I had to go full time way way before I planned too due to my mom being diagnosed with early stage Dementia and Stage 3 Kidney disease. Have you checked into the resources in your state for being mom's caregiver. In NJ there is a program where the state pays you for being your ill family members caregiver.
Sorry to hear about your mom. You may want to look into being her paid caregiver. I'm not sure how it works. I supposed she would have to be on disability. My friend is a paid caregiver for his son. (High on the spectrum) he got tired of the nurses ditching last minute. He called the place who was going to send out the next caregiver and asked. They got him certified ( cpr) The pay isn't crazy but it's something. And now he stays home with his son.
Fantastic Goal! I just did the same! I’ve been at it, with an inherited vintage hoard, for 4 years. I gave myself 5. Dream property purchased, barn is built, and the inherited house just sold. 66 days until closing. I didn’t source anything…. My mom did the sourcing over the course of 35 years. @@Timetraveler1111MN I'm not sure about your area but here in North Carolina the best flea markets are the bigger areas near Raleigh. However that's too far for me to drive and you have to get up at like 3:00 in the morning to get ready. So I stick to a little local flea market that's only a few miles from me and it's got excellent Mexican food. My best advice is just to try different ones and see what works. You'll get used to getting up early especially when you start making money!

Back when he was in middle school, we would get up at the crack of dawn in search of garage and estate sales for treasures to buy and sell for a profit. Those were fun days. I'm now an empty nester but have recently returned to buying for resale and have found some fun items. Having a goal helps drivetrain… determination. A lot of the laws of attraction always says have a goal have a date set sometimes you just can’t do that but when you have a goal like you have you will succeed one thing I will say those don’t overdo it and get over your head because you just don’t know what the economy will be like and you might been doing it for a long time but I would say keep it humble and simple and small enough to keep the bills manageable.
I just came from Goodwill and they are now charging $15 for candles new ones I left it behind I think that all the resellers need to unite for about a week and boycott.
Have to remember though starting out sales are slower! You deserve to buy a home ....you work hard and bring us great truthful content....good luck and I'm rooting for you , and me lol

The goodwills where I live are all full of junk. The type of junk people don’t take free from a garage sale. Most of the clothing is garbage, promo shirts from defunct start ups or high school gym clothing. Most of the electronics are broken. They will power on but have internal problems. The desperation to side hustle is so thick there all long lines before the stores open. Everyone is a flipper now. All stores are picked over. The good old days of finding treasures at thrift stores are long gone. All thanks to UA-camrs showing people how to find and flip.
If the thrifts in your area are "bad" try yard sales. If yard sales are bad try flea markets, If those are bad try bin sales. If those are bad try pallets, storage auctions, regular auctions, estate sales, facebook marketplace buys, retail arbitrage. Or just blame UA-camrs for not being able to find stuff. 🤷♂️
If many sellers sell a exact item I have at $100 I will sell it for $50 it will sell instantly within hours not days with free shipping added and still make some profit lol! I pack at least 20 to 30 packages a day and make thousands weekly. Acumamuta!

I live in England and my 19years old son still has his Lego and won't sell them, we kept the boxes & instructions. It's the same with his x 10 star wars space ships and figures vintage things they are from the 80s & worth over £400 he has them up in the loft.

Great challenge and you know what your doing. I've watched at least 15 channels like this and took the advice. My pictures look good and I list my stuff competitively. I can't seem to sell anything. I've only sold some fubu gear which was a fluke. How are you able to sell when starting out?
Are you checking sell though on items? Look for items with high sell through and buy and list those. If you see something that has 100 listed and say 70 to 100 sold in the past 90 days on ebay you're probably going to sell it within a reasonable time period.
Watch a bunch of UA-cam videos. I'm biased and think my thrift store and yard sale playlists are pretty good at showing you what to look for. Also, find some items of value around your house that you no longer use. Get used to listing and dealing with ebay that way. Then finally, go hit some yard sale and thrifts. Good luck!

Thank you for all the wonderful tips you share. The first time I saw your video I thought you looked so much like my 36-year old son! Back when he was in middle school, we would get up at the crack of dawn in search of garage and estate sales for treasures to buy and sell for a profit. Those were fun days. I'm now an empty nester but have recently returned to buying for resale and have found some fun items. Having a goal helps drivetrain… determination. A lot of the laws of attraction always says have a goal have a date set sometimes you just can’t do that but when you have a goal like you have you will succeed one thing I will say those don’t overdo it and get over your head because you just don’t know what the economy will be like and you might been doing it for a long time but I would say keep it humble and simple and small enough to keep the bills manageable.

I just came from Goodwill and they are now charging $15 for candles new ones I left it behind I think that all the resellers need to unite for about a week and boycott.

The goodwills where I live are all full of junk. The type of junk people don’t take free from a garage sale. Most of the clothing is garbage, promo shirts from defunct start ups or high school gym clothing. Most of the electronics are broken. They will power on but have internal problems. The desperation to side hustle is so thick there all long lines before the stores open. Everyone is a flipper now. All stores are picked over. The good old days of finding treasures at thrift stores are long gone. All thanks to UA-camrs showing people how to find and flip.
If the thrifts in your area are "bad" try yard sales. If yard sales are bad try flea markets, If those are bad try bin sales. If those are bad try pallets, storage auctions, regular auctions, estate sales, facebook marketplace buys, retail arbitrage. Or just blame UA-camrs for not being able to find stuff. 🤷♂️

If many sellers sell a exact item I have at $100 I will sell it for $50 it will sell instantly within hours not days with free shipping added and still make some profit lol! I pack at least 20 to 30 packages a day and make thousands weekly. Acumamuta!

It means the seller accepted an offer. You can look on your seller dashboard under terapeak research to see what the offer was on an item.

I live in England and my 19years old son still has his Lego and won't sell them, we kept the boxes & instructions. It's the same with his x 10 star wars space ships and figures vintage things they are from the 80s & worth over £400 he has them up in the loft.

That tape I had to leave on. The stickers I remove with a blow dryer as shown in the video.

I've watched at least 15 channels like this and took the advice. My pictures look good and I list my stuff competitively. I can't seem to sell anything. I've only sold some fubu gear which was a fluke.
How are you able to sell when starting out?
Are you checking sell though on items? Look for items with high sell through and buy and list those. If you see something that has 100 listed and say 70 to 100 sold in the past 90 days on ebay you're probably going to sell it within a reasonable time period.

Watch a bunch of UA-cam videos. I'm biased and think my thrift store and yard sale playlists are pretty good at showing you what to look for. Also, find some items of value around your house that you no longer use. Get used to listing and dealing with ebay that way. Then finally, go hit some yard sale and thrifts. Good luck!
