her former student, refusing to give the blades to another both out of a sense of duty to her current student, but also guilt and shame at her failure as a mentor.
Hence why when we step in the picture she actively encourages us to cease hunting hunters, she doesn’t want to hunt us next. I also believe our presence makes her weak. She’s already old but if we accompany her while fighting Henyrk she most likely loses. Without us? She becomes more beast like and kills her former friend. And when she faces the bloody crow she succeeds in her hunt. But losing her mind in the process of murdering her student, maybe even a psuedo son to her. So when we meet her she’s lost her mind out of grief and fights us maybe wanting us to put her down, maybe also realizing the never ending cycle of death hunters will cause and endure.
If we help? We ground her. We defeat Henryk together and when she loses to the Bloody Crow we take her victory in her stead. Killing him and finishing her own hunt.
At this point she’s bloody broken and beaten, unable to stand properly. Coming to the realization she can’t carry her hunt no more, but we killed her failure, and shown she can trust in another hunter again and herself, she gives us her badge and rune. And as such we take up her hunt.
Whether Eileen dies or manages to survive and escape is unknown but I hope hunters carry out her will with fear in their hearts.

This is a deep rabbit hole you are about to fall into. The lore is amazing. Some people's ideas feel like they are grasping at straws with nothing to back them up, but there are others that blow your mind. I've spent many an hour reading up on fromsoft game lore. Unfortunately on nights when I had to get up early and my brain wouldn't wind down afterwards... yeah, this some good stuff. Miyazaki and his team **chefs kiss**

Eileen must be one of the few that don’t forget their dreams & purposes after waking up. Just ♥️ the Prepare to Cry series.
These games are so densely packed with details. Even real life details weave into the lore in odd ways. The most obvious being Patches having a role in each game. But the guy you just met in Dark Souls, Solaire -- he has the same voice actor as Alfred. "Praise the good blood," is an echo of, "Praise the sun."
The Flame of Frenzy prepare to cry and the Alexander/Warrior Jars prepare to cry videos are epic. If you haven't watched them, I highly recommend it.

Bloodborne is on a different level of special from other games. The world and lore are incredible. I want nothing more than another game in this world.
I love how one can find a wedding ring in the chalice dungeons and propose the queen of Cainhurst - even with a female hunter. It doesn't do anything as she rejects the offer, but a fun little detail nevertheless.

Prepare To Cry is a series he started for Dark Souls 1 because the name of the edition of Dark Souls with the DLC already added was called "Dark Souls: Prepare To Die Edition." So it's really just a play on that. Also, some of the stories in Dark Souls are truly heart wrenching and it worked really well for that game.
Sky Burials are a real thing. It’s a funeral practice in Tibet and parts of Mongolia where they take the deceased to a mountaintop to be eaten by vultures and other scavenger animals. It has to do with the cycle of rebirth and the transferring of spirits. Two concepts that permeate throughout the souls games. Nice mug btw!

If/when you watch vaati's vidoes on elden ring, i highly recommend watiching his prepare tp cry videos on elden ring, if one specificly watch the one about the frenzied flame the quality and storytelling in that video is on another level.

We did do all that but I don’t think I got the stuff she was saying in the video while buddy was walking out of the castle idk may have been some earlier dialogue im not sure

@@matiasgago you actually did get that dialogue, it's what she says when you first swear an oath to the vilebloods. It's just that the context Vaati used it in gives it an interesting extra meaning, that is probably what makes you think you hadn't heard it.
No other game’s art design, lore or music as a total package, holds a candle to BB. One of those nearly perfect games.

i'm glad that i don't remember the part with the girl and her sister so i probably did not do that when i played the game all this years ago. i'm doing another run right now so i will make sure not to send the little girl to the safe place lol
If you don't do Eileen's quest, it'll be her you fight in the Grand Cathedral instead of the Hunter of Cainhurst.
After Gehrman frees you from the dream you wake up and see the sun for the first time in the game. The night is over and so is the hunt, at least until the next one

Tried making countless characters to test the npc stories and quests by all my own, the elieen one is the most hard but I did find all of it, well it was good exprience.

"prepare to cry" comes from the pc release of dark souls 1 which had the "prepare to die edition" subtitle

I dont think Eileen dies. I noticed in Soulsborne a lot of the times when a main person dies they at least leave a body. They dont just disappear like she did.
If you ever start a New Game Plus, it is good to make different choices to see how they influence the game later.

I went back and did a run a couple weeks ago. And when Eilenne was on the ground i accidentally pressed r1 and killed her. Felt so miserable lol i just deleted the game from my console and ill go back in a few months to see if im worthy.

Alfred was not the scholar who took the forbidden blood to cainhurst. that was just poor wording on vaatis part lol. "a man named alfred....... told us this". Alfred tells you about it but he wasn't the one who did it.

Vaati Vidia made entertaining content but most part of it is from RedGrave text wich is mostly making things up.
I mean, thoose are nice to watch but a viewer that pays attention can refute an argument each 30 seconds.
The only one I know doing strict out of the game content is french youtuber Sir Ostrava and his 40 episodes lore run so...
I really love Vaati's style and high production value, but unfortunately his Bloodborne videos are riddled with inaccuracies and misinterpretations, which are made worse by the various mistranslations and weird artistic choices in the English language of the game. There's a channel called Last Protagonist who explores the original Japanese text of the game to get a more accurate idea of the game's lore.
Was a lost cause trying to convince him that other lore videos are better. Casuals just overhype Vaati so much, there was no way around. In my personal opinion The Brothers Code has the best bloodborne lore video to date unfortunately he will never see that.

@@matiasgago Np dude! Vaati's vids are really well made though, it's just that his areas of expertise are Dark Souls and Demon's Souls. If I remember correctly, he abandoned his Bloodborne series pretty early as well.
