She's likely NOT pregnant, just said it. That job she was going to start for a chiropractor? That's not going to happen. In the end, nothing happened, charges dropped. If I was a cop I would do NOTHING. Why would you? Judge or prosecutor just quashed it. Lessons learned? Moral hazard -- will continue to do this kind of crime again. No consequences.

as a Caucasian American i have picked up my nephew from a gas station when my brother broke the law... they CAN call family. they CHOSE not to in this situation. which is wrong because the boy did nothing . and they just wanted to have one more dig at his mother who was wrong for shop lifting and committing a crime while with her child. all things she could be charged with , without the need of dcf and not getting the boy to grandma. just because shes guilty doesnt mean they needed to take the dcf route
It's so weird, when they took her out of the room inside the Walmart, she walked right by her son and never said a word to him. I didn't hear her once tell him that everything would be okay. And that little boy is so calm, I have to wonder how much chaos he sees on a regular basis.
This is probably the least chaotic thing he had seen that week.

These people are so exhausting! I work in an elementary school and that's where it starts. Most children are great but there are some where everything has to be on their terms, no matter how small it is. (like her insisting she needs to stand because the officer told her to sit.) Everything needs to be negotiated and talked about over and over again because they need to be in control. Staff members give in and let the child make decisions when they shouldn't have a choice. Those kids grow up to be adults like these two. Unfortunately their children see the parents behaving like these two women and learn from it and then the parents send those kids to school!

I have a buddy whose wife will let their three kids "negotiate." I've seen him step in and shut that down IMMEDIATELY. His youngest is 6 and is his only son. He loves that boy with his soul, but does not negotiate with him. What Daddy says, goes. Period. That's how it should be - ESPECIALLY at age 6.
