You are so right! I had an elite stylist burn the mess out of me and my hair this past December. I found Summer's tutorial and have been to two different ladies trying to get it done. Neither one did it justice. Now I just have fried frizzy scarecrow layers. You would think living in a big city I could find someone with this talent... but they are one in a million apparently!

I've been cutting my own hair since 2019, those self haircut tutorials...which weren't bad, but didn't give me the most professional look. Though I was still happy as I could decide my own length & style!
But Summer, you're just so amazing with your guidance! I'm not a professional so it took me quite some time to understand the technique but eventually I grasped it and I did my own haircut! Although not as professionally beautiful as your haircut, I was still able to get a 75% result by cutting my own hair with your help & tips! It turned out beautiful and more importantly after a few days, and months, my hair still has texture to it! They've grown out but still look pretty and have a natural flow to it, which never used to happen after any haircut, even if I went to salon/hair dresser! So, you are an amazing teacher and hair stylist!❤ Much love to you! Today I'm gonna cut my hair again into longer layers, so gonna try a different video of yours!

I LOVE this haircut! That is how I have been trying to get my haircut for the past 2 to 3 years. It seems like people are afraid to put layers in hair anymore. I wish that I lived in your area to request your services! This is exactly the type of cut I want, but I find most hairdressers do not know how to deal with a side part and don't cut enough layers (even though I always say I want "a lot of layers and a lot of texture").

I love your work! Wish you were near Fayetteville, Arkansas. I have been unsuccessful in finding a hairdresser since I moved here. I wear my hair parted off center and it seems like I always leave with one side way shorter than the other and it drives me crazy. It was interesting how you said to pull it up over the part to check it. I’ve not seen anyone do that when cutting my hair. This turned out beautiful 😊❤️

This is exactly how I cut and I am NOT bragging. It's so hard to find stylists who truly know how to cut layers. I do point cut which saves more time later but either way is acceptable. I know it's because I was trained in 1967 and all cuts were geared for style, volume, movement. The guide line at the bottom moving up is the secret. Thanks for a great video.
