You were gentle with a lady that is hurting. What a gem of a car, and thank you for sharing.
If a car elicits an emotional response it’s more than transportation, it’s a personal connection to something meaningful.
Thanks for taking us with you.
WOW, great find!!! 😮 I love Corvettes too! I’m the proud owner of a 1967 L79 Coupe, all original. Have fun fixing her up.
Bless her heart. She’s sweet…
Of all barnfinds the C-3 corvette has become the most sought out restoration projects
I just bought a 69. And there is another in the same building. I believe is either a 70 or a 71 LS 6. I'm trying to make a deal on.
The loss of a spouse is one of the most difficult events to get to terms with. The memories linger forever...
I feel so much for Barbara pain. Such a great, sweet lady. I love the blue color. God bless Barbara and Bob
I feel for her I hope when I'm gone my daughter will do the same thing Corvettes are made to be driven and enjoyed
i'm pretty dang sure i've never smiled and cried at the video same as much as i did on this one. and being this is all in my glorious home state of teXas is just sweet icing on the cake. i'm 62 and a C3 Vette is STILL my 'dream car'. and to you Barbara, you ma'am are a sweet, sweet soul, and letting that machine get back on the road again is absolutely the best decision you could have made. god bless yall and god bless teXas.
Thank you so much for the kind words!!! We are moving right along with the build. Thanks for sharing the experience with us!!
Great video man! You could really tell how much she loves he husband still. That is one sharp Corvette.
Thank you for the kind words! It was pretty hard while filming her talking about her husband, such a sad situation for such a sweet lady.
Surprised tires were not flat. Great project, always loved that color
🤔
Absolutely love this episode!!
Wow what an amazing Barn find!
This poor lady, I feel for her. But I must say, I would love to have a ‘68 corvette,it’s a dream car, especially a convertible.
i always have love corvettes too
I’ve learned so much from these videos.
What a sweet lady.🙏
That’s tight 🤙🏻
Very cool 🤙 I grew up in a 68 vette white/red with 280z headlights. I learned to steer in that car lots of lap driving lol
One of the best videos on UA-cam. Great seller, great buyer. Great car!!
Thank you so much for the kind words!!
Great vid! Tuggin at my heart strings. So awesome! Barbara so cute. Good woman, Glad she realized it needed a home because it’s slowly going back to Mother Nature via rat poop. Great find!
❤
I feel her pain. I've lost many loved ones and I sincerely hope that she gets to see this car restored to driving condition and know that it would make her late husband happy.
You can tell the Car had a lot of sentimental meaning. Glad the Car will be restored back to it's former glory. I myself have a '1973' in similar condition. Hoping someday, it may also hit the Road again. 😁
Yea, you better make it drive. These cars are georgeous and we need more of them out there. I'm saving up for one right now. My dream Vette is also a '73, specificly in manual. But in the end, it's gonna be the one that I buy and put work in. I know I'll love it even if it's not my top pick at the moment. Well as long as it's a '77 and below, somehow I'm not a fan of the bubble window :D
Cheers from Czechia :)
This is soo coool!!
I can’t wait to see it finished!!! It’s going to be such a special day when you bring it by. I know she had so many memories with it and it was hard to watch it go, but to see your excitement and passion was so heart warming !!
Great video, excited to stay tuned for more episodes!!
Neat lady, neat car.
Mine is a '71, almost the same as it was sitting since '98. I am still working with it as she needs a ground up restoration. Will follow up on your progress, keep the videos flowing.
Right on! Would love to see it when you finish her up! Thanks for following!
Best episode ever I want to see more of him and his dad they are going to be stars keep them two coming barn finds
I've got a 68 convertible I got in 75, with a hard top only. Had it in the Philippines for 3 1/2 years which ruined the paint. Mine sat from the early 90's when my wife passed away till 2018 when I finally decided I'm not getting any younger so I had a restomod done to it. It's a screamer now too. It's too damn hot here in Texas though so it pretty much sits in the garage in the summer till it cools off.
Sounds like a cool car!!! Yes it’s hot here in Texas.. I’m definitely keeping the AC in the car.. lol
Love it
Love the Chevy rally wheels on it
YES ! Great people doing fun things. Keep the episodes coming.
I just sent you guys a message about an LS6 I know about.
It is sitting right next to the one I bought been there for the last 40 years
That lady was so sweet. She gave away that car at that price. Even if it does need a touch up, it was way worth it for 11 grand. The buyer will probably have 30 thousand dollars total into it. It's gotta be worth 80 presented right at auction
Psh…. I’m sorry but if I ever put mine up for sale I promise you I’m tracking that lady down to sell it. Heck she melted my heart and burnt a hole in him and his dads pocket’s lol. Great video keep them coming 🫶🏻🫵🏻
11k was like stealing it from her… But enjoyed watching the episode.
Bob is looking down saying… he should have paid you 16-18k it was all original unmolested!! Barbara is a sweet lady you could tell what she missed her husband. You should’ve paid her more.
If it has a smog pump I don't believe it is a 68. The EPA didn't start requirements of emissions control until 70 or 71.
@@bailey78 All 68 Corvettes were equipped with A.I.R. systems. (Smog pump deal)
1968 pumps had part number 7801135. The '68 is different from '69s (except some early '69 units) in that they had the visable pressure relief valves on the top of the case.
@@Tunnelramlife
Hey thanks for the information.
