DIY: HOW TO MAKE A PHOTO CANVAS/ MOTHER'S DAY GIFT IDEA

- Опубліковано 30 кві 2017
- Hi my loves! I am loving my new photo canvas. I can't believe how easy it is to make a photo canvas at home. I printed these 11x14 photo sheets from costco for $3.99 each in Lustre (matte). My canvas was a size 8x10. You need to make sure your photo is at least 3 inches larger than the canvas on all sides. (ex: an 8x10 canvas would need an 11x14 photo to wrap around).
I hope you like this DIY! Just in time for Mother's Day :) it would make a great gift. Happy early Mother's Day to all the beautiful mommies!

After the mod podge dries I put a clear gloss spray over the top because I like a glossy finish.
Beautiful! Inspiring me to go make a few of my own!
❤
Your DIY MOD PODGE video brought me here and yes it does dry clear
Try the Adhesive spray trust it is a game changer. And I to prefer the folded edges of photo over the Pinter edges. Beautiful job
Hi, I was just thinking about trying something like this. I though I'd look on here to see if anyone has tried it yet. Love it. Thank you for your video.
Jenny Vazquez hi jenny! thank you for the love.
How about painting sides black? I think I would prefer that but wondering if I could cut edges properly.
Kay Farm hi kay! I actually did that I painted the whole canvas black but you don’t have to, just do the sides only. I used scissors to cut my photo . place your photo on the canvas and turn it around and with a pencil trace around it. once you remove the canvas, cut the photo using the lines. Another way is you can use a ruler and cut the photo using the canvas measurements. remember to cut the photo the way you want it to display. good luck!

Does Elmer blue works the same?
How do you know what size photo to print per canvas you buy so your head doesn’t get cut off?? Thanks 🙏🏾
Get the same size canvas as the picture that way you won’t have to staple on and picture will fit perfectly
You definitely want the image bigger than your canvas ( 3 inches bigger in all sides ) so it can wrap around it to achieve this canvas look.. for reference I had an 8x10 canvas with an 11x14 print out
What kind of paper did you use to have the photo printed on?
Yes what kind of paper did you print on?
Hi! These were printed from Costco 11x14 photo sheets in Lustre (matte). They are now affiliated with Shutterfly. I’ve linked it below 🩵

hi do u know how to do this but also add glitter x
Hi what size canvas
Hi! My canvas was 8x10
It looks very messy and untidy with the stapling at the back. I’d sooner cut the image to fit canvas and paint the sides. Much neater.
No one sees the staples..
That mod podge is horrible stuff, ruined a perfectly good photo.
