Yes I remember sugarcane syrup and do you remember crack liquor. My neighbor used to work at Haymans factory so he always gave my grandmother . One trick I do with my ginger is when I purchase organic ginger I wash it well and put in my nutri bullet and mince it. I then place it in ziploc bag and lay on flat surface in freezer to freeze. When ever I need a piece of ginger I just break a piece off. Don't put too much in ziploc just make a thin layer so it's easy to break a piece off.
Hi Shelly, I don't remember the crack liquor, is that some kind of moon shine? I asked a few people but there're not sure. @@Tinaraine You probably called it something else but when our neighbor brought it home from factory it would still be warm. I guess it was hot cane juice. It was sweet and we would squeeze some lime in it and have it chilled.

Love lemonade! I made some today with a dash of angostura bitters. Add mint, ginger, strawberry, raspberry or orange. The concoctions are great!! Mauby anytime!! Thanks Tina, simply refreshing!😍

Hi Tinaraine. My niece enjoys your Lemonade Ginger Beer so much that I decided to make it today. I have not used my citrus juicer in years so this gave me an opportunity to do so. The Gingerbeer Lemonade really tastes good and it's not difficult to make. I'll try the strawberry lemonade the next time I have strawberries. Loving it!

Hi I grew up in the city as a child but my dad use to bring home molasses. So I know about drinking drink from the molasses called “swank”.
Yes, we all grew up drinking that stuff, which contain a lot of sugar. As you know sugar was not a concern for us back than as it is today.
