I have been suffering from hemifacial spasm since the age of 30. Just as described in the video, it started with the blinking of the eye and expanded to lower face. The attacks takes more than 30 minutes sometimes. Several doctors I've seen all told me that only botox could be relieving cure (after medicines I took) Now it's good to know that there is an alternative to the botox. This illness/disorder is really awful. It's as if you have non-ending earthquakes in half of your head. Regards
Is there any chance you could put me in touch with Chris? I am a French horn player from the U.K and have extremely similar symptoms. I would love to talk to him regarding how the treatment affected his playing. Thank you in advance.
I am 65 and rt side of my face from eye down to mouth started the twitching close to a year ago. My lip on the rt side seems a litter dropped at times. I feel when I'm stressed or nervous it's worse. But I have noticed Just going to sleep at night it's doing it more. I have not seen a Dr. Due to not having any insurance. Thank you for this information.
Can you apply for Medicaid? My daughter finally applied and it was so easy and got her card. They will pay for meds for about 3 months, but she is really thinking about going for the surgery. Good luck!!
@@WorldcupQatar579 I am under oral medication now. The symptoms are moderate. I took botox earlier but it arrested my face around the cheek from any movement and my whole face went awful including my smile as they injected close to my mouth. So I stopped botox. I lost around 9 kgs under oral medicine. Contemplating surgery now but waiting for covid to slowdown. Thanks for asking. I hope you're doing great.
@@BlackDeath12345 The botox treatment is only temporary and the surgery to treat the facial nerve (the nerve is touched by a blood vessel) wouldn't work for me because my spasms aren't caused by that.
I have dealing with this for 5 years. I get so embarrassed to face people.
Informative video. Can i refer you to a new chiropractic directory to publish your video? No charge

Unfortunately, what they talk about in this video doesn't help those of us who have hemifacial spasms due to stroke.
So u can’t get it treated??
