I’m a little sad because I still remember when Roosterteeth was like 5 dudes in a crappy studio, back when they were known for their machinima, I remember strangerhood and that one FEAR Machinima they did back when it was super small scale. I think they peaked as company around when RWBY first launched tbh; RVB was still going strong and had recently introduced Monty’s animations into the mix, their let’s play content was getting bigger and better by the day, RWBY was proving that they could also create an original property. It’s a complicated feeling. Haven’t watched them in years, not since the massive change ups and the older members either retiring, getting fired or being apart of controversies but they were a big part of my entertainment since I was in high school. For any companies potentially picking the bones, RWBY (and maybe death battle) is the only real potential IP that could still turn a profit if handled well.
Honestly, it's best to take the memories and move on. I will always look back fondly on RvB and remember it for the fun it provided, and for inspiring me to want to make my own machinima series. But I won't let that cloud my own judgement and can still sit back comfy knowing that any value lost with that company was from a decade ago.

I'm glad. the best part of Red Vs Blue was already done, I considered it concluded with the death of director church. RWBY was a walking corpse, it fell off after Monty's death and I gave it enough chances and I washed my had from it long ago. none of the other show was interesting to me. so this downfall was a long needed burial.
Genlock season one was pretty good, never found out if they did more of it. I know wb got hold of rwby and helped with volume nine which fealt like a nolstagia trip especially at the end

Well, I will no longer be shocked if RWBY came back for another season considering that the company is DEAD!! From backstabbing voice actors to production hell to abuse allegations to forcing ideologies within the story, I'm just glad it's finally over with. It's disheartening to find out about these things within the shows I liked and made it hard for me to continue watching because of said things. Vic Mignogna was the finally straw for me as he was thrown under the bus and ran over without a second thought. No questioning or evidence or anything of the sort, just a word of mouth got him fired. Both Funicrackheads (Funimation) and Cockbite (Rooster Teeth) got what they deserved for the torture they've inflicted. Especially the insane crunch hours and mismanagement within the company. Yang is also into men -- she never had a love interest, but there's a scene in season 1 episode 3 when Ruby says "I don't think dad would approve of all the boys, though" and Yang answers: "I know I do, rawr".

It's sad to see it end this way, but they also did it to themselves. I guess my only hope would be to see RWBY fall into the hands of competent writers, and they can salvage it and give it life again. That said, if it needs to be rebooted, I just hope they don't throw everything out cause it did have some good ideas that just weren't executed well. Ironwood becoming a villain, for example, does work when you consider his character and everything he's going through. The problem is they rushed his progression into madness and gave him some very stupid reasons to turn on everyone, and that was after taking out Watts, which was a huge win for them. What kind of timing was that? Yes, Cinder did her thing to mess with him, but they still had an advantage at that moment and should have used Cinder's message as a way to prepare for further tricks. But what happened instead? We made Ironwood go crazy when he really didn't have a full reason to do so yet. I kinda went on a rant there, but basically, I just hope the shows we love don't end up in the gutter now that all this is said and done. But if it does, it really was one hell of a ride, wasn't it?
If vol. 3 did not happen, we would have at least had given Monty proper closure. At this point a reboot done correctly will be the only thing to save Rwby and His Legacy.
To be fair to Kaede (Lucy's real name), humans did her so dirty in the beginning of the series. Can you blame her for being a hateful extremist towards humanity? And besides, in the end of the manga, she eventually lets go of her hate towards humanity, or at the very least spares humanity to save those she cares about, and does the right thing by sparing them from wiping them off the face of the Earth. She learns the errors of her ways and makes an effort to do better. That's at least a step in the right direction these clowns that were in charge of rooster teeth were never gonna take.

I remember watching rvb and rage quit as a kid I watched the rise and fall of this company. I got excited for every new rvb season and episodes. When RWBY was announced I thought highly of it. I really never saw the negativities that came out since I was really never on social media. Then when Monty passed I started paying attention and completely stopped supporting rooster teeth when I went looking. It’s sad to see where the road lead to, so many choices that could have changed the outcome for better or worse.
Monty’s work should’ve stayed where it was when he was still working on it. No matter what people say I don’t think anyone truly understood where he wanted to go with it, so anything after his passing was just puppeteering a corpse. Nah, it started to fall apart when Jack Patillo decided to inject leftist political rants into every AH video, and when Geoff told people who didn't like it they didn't have to watch, so we left. And don't forget how they fired Joel Heyman, one of the original founders, because his political views leaned right. And the absolute garbage way they fired him, having him come in to record his lines for Caboose, and then as soon as he was done fire him and tell him to never return. Warner tried to profit after the purchase. They were trying to raise people's awareness over RWBY that they tried EVERYTHING. Mobile games, PC, even an anime. The fact that it failed gives Zaslav an out for being one to blame because he spent company money to try and showcase it to people who may not even know of RWBY. The gamble failed, that's all there is to it.

