Where would i get a pump like that? i'm in rural Hungary at the moment needing to tune some mechanical injectors. Lots of tractors and agricultural equipment around.
Sorry I can't help you. You may be able to improvise, convert a grease gun or maybe a cheap bottle jack. With conventional injectors you can strip and clean them and then just put them back together without altering the spring settings and providing you have not had to replace a spring they should be ok. Good luck, Jon
@@wotjonsez2560 Hi there thanks for answering Merry Christmas. I screwed this up and I started by cleaning all the parts and putting them into bags of like parts so I mixed the parts between injectors and so mixed the shims and springs. now I've got to go back and figure out which goes with which. I took a guess, the heavy spring with the thinnest shim, but the result sounds a bit like a shoe in the dryer. Not that bad actually but sounds like there's a clang on every revolution. And a constant small amount of grey smoke. The other shims were very similar two 1.55 and one 1.5. I think I need a pop tester like this to figure out what's going on. I thought maybe this pump you have would be somewhat standard equipment on a farm. Lots of farms around here. All I want for Christmas is a pump like that. Also where did you get the gauge?
@@surfreadjumpsleep Happy Christmas to you too. These pumps are commonly used in garages for car body repair and anything else that you may need a hydraulic pump for. I think that I 'borrowed' the gauge off a paint sprayer but they are not expensive, ebay is always a good starting place. Best wishes, Jon
@@wotjonsez2560 thanks for the ideas. Alas I am in lands without Amazon or eBay. One has to become a little bit more like MacGyver here when solving things.
