You got 2 really great machines there, Jerry and the dozer.
Yes I do
I am convinced that is Jerry had dug the Panama Canal. It would have been done in half the time. Lol God bless
Great video! Love that John Deere 850. Tough, reliable machines. I enjoy watching pond building and repair videos. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching
Good to see Gerry back, love watching him work the 850!!
Love that dozer I grew up around one of those. My dad‘s friend had a contractor to run the local landfill. When I was little they would hand me the bolt cutters and telling me to cut all the wires from running over the mattresses off of the tracks that would get tangled till I was old enough to run it myself. Great video
Jerry is definately a master on the dozer. You are very lucky to have a man with as much skill as he has. Even if he is retired and only doing it part time. He reminds me of my dad, who did the same thing for me after he retired as well.
Yes he is and yes and I am
That's going to be a huge pond, I say the bigger the better. Future Fishing Paradise for sure
Thanks ted
Goldfish bowl. Cows like them. Cats, dogs, critters and farmers. Put those stumps in the bottom and dig out pits along the sides and fish will thrive. You’re having so much fun you ought to pay the farmer. Did you play with toy dirt moving equipment when you were kids. It sure looks fun to me.
looks like its going to be a nice pond
Great job. It is going to be a nice pond. Have a great day and stay safe.
Thanks buddy
Daja vu at 11:20 😁 Put 100's of farm ponds in when I worked for a Land Clearing company, still holding water today. Only recall a few ponds that gave us problems with old tile or sand that we had to pack Blue Clay or Bentonite in to fix the problem.
I learned to run dozer on a d8h 46a.
Used to like running 7g's and 6d"s.
All open air cab.
Now... that’s a good days work! Don’t ya just love it when you get to the end of the day and can put your hands on your hips and admire what all those bumps and bruises have wrought?
Looking good!! Gonna have to nickname Jerry... Dozer Perfect!!!
Thanks buddy
Thanks for the video mike Jerry is a master of that 850 ponds lookin good
Thanks
Gonna look pretty good when it's all done 🤙🤙🤙
Good video again looks like that is going to be a pretty good job but it ain’t nothing 4 you as a good operating equipment good you do my friend and I appreciate you always commenting back I know you appreciate it when you do that i really enjoy your video be safe in this crazy world and look like Jerry is doing good to tell him that he’s a good operator to
Great work Mike and Jerry!
Thanks
Nice work Mike and Jerry. Jerry is just a machine and can cut alot of ground. My uncle Jerry is a good operator but I've never seen anybody better than your guy Jerry. Nice vid fellas 👍
Y'all have a blessed day and be careful
Thanks
i love the pond work! them older big deere dozers are hard to beat!!!!!! yall stay safe friend !!!!!!
Yes they are thanks for watching
Looks awesome I c some good dirt for a pond
Great job and looking great
Thanks
Jerry is a beast! Every crew needs at least one Jerry on it.
Yup
Jerry's a hard worker. Doesn't seem to ever stop.
Yes he is and no he don’t
I was fortunate enough to run the first 750 jd that came to the west coast. The second one was loaded onto a boat and sent to Japan to be copied and produced by komtsu (sp) and sent back by them. It was way ahead of anything out there then, peddle steering counter rotating tracks plus hydro static transmission. Great feature could run engine at full throttle and just creep along allowed the operator full control and response on hydraulics.
Dirt Perfects new fragrance. Mud from cow pond by Dirt Perfect. Lol God bless
Chicken poop farm fertilizer fragrance is a best seller. Lol
Great video Mike as always. I enjoy your video. Is it wouldn't for Jerry you be doing all the work by yourself most of the time there is a good man
Thanks Robert
Old dozer is kicking butt!
Been reading all comments , Jerry , Jerry , Jerry , come on guys where's your hearts at give ol D. P. a little loving too. He's learning , he needs a little encouragement too. , ,!
lol thanks Gary
Worked with a old boy like Jerry, he wouldn't run a machine with a cab and A.C. I ask to trade with him and he told me to quit asking. He taught me a lot and didn't care to share his knowledge. Will always will remember him and think of him when I see a open station machine.
Jerry's one of those badass Vietnam veterans probably! Awesome videos!!! From an Iraq Veteran.
Thanks for your service
Jerry is awesome
Yes he is
I’m an excavator man but I sure do like them big dozers. Need to see more of that 850 in action.
Yup have more coming
I have a 750e jd love it...
I strated a channel and have a few short videos going to make more and longer ones later on..if youd like to subscribe.
16:15 better get the band together. I've got a feeling you're going to need the line bore machine. Great video as always.
