I also love the developing relationship between Gaius and Simon in season 3. I wasn’t expecting that.
I have really appreciated the relationship between Matthew and Gaius. And I considered the conversation between Gauias and Matthew's mother poignant, especially when Guias td her, "Matthew has friends." That said a lot and am hoping we see something more of the relationship between Gaius and Matthew in the future.
One of my absolute favorite characters on The Chosen… He & Matthew are my favorite scenes. He’s so real- he makes it real- not acting. Would like to meet Kirk Woller in person & say Thank you for such a poignant portrayal of realness.
in the Bible, Peter writes a letter to "My dear friend, Gaius"
Actually, it's John who wrote a letter (3 John) to Gaius, not Peter. And it's very likely a different Gaius. But it's all good!

Nope, he'll be the Centurion from Matthew 8:5-13. That's my guess, even though he's a Primi in the show.
Thinking Ganis maybe be the centurion that asks Jesus to heal his servant, WITHOUT coming to his house."Just say the word and my servant will be healed". Jesus ended up proclaiming, "Truly I tell you, I have not found anyone in Israel with such great faith."

@Oشوعیب راسولیO update:I believe Atticus will be the centurion at the cross. When he was introduced, Quintus said "Atticus Cornelius". Cornelius is the name of the gentile Peter converts in Acts.
Gaius has a servant child he loves, he'll ask for his healing.
You cannot be just breezy and oozy with Kirk. He is a real, deep guy! Love his portrayal of Gaius.....

I love the way Kirk plays Gaius! He gives a good sense of humanity to the Roman soldiers. He does his job as a soldier, has a healthy sense of fear of those in charge, but he cares about Matthew!
I just finished watching all three seasons and I really have grown fond of Gaius and believe he will become a follower of Jesus.
I say he already is, in terms of actually carrying out the lessons of Jesus' sermons. Of course, he has no formal declaration or commitment to following him (nor does his job allow it). But he is a just man, and will eventually have to stick up for Jesus (to Quintas, in particular).
I love that actor that plays Gaius! I love the scene where he meets Matthew by his house, when Matthew comes back to open it up for use for the Disciples. Lovely scene that shows the obvious humanity and 'friendship' that the 2 of them don't/can't admit to outlook, but share and understand nonetheless.
I am so drawn to him. The way he speaks and just his presence mesmerizes me.

I love the acting of Kirk, as he acts in Gaius's role. Truly Magnificent Job. He and the man that acts in Matthews role...Matthew is like a real wanna be perfection Man, yet he was humbled, and chose to "follow HIM"

I greatly enjoy seeing God's Spirit surround Gaius gently. Makes me think of 3 John 1:1 (and following), because it's clear he'll be on-side before long and will follow Christ well into the birth of the Church, (and forever).
He is a very nice humble man. and Kirk plays the role of Gaius very well 😘😊💯

Is it because Gaius is a Primi that he doesn't wear a helmet? Every scene Kirk is in he doesn't wear a Roman helmet. Kirk is a phenomenal actor. He is fabulous in giving us Gaius. Love him

I, for one, am so glad AND Grateful that you gave this interview of Kirk Woller. Over a year ago (?maybe?)
I had seen a wonderful interview presented that brought me to tears.
As a creative person who loves to afford possibilities in offering help, direction and inspiration to younger people (in his case, a desire to mentor younger actors... or any actors for that matter) I identify with this. I'm inspired and very moved that this interview allows his "voice"... (I mean his "opinions"... well, he also has a good voice to listen to). Of the character/actors portrayed in this epic series, I'm poised with his intellectual side, but also his allowance to Listen about this miracle-working man, Jesus... and how he leaves the door ajar (he stays open minded). This series chose, perfectly, actors, like Woller (Kirk) whom we feel Guias being portrayed as a strict roman soldier, with wonderful human traits of
compassion, and genuine sincerity. I hope to see more interviews, such as this. Thank, Kirk Woller, for me, will ya? And thank yous.

