If I was a woman, I would never trust my child to be with a man who does not want to pay child support...if you have to be forced by a court to pay up, you should not be allowed visitation of that child...just pay up and keep it moving. Too many children are now dying while on visit with the father...too many ACCIDENTS. Also, if the child dies in the father's care during visitation, that father should be liable for all the money the child support would add up to, over 18 years or how ever many years is left. Not enough is done to protect children in custody battles...there is just too much evil in this world.

Shared custody sounds reasonable at minimum. Providing they can prove that one parent is truly unfit.
If both parents are equally fit. Then 50/50 is best-in a way that makes sense (staying in same city/town-allowing the child to go to their normal school/extra curricular activities/practices with no interruptions. Less stress. I hope more parents could be cordial when it comes to this stuff.