Very good job guy's and mike clean your exc.
Thanks
Awesome
Thanks
On seeing the thumbnail, I thought Kleeman was going to be in it.😉
I thought I was watching a David Haley video with the quote " he sure loves running dozer", it's the standard quote when talking about his father. Jerry would be about the same age, that job was handy for Jerry to get too no wonder he wasn't worried about putting in extra time.
Yup love David’s dad
Looking great, you guys do work some long days.
Thanks
Im sure if you got a hold of LetsDig18 he would come over and clean the cab of the Volvo 140. It's probably would kill him to see the mud on the floor and dirty windows. Great video! Can't wait to see the finished product.
No wonder Jerry likes to run that dozer, he's a master.
Yes is is
Good morning everyone
Good morning
good video
Thanks
Had a groundhawg day there for a bit
Mud mud glorious mud 👍
Jerry loves what he’s doing. What’s the name of the sunglasses you’re wearing? Thanks for the video ❤
Jerry the "Dozer Jockey" ;-)
It’s 5 o clock and Jerry is gonna run another 5 or 6 hours, when does he sleep! 😂
Lol good 5
Jerry loves that 850 and pushing dirt. You just need to get some portable construction lights for him.
Have them
did you eye ball level on that? or use lazer? I think the planning is interesting.. Ive watched one 7 1/2 acre lake made, was fun to watch.
Nice property, that house on the pond renovation looks sweet!
Thanks
You struck gold with Jerry oh hell your whole crew has great work ethic. Dont find one let alone a group of employees that dont beat the crap out of the equipment. No the man behind the scenes doesn't get a new hat now due to head swelling per hr.
Yes I did
Nice 👍. Times change. We used dynamite to take stumps out. I don't know. Can you even buy dynamite? Eaglegards...
Man sounds like fun
Hey another pond . 😆
Not sure if they made it in the US but every time you mention Jerry and then more so when you said he was first on site and already going i keep thinking of the old band " Jerry and the pace makers " lolol.
At least he is a pace maker and not Jerry and his pacemaker because obviously there is quite a difference lol.
Oke brother good work excavator Volvo work strong 💪 same fo me work excavator Hitachi ok l'm going to you work projects 😁💪🤝
The construction industry needs more folks like Jerry! Anymore it seems nobody wants to work more than 8 hours a day & skate home! I remember when we worked 12, hour days routinely.
I agree
My family is much more important than my work. I work to take care of my family. 12 hour days don’t leave much time for the wife and kids -if you are single then it’s a different story
Lol ok
at 10:21 and 11:21, you say the same thing.. I thought i clicked back, but nope. LOL
Ok
@@DirtPerfect I subscribe to Dirt Perfect to get educated. Sometimes the teacher needs to repeat something so the students learn the lesson.
Jerry's not daft. He knows good dirt when he sees it and plans on using the stuff on his land with no haulage fees lol. Nice looking house also Mike
By
Nice video as always. Looks like you need a bigger thumb like @letsdig18 to handle those big stumps!
Thanks and no pass on bigger thumb
Leaving the stumps is so rachet..... nice job
I like the Volvo 140, bucket sounded tight, but the thumb seemed to rattle, might need some Advil. I'm new to your channel and enjoying it a lot.
Welcome to the channel
I hope you paid Jerry travel time to get to this job!!! 😉
Definitely slightly enlarged now Mike 👍
lol yup new shoes
@@DirtPerfect
🤣
Gosh if only the youth of today had even HALF of Jerrys work ethic!
I agree
Thanks. Good video. You can tell, because I'm sitting here watching it, instead of clearing a fence line, like I should be.
Lol thanks for watching buddy
That dozer pushes well
Yes it does
Looks like it's going to be a pretty deep pond ? When's the next video on this coming ? Thanks, thumbs up !!
Thanks and Saturday
I'd like to have seen the keyway, what kind of dimensions was that after you'd graded off the topsoil? Great video, thanks!
Check out newer videos thanks
Jerry looks like he is really having fun. That is a good dozer. How is the 120 coming along?
Yes Jerry loves getting out of the house and getting there
Does machine get used? Check dirt on floor in cab! 1 = some, 2 = a lot, 3 = can't enter cab without using a shovel.
Jerry is planning on having a fishing hole close to home. He does a good job on the dozer.
i guess Im asking the wrong place but does anybody know of a tool to get back into an instagram account??
I was dumb lost the account password. I love any tips you can give me
@Cairo Coleman Instablaster ;)
@Malcolm Raphael Thanks for your reply. I got to the site on google and I'm in the hacking process atm.
