For some reason, I visualize that first rehearsal with Axl, Duff, and Slash staring at each other as they play, their faces going from concentration to full blown joy.
I'm happy for Slash, he seems in a good place. Gets to scratch the big live performance/money itch with Guns, and scratch his creative itch in between tours. Like everyone, just wish the two could be fused.
I’m more of a pop music lover, but Slash is someone who I really admire as an artist, whether it’s GnR or his solo endeavours, he has it all. I saw him live back in 2010 and he blew my mind and have been a huge fan since. He’s a proper top bloke.
Im watching this after its been released, The more I listen to it the more im liking it, I think when guns go off like Myles and Slash, When velvet came out, They seem more content and are just playing like they wanna play !
GNR is my favorite band and slash was my inspiration to pick up guitar I wanted to play just like him when I was 12 13 years old and he still is along with dimebag and Jimi and Stevie Ray Vaughan :)
Interviewer needs to let Slash speak more, he talks way to much. This interview sounds to rushed because the interviewer is constantly waiting for Slash to stop talking so he can start talking again. LOL... Let Slash breath, almost like he's not listening to Slash. Slash is a brilliant songwriter!!!
@@sonofaguppy6708 I thought he was okay. When Slash talked, he listened and waited for him to pause. Yes, he was obviously excited and asked a lot of questions and the pace was pretty quick. But he was very attentive at times, especially when Slash was talking about horror films. I think the rapid pace just made it seem like he wasn't listening. He rarely cut Slash off, interrupted him or talked over him like many interviewers do. I'd give him a solid B, maybe a B+. His questions were pretty decent and he allowed Slash to talk about recent events and projects, rather than bringing up the distant past every two minutes like some interviewers do. It's not like he was doing a bad impression of Chris Farely's fan boy, interviewing Paul McCartney and asking dead-end questions like, "Hey, member when you were with the Beatles? That was awesome". Ha ha! I loved that character.
@@sonofaguppy6708 Ha ha! Yeah, Farley did the same bit several times, with other guest hosts, but it was funniest when he did it with Paul, because the man is such a living legend, that it was easy to relate to Chris Farley's character. When Farley was still alive, I always thought it would be funny to call into a radio or telvision interview with Chris and say, "Member that time you interviewed Paul McCartney and you kept hitting yourself in the head saying, "stupid! stupid!"? Member that? That was awesome!"
I want a new GnR album, but I am a bit nervous. We all need to remember that a MAJOR contributor to most of the GnR classics was Izzy. If Izzy is not involved in the writing process, GnR will sound different. Izzy gave GnR the sloppy bluesy riffs when Slash was able to polish them and add finite guitar playing. Duff was punky, and of course Axl wrote most of the lyrics and most of the piano in GnR.
It's nice to see Slash not trash-talking Axl, but what did he mean by, "Duff and I have an immediate connection, but then Axl walked in and it was like wow" -- he should have explained that a bit more (or the interviewer should have asked for more). Glad GNR is back together -- best wishes this time around: need a full interview w/ all band members tho.
Just as long as everyone gets their chance at a 'Paradise City'. Which should be 'So Easy' if only they'd stop being 'Estranged' with each other. But the singer felt they were 'Out Ta Get Me' but during '14 Years' he had a major 'Attitude' change while walking along the 'Street Of Dreams'. He was saved by taking a 'Nightrain' to 'Madagascar', found himself 'Knocking On Heavens Door' which was answered by 'Mr.Brownstone'. Realised 'It's So Easy' with the other guys in the band and now they're all done with the 'Double Talkin' Jive'. So, the band agreed they wasn't 'Dust N Bones' and all choose to 'Get In The Ring' with 'My Michelle' where they were told 'Don't Cry'. Because they had 'Sympathy For The Devil'. But for right now, I need to stop typing Guns N Roses puns lest people believe I'm beating a 'Dead Horse'. 😬😂😂🤣🤣🤣
I swear slash gets even hotter as he ages ... I wish I got to meet him. I would be pretty frightened tho. One of my dreams is to meet him. He seems so sweet
Living the Dream You are my Dream💋♫♬♮♭♪♬♮♭♫ I actually Dreamed I saw you and asked for a Hug and you gave me one, while hugging my dang phone started ringing and I woke up As God as my witness
I am glad that Slash got to do his own music exploration. I don't think that another GNR would necessarily be great - most of "Use Your Illusions" was already poor of ideas, with just a handful of memorable songs. Seems he has a good chemistry with Myles Kennedy and other musicians. I am glad he can't continue to surprise the audience with good rock music.
Wow!! That interviewer needs to cool his jets. His speech pattern and mannerisms make me anxious. The Exorcist is one of my top 3 fave Horror films, and ashamed as I am to say being known by most as the Halloween Girl , I STILL can't watch The Exorcist without closing my eyes or muting the film in some parts. Lol Rock on Bitches! Slash you are an amazing human being. Talent, looks, and decency! He's a triple threat. 🤘🎶💕🎶🤘
Slash is An Absolute GENIUS. His Guitar Playing Is A MAJOR ROLE In Musical History. It Would Be Legendary IF G'N'R Made One More Album.
Mr E No point in doing it if Izzy doesn't participate
Or West Arkeen... but he's dead
Angus Young still has better solos.
Dr. Rick Titball Still would be great without him, they need steven adler more
Dr. Rick Titball People underestimate how good Richard Fortus is.
For some reason, I visualize that first rehearsal with Axl, Duff, and Slash staring at each other as they play, their faces going from concentration to full blown joy.
yes! i can picture that myself to
I’m sure that happened
11:12 is when he talks about Guns N' Roses.

Thank you!

Pls interview axl and slash together already!
That will never happen..Axl is too jelly of Slash...js
Pamela Bowers i beg to differ. Am sure they can make that happen. They hang together when not on tour.

That was a good interview, I agree. That's how its done.
