      When the Wind is cross runway, why not just land on the Grass ?

    That’s some crazy crosswinds! Glad you got it up in the air. Great choice on flying the Cherokee! It’s one of my favorite planes.

    Looks Nice. I'd love to see more low and slow passes, especially with the EDFs. Great flying practice keeping them close as possible.

      my biggest issue when i am flying and trying to make these videos , is I get caught up in the fun of flying and forget the presentation. LOL

    I agree Greg and I have flown for so long that I tend to fly low regardless of what I am flying. Can't match you but I have 40+ warbirds and jets and your level of concentration certainly sharpens up when you fly low and add a bit of wind to the equation!

      Yes I agree! and you need to be a bit more on your game to be able to recover.

    I like the blue. I have the red. But either way, those Cherokees are sweet little planes. I particularly like flying close to dusk because the lights are pretty amazing.

      I like the red too but they are both super sweet and those lights are amazing at dusk, especially with the sun setting.

    Nice job landing in all that wind we would like to know if the Cherokee 1.3 or the habu sts 70 mm which one is better to learn on after the trainer then we want to go to the mustang 1.0 then a mustang 1.5 thanks for any information your answer will be appreciated.

    • @FatGuyFliesRC
      @FatGuyFliesRC  4 дні тому +1

      I would go with the Cherokee.

      @FatGuyFliesRC ok then we will do that the Cherokee is a nice looking plane with wing flaps I think it will also fly slow for landing thanks.

    Do you also have a Eflight Commander? If so, can you please do a video on the differences between the two?

      no I no longer have it. I sold it dirt cheap to a fellow club member who lost his planes to a garage fire.

      Chalk and cheese, PA28 has a bucket full of dihedral- which makes it benign. They're both low wingers, and blue. That's about their only similarities, apart from both great planes

    According to Google maps, those power lines are about 370' from the end of the runway and the runway is about 250' long. Our runway is 350' long and the 80 to 100 foot tall trees to the north are about 700' away. So, yep, your field is pretty tight. You have a crosswind so often that it might be nice to have it running north and south. I flew a real Cherokee Arrow for a couple of years in the mid-1970's. It was a comfortable, easy-to-fly plane. During the recent holiday sale, I bought one of the new E-flite Cherokees. It's still in the box because I don't have room for another assembled plane.

    • @FatGuyFliesRC
      @FatGuyFliesRC  5 днів тому

      Yes the field is tight. It is something that I deal with almost every flight, but I have learned to embrace the limitations and build on them.
