Im glad your doing this because i just got my vmc 4/0 ewg Tokyo rigs 2 days ago. Thanks mike we appreciate your tips, your the man brother.
That’s awesome Travis!! Goodluck!!
Thank you for the detailed explanation…i never lose interest and I always learn something.
Mike, great tip on using egg sinkers in this application! I can't believe what a difference it makes. Sometimes I prefer using lead because it's softer than tungsten and you get break it free from getting wedged in rocks.
I'm enjoying your videos IKE!!!
Great series. Thanks for sharing. Great video with you and Jimmy Houston
Thank you!! Awesome time with Jimmy!
Great content some of the best most informative on the internet and I follow a lot of folks. I look forward to the fourth in the series
Thank you Bobby! Truly appreciate that!
Keep up the good work
Mike, I don't know if it was hindering or helping but I altered my homemade Tokyo rigs. Originally I had made them with beads for noise but after watching your videos, I removed the beads and went with just the weight.
Awesome! Hope it helps out!
Great video! Can’t wait to try this one.
Awesome! Thank you!! Goodluck!
Love the videos,good job
Glad you like them! Thanks Johnny!
Hi Mike great in-depth series on the Tokyo Rig. What about the Gika/Jika Rig? Seems like a more finesse version of the Tokyo Rig. From what I have read the Jika Rig came out first.
I was going to try with a Lost Child Rig but my grab a couple of these to mix it up.
Heck yeah!! Goodluck!!
"Tex-pose" means to bury the tip of the hook in the bait a little. Expose means to leave it, well...exposed.
Thx Mike
Anytime!! Hope you enjoyed!
Love this series. Is it possible for VMC to make a Tokyo Rig with rattles built on? Not sure how it would be done, but I often find myself wishing I could add a little more noise.
Buy some small glass rattles and insert them into your plastics.
@@FishingThePNW I like using Elaztech on Tokyo rigs. Glass rattles affect the buoyancy.
Mash that like button baby! Mash it
M-A-S-H!!! Yes!!!
Hi ike, I liked that technique. Tokyo Rigg, for Swimbaits soft.. I have to come here in Madrid, Spain... I have the combo( Abu Garcia Ike series Casting. Cańa Ml 7” and Reel revo ike 8.0.1.. you think you could serve? Thank you and a greeting .. 🤙🏻💪🏻🎣
How about rigging this with a Berkeley general max scent?
Question: Can you use this with live bait? Like minnows? Have a lot of stripers in my lake which is very clear and deep. Like 55 ft at my dock.
Would your delay rod from Abu Garcia be better for this vs a standard graphite rod?
The only thing I see wrong with these is if I'm deep water fishing I'm expecting to catch big fish, the swivels on these no matter what size the hook have tiny swivels on them,I personally don't trust that it can handle any kind of heavy weight. If I'm fishing a big hook I need a bigger swivel.
My dawg mike running outta ideas
