The conflicts of the world arent fueled by hatred and anger, like they want you to think they're fueled by greed. Politicians profit off of war.

Hello Pat. I can’t call you Granny. I’m 83, you 87. You are like a beloved sister. I’m taking your hint about protecting the frig., as mine is right next to stove. You just described my favorite kitchen. The Hoosier cabinet must be beautiful. It would be great if your daughter would take a picture of it and show on one of your videos.❤ I use stale hot dogs buns mixed in with the breads and I toast them. Makes them not gummy. I cook my greens in chicken broth. What a wonderful day spent with you. God bless and know that you are loved.

Brian, I’m not the expert. It’s a new experience each time I walk in the kitchen. Make a list of the main dishes you like. Practice them until they agree with your taste buds. Pick up a few major spices - onion powder, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, basil, and of course, salt and pepper. Spices are getting very expensive. Add one at a time. Cinnanon, for instance. Check recipes on the internet. Start with the simple ones. Good luck.

CHICKEN ,N DUMPLINGS: Let me add this: I took the remainder of the canned biscuits and cut each one into six pieces ..I DID NOT roll them out flat. Instead, I dropped the pieces into the boiling broth and let them simmer about 15 minutes. They were light and fluffy. Try this method for an easy dumpling recipe.

She is such a doll. And I can't get over all the Jadeite in that kitchen! That's when you know there's some good cooking to be had. Salt and pepper tastes just a little bit better, knowing they were dispensed out of a Jadeite shaker over any other kind!
I loved it when she was talking about the Kalamazoo stove, and said, "It doesn't mean I'd be using it, but I'd like to have it just to look at." That gave me quite the chuckle.
I love dumplings... so much, in fact, that I almost ate my laptop while watching! I think I'm going to wind up making some mushroom risotto for my family gathering. Everybody else brings all the "classics," so I'll probably bring something that only I'll enjoy.

Thank You Granny Pat 😊! I haven’t made chicken and dumplings for YEARS since my children are grown and gone. I always liked it more than they did, it reminded me of when my Mom made it. So now I feel inspired and I think I’ll make it again during December. TURKEY first! I miss my Mom’s cooking too ….

Whenever I watch videos of Southern ladies, I'm reminded of women from the north of England. There's a familiarity, despite how different our culture's seem.

I love you granny pat. Youmake such wonderful videos. I feel like lm right there in the kitchen with you coooking. Your jadeite is so beautiful. All your cooking utensils are the best quality. Love your big red iron pot. Im really surprised at 87 that you are still using such a heavy pot. Im 68 and l cant use heavy pots like that anymore cause mt left shoulder is chronically dislocated. It got messed up in a rollover wreck in 2017. Had surgery but still is dislocated.
A yway jyat wanted to let you know lm still new but love everything ive seen you share, especially your stories! Stay sweet. God bless you sweetheart.
      you are good.
