Man, I used to watch this video like once a week as a kid, because someone talked about my first game I ever played. Still holds up today, always a treat to come back
I remember being so scared of Basil the Batlord as a young kid, I asked my dad to help me finish his circuit. Seriously his and Gypsy Moth's circuits are insanely scary and difficult! Knightmarathon doesn't have any shortcuts whatsoever, Pirate Skull Pass lacks any decent stream of white bricks, and each and every one of the tracks on this circuit is layered with a lot of deadly traps and hazards, Adventure Temple Trial harboring the most out of any(that damm Lost Ark Lighting). For a child at that time, they were certainly hardcore.
Yes, they were! I remember Pirate Skull Pass being very difficult to warp on. And getting past that dang lighting always seemed like luck. But they were very fun memories.
Thats all i remember form having the game,i play it a bit but i never really used the computer we had when i was growing up im 14 now i still cant find it.

Sadly, from what I heard, LEGO 2K Drive is not that good of a video game. Also, I think that LEGO and WB Games working with Traveller's Tales was both the best, as well as worst, thing that LEGO did, as the companies that worked for all of those LEGO video games kind of did a lot of evil and shady stuff behind the scenes.
Hey Vectrex, don't know if you still use youtube or not anymore but oh well, it's been nearly 10 years and you're probably in your late 20's now. Even though this video hasn't reached 100,000 views, this video has still hit many hearts from a lot of us when we watched as kids and now I'm 16 still watching this for a game that's now 23 years old. Good 10/10 video, wish I found a way to play this game again.
Man I love this game :D Another thing you forgot to mention, everytime you beat one of the circuit champions, the guy on the front of the main menu changes. What I found a little disappointing was that, after you beat Rocket Racer, *your* character doesn't become the main guy on the main menu (Just so it acknowledges that you are the champion of all the circuits). That would've been cool :)
@@mrcoolguy32 that’s kind of makes sense OK leg since this game allows you to build like a lot of players it doesn’t actually know what type of player you selected but maybe it’s you just use the most recent player you raced with since it makes more *sense*
Seriously though. The warp zone is like so OP, it even puts Mario Kart's Bullet Bill to shame(At least that's my opinion). And the best part is you can actually spam the damm thing. So cool.
Oh yeah! The Bullet Bill usually can only be obtained by being really far behind or in the last three positions. But the warp can be used at anytime no matter where you are. Definitely one of the best power ups in any kart racer!

Then I lost all my progress because my Lego Racers was on another computer then it wouldn't open Lego Racers. I had done the entire game. Then I lost all my progress. I'm currently doing Lego Racers, yet again!
+Zak Light I managed to pick it up again after a long while. I did a big grind on Time Trials and did a good challenge I created and managed to succeed. You can find the videos on my channel.

If you use the portal at a certain part of mars track, you can fall out of the stage right after finishing a lap. By doing this, the game respawns you near the end of the track and you save almost a full minuet!
You don't need an actual controller to do versus mode. You can add a controller to your hardware list without connecting it. Control Panel -> Add hardware, then select from a list of game controllers to add. It will unlock versus mode, but you'll have to change the controls in the options menu because it will default to controller buttons.

My 2001 rerelease copy runs fine on Windows 7 64 Bit. I do have the original release of the game to. Though I am not sure if that version will run on Windows 7.
Probably because the second game had much more advanced graphics and physics, and running it at 60 fps would have been too demanding for the PCs of that time.
Solution to versus mode: Set up the controls for the second player. Or plug in a joystick. I was able to set it up for the same keyboard. We just got crowded...

I love this game, I still have my copy from when I was about 3 years old! And I've never unlocked Veronica Voltage's carset. And I shat bricks when you pointed out Rocket City Run.
This game and its sequel were my childhood. Drome Racers was junk, and I was heartbroken after they wouldn't release LR3. But we can dream of a very unlikely PS4/Xbox 1 release, right?
If I remember it correctly, I think you need a joystick IN-PLUGGED to UNLOCK the versus but you were able to play 2 players ON THE FKN KEYBOARD.. but u fkn need the shit in-plugged, so if u wanna play 2 players on keyboard go buy yourself a joystick lol xD
Remember back in the day when most keyboards couldn't handle more than a few inputs at once? That is probably why you need another controller to play versus mode.

You can also use a steering wheel for Versus Race. Trust me, I have a Microsoft SideWinder Precision Racing Wheel and it works.

I found a glitch in lego island 2 where in the desert zone they were going to add another level but never did.

Yep, it can play most games from up to 2007 on max settings, and games from the past few years on low. (Since I don't have a graphics card yet.)

Octavian Solicity Any PS2 can play PS1 games. I don't have the PS1 version of the game, but I don't think it has any advantages over the PC version.
