You didn't hit Jefferson Ave or any of the projects you drove around the downtown and main highway. And that was 10 out of 16 mins talking about does crime data matter or not...
Yep we didn’t film several of the spots we visited. (I didn’t intend on doing a long form video when we visited.) But I spent a lot of time on the crime data because it’s an interesting and important question of how much weight it deserves.
A high crime rate can mean a high police response rate. But there are cities with higher murder rates that 33/100,000, like St. Louis with a homicide rate of 64.5/100,000. St. Louis also has 12X as many people. Not sure how Bessemer could be considered "The most dangerous". St Louis has a violent crime rate of over 900/100,000. 30X higher per capita.
Should've just waited til sun down to see the action. 😂
I'm more of a daylight urban explorer haha

FBI "Index crimes" (8 specific types of crime) in St. Louis total nearly 10,000/100,000.
No one cares
Bessemer has a great municipal golf course, Frank House, full of friendly locals.
Still sucks though
@@dieselboy610 I disagree, except when it gets crowded. 5+ hour rounds are no fun anywhere.
