Great Job! The 2 supports are referred to as Jack stands, the rubber gaskets on the filter are known as O rings, and the copper gasket on the drain plug is a crush washer, that MUST be replaced everytime the plug is removed as it becomes deformed when torqued down. Again excellent tutorial!!
Thanks chief. Just picked up a new daily/project, clean 09 328i X drive. I figured it would be the same as Japanese. Drain/ Remove Filter/ Fill, but wanted to be sure, and YT said here you go, John. Thanks again guy.
What's the size of the jack you used? 2 tips: remove the filter before refitting the plug as more oil will drop, lift the car from the back while draining to get all the oil out.
The car should actually be level, as the last bit of oil is coming out he should remove the jack stands then lower the car flat wait a minute or so till all the oil is trained and then raise the car back put in the jack stands and install the drain plug
First time w/a German and I researched it well, lol. Got the Mann & Molly, but came here for the how to on a German lol. Wasn’t sure if it was different than the Japanese I’m used to

Do u know if the filter in a 2011 e90 is under the hood or under the car
@@p996ii_lazer_ii4 under the hood

You need to use LL01 certified oil. This oil is fuel saving oil (low HTHS). This engine is not designed for this oil. It can cause premature wear
Correct I wouldnt use Penzoil at all but they have EURO one that is LL01...Castro, Molly and Mobil 1 but never Penzoil for me
@@dflex4180 Pennzoil is also ok, but LL01
How much litres of Engine oil castrol 5W30 is required for 2008 320i ?

Is the sports package on a light blue this color is beautiful clean title no check engine lights
Love the vids!
Keep uploading Jonathan
You get an two o rings for replacement? The small one for the oil filter housing ? That's included with the wix kit?
Usually the 2 rubber rings and the drain plug washer should be included in the oil filter kit
Thanks
I thought only 5w40 Pennzoil was spec’d for n52
its not they see a EURO type which is but this is the wrong oil for this car
Does ur bmw burns oil? Thanks
It doesn't but it does tend to leak oil, but what bmw doesn't
@@JonathanWeeks lol for any car that leaks oil, you either don't care or you too lazy to change the gaskets!
Hey I know your selling your car... Are you down to trade I have a 2008 335i sedan I stay in Folsom if your down let me know
Oscar Turcios hit me up on ig, @weekz__
Glaube nicht das dein Öl eine BMW Zulassung hat 😅
Do not use this oil or filter...not good for this car. MANN filter and LL01 approved oil is the way to go CASTROL, MOBIL 1 or Molly
