I am very happy to hear that your wife is doing better and that you've been the man who does the right thing. I'm looking forward to whatever you publish. Your commentary and analysis are always welcome. Thank you, Joe, who is a better player because of your good work.
First...so good to hear of the progress your wife has made. God has blessed your family. Secondly...this was a really good video and I agree with your message re: the golf swing. There are a 1000 things, movements and positions you can focus on outside of the 4 fundamentals you mentioned. It's a dark rabbit hole filled with a million different swing thoughts that work for a day or a week and then you're back down the rabbit hole. Why not consider a series of videos focused on course strategy from tee to pin based on handicap levels (or your handicap level)...Why instead of driver off the tee, you might use a rescue club, 4 iron or 7 iron and still be in position to make par. And on and on.... Strategy and the discipline to stick to a game plan (for someone who really wants to post a score) are a couple of things that most golfers could use some good counsel.
Very glad to hear about your wife's great outcome! Also glad to hear that you're taking time for yourselves. Good basic instruction for getting some simple reward and pleasure from playing the game and not being lost in the weeds (metaphorically and actually) all the time. Cheers.
Family first pal. I did my journey a couple of years ago. Prayers and best of health for your wife. Great video as well. My golf game is extremely simple, but very effective. I concentrate on 3 things: comfortable, repeatable and accuracy. My blow up score within the last 5 years was 86. (white tees). Keep up the good work. And trust me, you can make a video about changing a tire and still get views. You are a very personable guy and have a great way of speaking. Again, prayers to the wife and you for keeping the support for her.
Glad to hear the good news about your wife. Family always comes first. Couldn’t agree with you more about the golf swing not being complicated. YT, golf magazines, TV, and golf coaches make it sound difficult because they need the bodies in order to make money. The hardest part of a golf swing is figuring out what works best for your body, rhythm, biomechanics and sequence. All of the technical positions are irrelevant. Like you said, focus on the truly fundamental principles and forget the rest of the noise. Golf is not that complicated, it is difficult to get good at, but not difficult to play. Once you got the fundamentals down, get your carry numbers for each club and then work on course management. After that, go have fun, remember, we’re not pros, we play because we like it. Cheers
That's great news Chad. Family first! And I started doing the Sq to Sq as it is very simplistic, especially hitting that sweet spot with incremental yardage. However, I felt it was difficult with longer irons as you are not supposed to break your wrists. So I've pivoted to merging this method with Mike Malaska and WOW I had never hit my GW wedge 120 and I'm doing that now as I'm finding the at sweet spot with the "effortless" speed of doing the L to L. After 30+ years I finally found something that fits me.
Chad, glad the wife is back!! I have come to the same revelation. I used to consume tons of golf UA-cam lessons. I hit the ball well, and can hit it a long way. The thing that I need to improve is not how well I hit the ball, but how often I hit the ball well.
So happy for You and Your Wife, I can relate to what you’ve gone through as my wife is a stage four cancer survivor. Many bright days ahead for you both. 🙏🙏. Keep pumping out the videos it’s good therapy and besides that you’ve helped so many of us struggling golfers. 👍👍
Glad you are going to continue. I’m stuck on your video’s with Shawn Clement. I like his teaching and your looked good when you were demonstrating his task. Thanks
Great To hear that your wife’s health is on the up and up. Whatever you decide to do, you have filled a great niche amongst golf UA-camrs . Enjoyed the input from Golf coaches ,(maybe Shawn Clements aside), and your journey of golf discovery
Thank God for the great news of your wife's chemo treatments. What a relief! I watch your videos because your approach is genuine, uncomplicated and speaks to what I'm looking for in golf. I've played golf a long time, sometimes good, other times not so good. Watching this video, I realized what I probably knew all along, but wouldn't admit to myself, that I've been chasing my tail all these years with endless swing tips and the latest swing cures. Time to follow your lead, simplify and enjoy. Thanks for what you do and hope you'll continue post great content!
Great news on Mrs GTD. Family and friends always take priority over pretty much everything. Also, picked up a Bionic glove. Not going back to the others.
I love your channel! It is so refreshing to hear from another golf geek with no axe to grind! The thing I love about your channel is the “Chase” in finding swing solutions. That adventure is as much a part of what I enjoy as in hitting a 250 draw off the tee (which for me would be the equivalent of a 320 cut drive of the pros). I love to tinker with my swing and equipment. That is fun for me. Your journey is inspiring to me. Keep up threat work. BTW…great news about your wife!! Will keep her, and you, in my prayers.
Chad Been with you since the beginning, but I'm so glad to hear about your wife because family is first. Enjoy your family time and a huge shout out to God and his son Jesus Christ 🙏
Thank you for all of your videos!! I really appreciate this one as well as you’ve tried so many different swings. Could you provide any additional basic drills? BTW, I practiced your advice and struck the ball the best ever in 8 years!!!!! Praying for your wife’s full recovery!
Good news and thanks to the almighty for your brides most excellent recovery and always…there’s power in prayer I agree with Chad …there comes a time when we turn off the camera but if you do get ready for withdrawals …don’t ask me how I know You’ll know when it’s time I agree with you again ….all it’s about is getting the face looking at the ball in the direction for what you want…and that’s it K.I.S.S. Hunker down for the weather and we’ll see you when we see it
Man, that's tough. I love Trevinos short game, but he's not a UA-camr. I like Jim Venetos' short game approach, and Golf Sidekick keeps it very simple, which is ideal.
Glad to hear the good news about your wife. Prayers for her and your family. I think your content is the best because you’re one of us. I do have some question about your irons. I went back watched WITB and you went away from the Srixon irons and back to the 845s. Why did you go back? I have been playing the Zx5 for about year now I love them but I have been thinking about going back to something more forgiving like the 845s.
I think I mentioned it in some video, some time, and said.... something. Maybe. Anyway, I just wasn't getting "it" from the ZX5s, and Tommy Armour, for whatever reason, has just never let me down. Better forgiveness and distance.
@@GolfTestDummy I just pulled the trigger on some used 845 Max irons 5 thru 9 iron for $80. Going to take them to the range this afternoon and play 18 holes with them tomorrow. Again thanks for the content let’s make golf simple again.
So you’re saying don’t try and hit the ball 350 yards off the tee 🤔😅 you’re absolutely right Chad. I myself keep trying to swing perfect like the pros so I can crush the ball. But it’s backfiring on me and I’m swinging worse 😂 I needed to hear this today. Thanks and great news about your wife! Keep the videos coming Chad, I don’t care if other UA-camrs talk about the same thing, I’d rather hear it from you and get your take on it. I feel you can teach it better than them!
Good to hear your wife is on the mend 😁 Keep it simple sounds like advice that would benefit most golfers Looking forward to some on course application Keep up the good work
Hi Chad, Thanks for what you shared. I agree. Based on what you shared, would you say if I wanted a method that required minimal practice and positions and swing thoughts- Shawn Clement would be the man? Is that the way to a simple repeatable swing? Or would you make it even simplier- just work on low point drills, face control and swing path direction with blur? And not worry about “over the top” as that will self- adjust? Sorry if that was too long. Thanks, John Solinger
That’s great news about your Wife! I agree regarding all of the complicated instruction on UA-cam. Like Tiger Woods said when asked what would be his best golf advice- ‘Don’t watch UA-cam Instruction videos’

