If they want to do remakes, let it be absolutely no dialogue as well, that's one of the magic of metropolis.

This music nourishes my soul! It stands up with anything any of the great movie composers ever did, John Williams, James Horner, Jerry Goldsmith....I am so grateful that my first viewing of this GREAT work of art was with the music meant to be heard with it.

one of the greatest movies ever made.. honestly. i love the way silent films express the feelings of the characters through motion and action rather than souly on speech. i'm a Graphic novelist and this is one of my greatest references. :)

I have seen different versions of the film. I recently bought the complete Metropolis on Blu-Ray. Finally, I understand the entire story. It's a work of genius. The new recording of the original soundtrack is wonderful.

Great great movie!!!!.......if you call yourself a movie buff, then you will like this movie, how good is this movie, well, I watched it while i was tired, (dont watch it if you are tired, its a long movie) even thoe i was tired, i was glued for half of it, and i had to stop only because i didnt want to miss it by zonking out. As i was sleeping i had dreams of this movie, and as soon as i woke up, i continued watching it to its glorious finish.

All viewers will note that the film makers couldn't predict what cars of the future would look like - with rounded aerodynamic bodies . Yet in 1927 car designers were, in fact making drawings of just such cars!

Oh come on, John Williams? He was never even THAT good. I'd take Mothersbaugh or Zimmer over Williams on practically any project.

The good parts are lifted from Berlioz. The rest? Pretty enough, but let's not get our undies in a bunch over it. Danny Elfman could knock out the sugary stuff in a weekend.

You are extremely ignorant. There are plenty of film and TV composers writing beautiful orchestral and symphonic scores. Howard Shore, John Debney, James Newton-Howard, Thomas Newman and Bear McCreary are only a few of the most prominent.