The role of Gaius is my 2ND most favoriet character in The Chosen! I absolutey LOVE watching this man, Kirk Woller, play the role of Gaius! My FAVORITE character, of course, is that of the Roman Officer, Quintess, played by Brandon Potter! BOTH of them are EXCELLENT actors! - Susan Burns

I enjoy that the scriptural figures we are seeing in the Chosen are really just people like us. There's a tremendous amount of comfort in that. Also in seeing the Word of God that we've all loved and studied being respected and revealed in all it's life changing power to a greater audience. What a joy!

I would say he is the centurion that doesn’t let Jesus in his house… “my servant” he talks about in episode 5 (I think) the one he adopted…. Oh yea…. I would say that’s gonna be the finale this season.
What he described was not the best kind of faith, but faith itself. If you, "believe," for any reason other than being, "fully persuaded," you are not actually, "believing," at all. You are simply conforming behaviors for social reasons.

PREACH SIR!!! Don't be a blind sugar cookie. Exercise critical thinking when reading your Bible or hearing someone in church speak otherwise you end up the strayed away sheep that gets gotten by a fox or wolf instead of following Jesus the shepherd. Without questioning you fall into cults and other dark traps.
I love in the show they talk about where he comes from. It really helps you understand that he’s just a broken man that’s trying to get by. Like so many of us until we find God.
Love your character in The Chosen, and how it's developing. (Also rewatching the XFiles... great job in S8E2 - Without.)
Gaius has a complex and evolving character in the series. His character, along w/ Atticus, are extremely powerful ones because they each, in their own way, represent the rational & good-hearted gentiles who gradually gain fair and legitimate impressions of Jesus and eventually will come to believe. In fact, I'd say that both of them, at the end of season 3, already approve of Jesus, but as of yet have no tangible commitment to following him (and indeed, professionally, cannot have one). It's the inevitable showdowns with Quintas (and perhaps eventually Pilate, Herod, and the ruling Jews) that will be most intriguing.
I had a Jehovah witness come to my door one time. Had a great conversation with her. We finally got into the trinity. And she said she didn't believe in that. And I said to her, ok friend, the next time you come back and we chat again I want you to answer this question. Why do you WANT to believe that? She was stunned. She's like oh my I never thought of that. She's said she was going to have to go home and relook at this whole thing. It was totally the Holy Spirit working in me, but it was awesome. It was a lovely conversation and it ended with her actually thinking about what she believed and why just like Kirk is talking about here. Love you friend! You're doing a great job with this character!!
I hadn't heard of Kirk before the Chosen either, now I've seen him in old episodes of the Ghost Whisperer & X-Files! Look! It's Gaius!

Gaius is worth an Oscar
There are some things that you dont need to pick apart. Faith doesnt come from facts, faith comes from your heart. I never once questioned my faith in Him. From the age of 5 years old, I got it.

Romans give some chill to the show. Some suspension, asking questions on Jesus and his Ministry, always hide in the back to appear in important moments.
Gaius seems to have good in him- though he is part of the Romans...Maybe there was hope for his Soul 💙💜💖 either way it is clear he truly cares for Matthew 😇
Do we know if Kirk is a Christian, follower of Christ? Yes he knows Dallas for 20+ years and has been in his previous movies, but does he “know” Jesus? He never really came around to saying it.
I'm not sure, but why would need to answer that in this interview? This isn't an interrogation of his personal views, it's an interview about his acting role in a series.

I don't know, I think reason is sort of antithetical to faith. When I think of faith I think of the phrase leap of faith, meaning just trust it, don't overthink it. If you approach the existence of God from a purely reason based place, i.e. apply the scientific method to God, then you would conclude that there is no God. It's through faith that we come to know God, not through reason.
To be honest I'm completely disappointed about Chosen. Showing LGBT FLAG during the play recordings, male actors hugging kissing eachother and SO ON is not acceptable it's a huge responsibility for anyone to take part I hope they know what they are doing not to to damage the subject, characters and the facts about jesus BECAUSE it's not just any movie it's about the lord son of god JESUS. it's not funny and not a joke.hope they take it seriously.
