Honestly on the compound setup it didn’t make a huge difference enough to measure. The downpipe is essentially still the same for 4 ft of the exhaust. But that upgrade would be more likely to help a single charger setup. The biggest change in EGTs was going from a single charger to compounds....WAY lower with compounds
You know, me personally I've never been a fan of Duramax engines, or compound/twin/quad turbos and even VGT's because I think those turbos make the engine sound like a jet engine. Also i'm not a huge fan of exhaust tips, I think that the standard 5" exhaust end looks just fine. Personally my favorite engine's are the 5.9 cummins, specifically the 04.5-07 engines. I'm not much of a huge fan of modifying diesel engines to get more power for a daily driver, unless it's turning up an older 12v cummins to get 325 hp out of. But those are just my opinions, plus I think it's really easy to work on a Cummins engine, whether it's a 5.9, or ISL9 CNG, or an ISX 15.
I'd leave the side exit pipe with at most a 6 inch tip. I am not a fan of the huge tips. I find them as tacky as the fake testicles hanging from the hitch.
Hey man! Just wanna say that i've recently found your channel and i love your videos! Very informative and relaxing to watch, especially as a fellow duramax enthusiast! I just sold my LMM duramax and have been looking at getting a cat eye Duramax and i've really been enjoying all of your videos! Thank you! I'm @Dirtymax302 on Instagram by the way
So have you noticed a difference in performance at all? From the video clips it looks like your blowing less black smoke and if that's the case your burning the fuel better and its breathing better.
Personally I much prefer have the regular exhaust pipe out the side like that without a bigger or different tip. Also, I’m not the biggest fan of axel dumps.
5in sounds awesome. I have 5in dumped after the axle. Came with the truck and isn't mounted to the truck the best. Nice rattle with all the turbo noises lol
I have a five inch MBRP with and 8inch axle dump and it sounds amazing!!👍Highly recommend it
I hear the whistle! 🌪
Saw your car today. It’s 💯
Thanks man!!
is your bottom end build or are you still running stock
All stock bottom end
I know your set up is far from stock but what is difference in egts from 4 to 5?

Thanks for the support man! The Cateye is the ultimate Duramax fun machine, definitely recommend on starting one for a project🤘🏻

Oh it’s burning MUCH better!! It’s actually a very clean running machine, even when towing.
Put a mailbox on it for a exhaust tip!!
Sounds great! Almost sounds as nice as a 6.0 powerstroke

makes it sound like a power stroke all whistle until you get into the higher rpms
What’s up buddy!
Sounds awesome! 👌 How much boost are you getting? 🐌🐌💨
Depends on what setting, in 3 I’m at like 35psi-ish
10 tip is super loud
axle dump exhaust !
Axle dump!!!!!
I like the 5 in better
Me too😁🤘🏻
Didn’t know if you know this most stainless Exhaust is made out of 409 stainless which is shitty stainless it rests
I know that it’s not the best kind of stainless....but it’s not the cheap quick rusting steel
It’s called a “bulkhead” not firewall 👀 besides that love the channel 🤘