Glad to hear about your wife. The videos are great but it's family first.
Don’t Stop. The world needs GTD. ❤
Thanks big dog.
I know my world is better with GTD in it.

I hope to do that when I can get on course more. Haven't been able to play much recently, but it's coming.

We ALL do it, and we all need good friends to remind us of the obvious from time to time. I'm sure I'll forget and need a reminder next week.
Wonderful hope she stays healthy ! Stay positive and healthy !!
Great news on Mrs GTD. Family and friends always take priority over pretty much everything.

Smart man.
Happy to hear your wife is doing well. Perhaps some drills on your four fundamentals. Always enjoy your content.

So happy to hear that life is looking up again! Listen, UA-cam is an outlet for us and you are doing a great service for us. Keep up the great work!
Great news. Good stuff.
Thank God 🙏🙏🙏
Great chip tips

Great news about your wife and it really puts things into perspective. Who cares if you can or can't break 90? It's just a game.
So happy to hear about Mrs. GTD!!! Sometimes God says yes to prayers! Good to see you back.
Happy for you and your wife! Life gets in the way sometimes. We’ll be here when you get back
That's outstanding news about your wife congratulations
I think this may be the most beneficial video you've ever made.
It's definitely the mantra we all need.
Great hear about your wife awesome video we do complicate golf swing way too much love you're approach to the swing
Who are your short game UA-cam hero’s? Thanks for all you do!!

Keep up the good work
My plan was to film few on course videos this week. Dumping rain 5 straight days with a tropical storm..... good timing.
Congratulations, thank God for chemo!! Thank you for your videos I appreciate your style that's why I subscribed. Family first bro.
Great news about your wife bud. Best wishes to you all going forward. 🤞👍

Good questions, and that actually helps me figure out a couple of video ideas. Thanks!
Looking forward to those! Thanks
Like the stay in the lane theory!
Congratulations on the wife’s diagnosis.
That’s great news about your Wife!
I agree regarding all of the complicated instruction on UA-cam. Like Tiger Woods said when asked what would be his best golf advice-
‘Don’t watch UA-cam Instruction videos’
