When you showed the guy with the line on his head in the crown area, I remember I had that shit thinking I was going bald or something, but luckily my hair still growing strong

To me, you focus on that crown immediately. When you have a nice crown that your pattern can follow it makes your pattern come in faster. When you have no crown to base your angles on. It makes your pattern come in slower. It's the reason why your waves, and connections took so long to come in because you never cared about your crown. I really wish I had someone to tell me this when I started because it's really the truth.
Your crown is the dictator of your pattern. 80% of all the issues that is going on with your pattern, has came from the the shape or flow of your crown. That's why if you develop that crown early, it's going to translate into faster progress for your whole pattern. Definitely have to make sure that crown stays higher then the rest of your head.
Definitely recommended for your first cut as a beginner, you shouldn't even cut your crown, let it continue to grow.

I kinda always wondered...what does it mean to not let your crown get cut wouldn't it look weird to not have it cut?
@@darrellsimon4462 Your crown grows slower then the rest of your hair. You can wolf your crown way longer then the rest of your hair and it will still retain its definition.
You over wolf in other places, it will overcurl. Your crown shouldn't overcurl even if you haven't touched trimmed it for 16 weeks. Might as well let it grow until it has nice defined waves in it.

When it comes to wolfing it all depends on what kind of texture you have. Course hair is usually 3-4, medium 5-6 can sometimes longer, and straight is like 8-10 could be a lot more longer.
U wolf until your hard brush cant get down to the scalp anymore. If your brushes are still getting down to your scalp then you must continue to wolf for best progress.

Meh my crown is fine but my left side is obnoxious as hell. I wake up after wearing the rag to sleep, all sides are fine but the left. Maybe cause I got mixed hair or some shit, but literally it’s like curved spikes and everything else is laying down. It’s like the left side has straight hair hiding in there.