The only cars I had seen with smog pumps were 70 models and up.
I just bought a 69 Corvette barn find. Paid the guy $2500.00 for it. It's a 350/350 with a m21 transmission.
It had been sitting for the last forty years.
Wow that sounds like a great find..

It truly is. It's a bit rough but the body is straight and the engine is complete. Waiting to get it in my name to invest any real time and money in it. I have a couple of videos on my page of you're interested in seeing it.
Just subbed straight from Facebook
so nice
amazeing car for sure
ty for trusting youtube fam for this god bless you
You didn't leave the personalized plate with her? You should take them back when she takes a ride, Just for wall hangers.
❤️❤️❤️
A real mouse motor!!!!!
Hey!!! Im Karen’s next door neighbor!! She told me that you guys have heard a lot about us!!
In AZ?
Am I the only one with a barn cat?
I'll bet if she stuck to $12.5 she would have got it. She could have vacuumed the car really hard and got $15.5 for it.
What engine is in it.
327!
The lowlife just had to get the widow in her distress for a grand, and he even tried to get her for more than that! It's not up to her for you to "break even" after the car is restored and sold..
You gave me a good laugh!! Thank you for watching 😂
I'll give you $15,000 for it immediatly if you have the title in hand.
We are doing a complete body off frame restoration the engine had a bad timing chain it took a good rebuild I’ve already run the engine on the stand!! Thank you for supporting
Sadly soon all combustion cars and trucks including classics will be banned from public streets in entire EU and Scandinavia :-(
In Germany the Green Peoples Party gave order to shorten fuel supply from 2025
on by reducing all conventional fuel stations to only one state operated central gas station per city or county. Car washs will be forbidden too because they are climate killers, now they want to slow down all the gas station pumps from 20 litre per minute to 2 litre per minute...From 2027 on in the EU certain car spare parts will be banned too....as exhaust systems, turbo chargers and even some engine and gearbox oils...California and New York will do the same from 2027 on.... So no investments should be done in oil burning cars any longer....They even created a new kind of crime here, called emissions and smoke crime.!!! (BABVVEN & TEBBVEN & BEFVO laws)!!
Where’s your shop located?
Bug Tussle Texas!!
@@darroncheney637 thanks for responding back!! That means a lot to me.
First Comment 🤪
Absolute legend! hahaha
Can’t wait to see it shined up!! I need to come by a visit for awhile.
hope u stopped at a car wash to vacum those dead mice outta of inside and the nest under the hood ect before taking them home
68 international blue (978) with dark blue interior (411) with hard top and 327 cu in 350 horse 4 speed. There were never many made, most of them if blue were light blue and lighter blue or black interior. Stealing it at 12,500. Robery at $10 k. Should be a shamed of yourself.
That's Le Man's blue. International was darker
68 corvette with 350 produced 9440 units. Not rare.
Also, this is how direct sales work. What you see is all the auction, ebay, 3rd party sellers with Markup. I just bought a 1960 corvette body, all the chrome, SS, no engine/transmission/suspension/frame for $8000 direct from a widow. It will cost me $70K for a resto-mod on a corvette correction frame, LS3, 4R65 transmission, all new suspension and the car will be worth $150K. I'm also finishing a 68 original 427 Tripower coupe and it will cost me $30K for that. Its a 3 year project.
@@jonathanp6671Ok you I’ll agree after seeing this again on a bigger screen. It’s hard to discern color on phone screen. But international blue was not very plentiful. Light blue much more common. For some reason (maybe beat to shit) many ‘68 do not survive today as years 69,70,71,72 did.
pr໐๓໐Ş๓ 😌
Its a nice car... once you put at least 50k in it. This is a piece of junk.-Paint, chrome, interior completely gutted, motor rebuilt, new gas tank, brake lines, gas lines, shocks, all weather stripping, and thats just the things off the top of my head.
I’ve got most everything done and parts refinished motor cost was $5500 I’ve got around 35k in it now..
Why didn't you just go there buy it and leave?
Mostly because we are passionate filmmakers who are interested in the stories behind the owners and cars. We like to share their stories with everyone on the internet.
What a jerk move, not giving her the 12.5K that she was asking for the car. This channel is a copycat knockoff of Dennis Collins and Richard Rawlins.
Sorry you think that! Money will always be controversial, while most channels won’t share what they pay or even show it.
As far as a knock off, not even in the slightest. Those two channels are both filmed in a very vlog-type style. We are very story-driven and dive into the history & background on the car & owner.
You may be right she was a sweetheart… the difference between our show and both Richard Rawlins Dennis Collins is that Tracy and I build our on cars … everything about them where as Richard and Dennis don’t.. I sure hope you follow us along with the build of the 1968 vette and others as well.
Who pays 11G's for a rat nest on rusty wheels?
Someone who wants to turn it into a 50K original vette.
@@BarnFindsOfAmerica Exactly!!!
come on now... That car had no sentimental value - Barbara left it rotting away until she needed $$$ .
Bro you aren’t a real classic muscle fan if you don’t want the backstory with the car and I’m sure that lady was sincere I mean who wouldn’t be if it was their spouse who had passed
I cannot believe this she asked you for 12,000 and not a few minutes ago you're worried about all the new stuff that you're getting with the car and I don't think it's going to cost you another $10,000 to put it back on the road you are so cheap people probably hear you walk down the street
