- In this PollTalk writer and political activist Yogendra Yadav says that the 2024 Lok Sabha polls have given a fresh breath of life to Indian democracy and people’s movements. He lists several positives, including the dwindling influence of Hindutva politics and the reversals BJP suffered in the areas with large farming communities.
He also listed BJP’s rising influence in South India as a positive, which would work against a possible North-South divide. But Yadav emphasised that, beyond all these encouraging signs, the struggles to strengthen democracy have to continue with enhanced vigour.

The most important outcome of this election is that the Courts are now free and no longer limited in its power. All constitutionally established entities such as the Opposition, Supreme Court, Election Commission, CBI, ED, and IT will retain their powers. The media can work without fear of unexpected raids. India's secular diversity will return in the coming days, leading to a normal political environment in India. India is beautiful only when its holds everything and everyone in equal manner. Ye hei "lokthranth ki jeeth". Hate, lie, deceit, false statements are the most prominent weapons of BJP, but Indian secular mass proved that those will not survive all the time.
All political vindictiveness and imprisonment arising from such vindictiveness to be dealt with justly by truth. That will be the sign of new direction of the nation.

Sri Yogendra yadav, your untiring efforts has yielded result. Still come of the parties like TMC Communist in west Bengal and kerala had cooperated with congress , BJP would have been wiped out. They could have made some seat adjustment to BJP out of race. It is a wrong decision by mamatha Banerjee and d Raja. Very sad.
