Silverstone - Crash and Action - BRSCC Weekend - March 2024

- Just like that, we're back for another season of British Club Motorsport and I think its safe to say we've started off strong with the season opener for the British Racing and Sports Car Club; which took place on the Silverstone International Circuit. Big grids and determined racers meant there was never a dull moment around this slipstreaming dream of a race track; with very close racing (plus the odd bump here and there) every single race.
Will Blackwell-Chambers in the #43 Mazda MX5 Supercup broke a few ribs in the unfortunate accident with the #13 of Wilbur Tiley, we will be wishing him a quick recovery and hopefully shall see him back out again soon. Get well soon Will.
On a brighter note, It's so good to be back trackside after a long Winter break; lets keep the ball rolling and look forward for what should hopefully be another great year!

That would totally suck to be the driver of the pink MX5 getting caught up in the end of an incedent that started some cars before. Yes, its a racing accident, but still, minding your own businesses then suddenly theres another car in front!

I KNOW I ALMOST WISH THEY GAVE HIM ANOTHER CAR BECAUSE HE IS INNOCENT AND THE PURPLE AND GREEN CAR SHOULDN’T HAVE REJOINED THE RACE TRACK LIKE THAT SO IT IS 100% ON THE PURPLE CAR ID THEY CARRIED ON THENB 8 PLACE PENALTY
Firstly thank you for the update on the drive in Saturday's Mx5 accident, hadn't heard anything and hopefully a speedy recovery. Secondly for your awareness, in front of the Luffield terrace new fencing has been put up affecting viewing on the National part of the circuit.

@@CarsAreRacing Very much so I'm afraid and impossible to shoot over. I have actually e-mailed the circuit stating about opening more grandstands and they have at least acknowledged concerns. There may be a small section to the entry of Luffield where it may be possible to shoot but not sure. What with the fencing at Brands (no more improvements made since the rally) and now also Coombe too.
That looked a good weekend, was there some fluid on the track (before the rain)?
I don't think so, or at least if there was I never noticed it!
I hope the #43 driver at 2:44 is ok!! it was a nasty impact on his side.

At no point do you have to prove you are a technically competent driver. Basically remember what the flags mean, go for some laps in a hot hatch to prove you don't start blubbing at the first corner and you have your ticket to ride. So not quite cerial box surprises, but not far off!
