Started seeing someone every week to better understand myself, learn how to think holistically and externally because of you. You are on such an awesome journey which i think many people fail to see. Life is not about having everything sorted, rather figuring it out as we go. Very proud of you Ben. Making yourself vulnerable in order to potentially help others.
Well.. Ben.. you have been a part of my life (so to speak) for about 11 years now... It has been an honor to view your journey... Through the turns of your path there have been times that I worried about you but.. we all have to make decisions in life don't we... Some of my own decisions caused me great trouble and regret... We move on.. learn hopefully and survive... Idealy.. more that survive.. to find joy.. hope and peace... Sometimes I miss the early days of your adventures but.. the blogs will always be there for reminiscing... Ben.. your video today may have been your best... Throughout it I had the most clarity of mind and peace I have had in a long while... Keep moving forward.. as I hope to do... I also would like to say that it is true that Britain and America have great errors in their histories... Don't let that obscure the great good that has come from them as well... Love this, Ben. I used to actively run away from structure and avoid it like the plague - telling myself I valued freedom above all else. I now with age and dare I say it maturity, realise that structure sets us free. I realised that... found structure in my life... then kids started arriving on the scene. Bye bye structure - hello chaos and carnage! For now anyway. At least I recognise it now 🤣 There's a fantastic Rick Rubin interview from 2015 on the Tim Ferriss podcast. Worth a listen!
I’m neurodivergent and a structured day, week, year helps me to not be overwhelmed and feel free within my self-set “rules”. When I am being spontaneous once in a while it seems like such an achievement and “normal” thing to do! I was self-employed, but I learnt that I thrive in an externally structured work environment. Such a relief! You’re doing amazing, Ben. x

The best thing you can do as a creative person is to get a normal, stable job that provides a routine and to create around it. Without that stability you can't have that foundation to create from. I love your ethos on life, a tapestry of life, how beautiful :)

Structure as a means of support is such a grown-up concept. I love a good deal of autonomy in my work but I need structure to help me keep it all on the rails. It took me until my late 30s to understand that was a balance that I needed.
Sorry if this isn't valid enough, or just barely interesting but I really resonated with this video. I've been watching you since about 2013, and you were a big influence to me when i was 12-16 years but despite that, the point you made about how we rebel against structure because it represents a lack of freedom inside. I feel that need to grasp back at control, and live my life in spontaneity. But as my life is leaving the spontaneity stage the fear of structure is so present. Anyway just a thought, hope you're doing well.

here is some of my non-duality notes - There is only God which includes ‘us’, ‘we’ are God, ‘we’ are doing this. There has never been anything but your doing, there is no such thing as perceiving there is only creating. You are not only the existence of the entirety of your experience but everything that has ever happened or anything that will ever happen, there is no other or external everything is internal, it is all you. There is no need for anything to be identified as being in particular and therefore no individuality, and so there is everything as a whole or wholeness which is already free from the need for anything to happen and so just absolute freedom (non-duality).
Hearing this journey you are on is very interesting and brings up so much to talk about. My life can be pretty much split in half on how I lived and what I have believed. The 1st half of my life was seeking after no boundaries, no rules and all about pleasure for myself. I would actually say “anyone that wasn’t living the way I was, is a fool and they are missing out.” I was chasing after it with all I could muster within myself. I would also be known to say, “if it’s not fun, why bother?” As you mention, pretty much everyone wants the same things; to be happy, have joy, peace, feel loved and cared about and to feel they have value. If this is so, why is there so much fighting and hate in this world? So much came into focus when I finally met God. I wasn’t even looking for Him. I was interested in women, so He brought some women in my life that knew Him and I started seeing something different. God doesn’t give us rules and commands to cause us to miss out on things that are good for us. As you mentioned, these boundaries are to keep us safe and protect us from harm. He knows how he created us, what is good and what is bad for us. I found out that I was the fool and missing out by holding on to what I thought I needed to hold on to, to not miss out. Crazy! I started to find a life that I didn’t even know existed. I began to find a peace, joy, love and fulfillment that I had never experienced before apart from God. God tells us that we are in a spiritual battle. A battle for our very souls. We are born into sin with our natural tendencies and desires going against God and His ways. We think we are free, but in reality we are slaves to sin and Satan. This is why we see all the fighting and battling in our world when it seems like people all want the same basic things in life. It really is a spiritual battle and not a people battle. People are just being influenced by different spiritual beings in life and is where the conflict comes from. There is a way out, and God made that way for us. We can continue to try to make our own way, or just take the free God has given us.
Why are the boomers always blamed. Never known some much finger pointing at a generation as we do now the boomers are doing their best and the world didn’t turn out like they wanted either. We are all children of the universe and there needs to be a massive pouring of love to all mankind whatever the generation. We are all going through stuff right now but never ever forget that the universe has our back x have a beautiful rest of your day namaste xx