Takes a while so I will get back to you later with my results.
@Malcolm Raphael it did the trick and I now got access to my account again. I am so happy!
Thank you so much, you saved my ass!
@Cairo Coleman No problem =)
Know it expensive to buy equipment. But on a lot of projects I have seen you and the other crews have done. In the larger size. Seems you would get a scraper! Hey if Jeff - JayPayDirt can, you guys can!
Not for me Kyle
@@DirtPerfect yeah.. I know not cost effective, and extra head ache, to maintain. And jobs just not big enough. But might be cool to see ya try they do have smaller pull behinds, use dozer or tractor to pull!. Hey please do not take offence to any of my replies.
Lol no offense Kyle I have been around them a lot just do not do enough big job it justify having one
11:43 dejavu. Lol God bless
Was going to comment "Deja Vu all over again", but you beat me to it.
Gonna be a nice Pond project!I was trying to watch the 850's c frame...it appears your rebuild was holding strong, any issues from Jerry?
Yes holding up good so far
What’s that weird noise that happens when you stick all the way out and boom down? Great vid!
Soft stop
Did you ever use a vibrator plate for packing dirt down? The company that put our 12" water main in used one , it worked pretty slick.
Yup stay tuned to the next project
Is there a distance when it becomes inefficient to push dirt that far? Thanks nice video.
Yes but not close to it
i think between the 10:00-13:00 marks you have some video editing mishaps Mr. mike lol
Is that Jerrys dozer or does he just love it enough to not let anyone else run it?😂
It’s mine but his baby 🤷♂️😂
I woulda swore and told the next guy thats Jerrys Dozer 😂😂😂
Do you have a rake for the 850? See it has rake ears. That would be a nice raking dozer.
No I do not
Make the pond deep looks 3 feet deep haha
👍
I would like to see the Cat 9UD6 if you still have it
Yup hope to get to it one day
@@DirtPerfect When it is time you can get a lot of help from the Antique Caterpillar Machinery Owner Club's bulletin board. A lot of very knowledgeable people on that site. I would like to see pictures or maybe a video about it Thanks
I thought you were Dirt Perfect, not Horizon Perfect, or Perfect Air. Thank you for aiming the camera down. You and Charles both been playing in the mud. Charles has just been playing in the 6ft deep type.
👍
Looks like the same pond you first took Volvo to to try and get pipe flowing ??
Nope different one
Worked with my dad clearing out dams for ten weeks straight, 21 dams we cleared out every single one smelt delicious (not) 😀
The smell actually shuts down my breathing. Asthma gets triggered from it. :(
Even muddy creek banks do my breathing in.
areobic top soil
Basically bacteria from wind blown soil or from vegetation that had rotten down got in the water that had bacteria life in it, sunk to the bottom and said bacteria / soil can no longer get oxygen and gives you that lovely smell lol
You planning to give us before and after drone footage?
Yup
Is there a spring in that pond or just rain run off to fill it?
Run off
Mr. DP, you are showing some silver. Why do men look distinguished, but women look old when they gray? That pond is gonna be beautiful! Thats some nice clay!!
Hey Mike. What would it take to get you to come out to PA and do some work. The local contractors here were I live want our first born and money on top. Pluse there not that good. I need a perfect job done !!¡!!! Thought I would ask !!! Lol.
Man I would love to but we are just so busy right now 😬
You need to buy some dirt from Gerry 😏😏
pond renovation
DP, you would be shocked if you were to do any excavating here. Good rich topsoil for 6 feet on average.
Then you get the hard pan. The compacted undisturbed ground that is a shale sand.
Clay is a very rare substance here, drainage is usually fantastic though.
Wow maybe 6 inches here
Gaterade why not water because it's got no Sugar plus it is fresh from a tap besides it's a nice treat to have gaterade sometimes
Should get Jerry a bigger dozer he would have it done already .
Don’t quite work that way buddy
Does Jerry use any hearing protection?
I SAID DOES JERRY USE ANY HEARING PROTECTION?
Yes
He runs with ear plugs. I’ve never seen him without any.
@@CaptainKleeman
SAY AGAIN!
Sorry, had to do that.
Bring white vinegar and paper towels with you, if you get stung the vinegar soaked compress after 10 minutes will neutalize the sting venum, Honest !
👍
I'd have to ground that Oddball tooth off if I was working around utilities
Ok
It might by your 850 but will it work that nice with some one exept Jerry
Good ?
@@DirtPerfect you are both verry good operators. I do not have your skills. Not in English or in driving.👍