Yeah. They said they were in talks with people (possibly other companies) to try and get the show up and running again. They didn’t give any specific details, but they seemed pretty confident that the show would continue, so I think it’s only a matter of time before they return.

I think the only thing i've ever seen that was made by Roster Teeth was a collectible guide for Alan Wake that I used 12 years or so ago and then used again when the remaster came out, because they had it neatly packed into different episodes and the other ones were pretty much trash. Well, I will no longer be shocked if RWBY came back for another season considering that the company is DEAD!! From backstabbing voice actors to production hell to abuse allegations to forcing ideologies within the story, I'm just glad it's finally over with. It's disheartening to find out about these things within the shows I liked and made it hard for me to continue watching because of said things. Vic Mignogna was the finally straw for me as he was thrown under the bus and ran over without a second thought. No questioning or evidence or anything of the sort, just a word of mouth got him fired. Both Funicrackheads (Funimation) and Cockbite (Rooster Teeth) got what they deserved for the torture they've inflicted. Especially the insane crunch hours and mismanagement within the company. And DON'T get me started with the LGBTQHIPPITYHOOPLAH! That in of itself is just a severe bacteria that literally ruins everything!

This. Another absolute disgrace of a studio that went woke and got absolutely what they deserved -- went broke.
Honestly I think fans like you are giving monty too much credit, people were starting to get tired of monty's shit even before he died. While his fight scenes were the draw of the show they felt pretty weightless.

She was in relationship with Adam and up until season 5 (when RT started going woke and changing everything for the worst) she was obviously groomed to be with Sun. Yang is also into men -- she never had a love interest, but there's a scene in season 1 episode 3 when Ruby says "I don't think dad would approve of all the boys, though" and Yang answers: "I know I do, rawr".

It's sad to see it end this way, but they also did it to themselves. I guess my only hope would be to see RWBY fall into the hands of competent writers, and they can salvage it and give it life again. That said, if it needs to be rebooted, I just hope they don't throw everything out cause it did have some good ideas that just weren't executed well. Ironwood becoming a villain, for example, does work when you consider his character and everything he's going through. The problem is they rushed his progression into madness and gave him some very stupid reasons to turn on everyone, and that was after taking out Watts, which was a huge win for them. What kind of timing was that? Yes, Cinder did her thing to mess with him, but they still had an advantage at that moment and should have used Cinder's message as a way to prepare for further tricks. But what happened instead? We made Ironwood go crazy when he really didn't have a full reason to do so yet.
I kinda went on a rant there, but basically, I just hope the shows we love don't end up in the gutter now that all this is said and done. But if it does, it really was one hell of a ride, wasn't it?

To be fair to Kaede (Lucy's real name), humans did her so dirty in the beginning of the series. Can you blame her for being a hateful extremist towards humanity? And besides, in the end of the manga, she eventually lets go of her hate towards humanity, or at the very least spares humanity to save those she cares about, and does the right thing by sparing them from wiping them off the face of the Earth.
She learns the errors of her ways and makes an effort to do better. That's at least a step in the right direction these clowns that were in charge of rooster teeth were never gonna take.

I remember watching rvb and rage quit as a kid I watched the rise and fall of this company. I got excited for every new rvb season and episodes. When RWBY was announced I thought highly of it. I really never saw the negativities that came out since I was really never on social media. Then when Monty passed I started paying attention and completely stopped supporting rooster teeth when I went looking. It’s sad to see where the road lead to, so many choices that could have changed the outcome for better or worse.

Monty’s work should’ve stayed where it was when he was still working on it. No matter what people say I don’t think anyone truly understood where he wanted to go with it, so anything after his passing was just puppeteering a corpse. And don't forget how they fired Joel Heyman, one of the original founders, because his political views leaned right. And the absolute garbage way they fired him, having him come in to record his lines for Caboose, and then as soon as he was done fire him and tell him to never return. How they did Vic was just one of many crappy things they did, and I don't shed a single tear for them at this point.

Warner tried to profit after the purchase. They were trying to raise people's awareness over RWBY that they tried EVERYTHING. Mobile games, PC, even an anime. The fact that it failed gives Zaslav an out for being one to blame because he spent company money to try and showcase it to people who may not even know of RWBY. The gamble failed, that's all there is to it.

May Monty finally rest in peace. I still remember in 2013 when I first watched this show with my older sister. I guess I could say I am remembering a time when the show actually meant something more than what toxic fans brought into existance. I loved this show, but I hope to god that the evil people of this earth do not desecrate the masterpiece someone created to fuel their own greed.

I think the only thing i've ever seen that was made by Roster Teeth was a collectible guide for Alan Wake that I used 12 years or so ago and then used again when the remaster came out, because they had it neatly packed into different episodes and the other ones were pretty much trash.
