Star Trek really has missed an opportunity to have a killer line with their habit of bringing back the dead. I can see it now in a future series. The Captain of the ship is killed by the main villain only to come back in the season finale. The villain shocked at seeing them alive exclaims bewilderment. The only response the Captain gives is three words: "I got better." At which point knowing when they're defeated, the villain surrenders without a fight. If their nemesis can come back from death, they're undefeatable.
Technically Dukat died when he drank the poison Kai Winn gave him, but he popped back up (and without his Bajoran disguise). Of course he didn’t live for much longer after Sisko knocked him and the book into the fire caves.
Daniels also died in season 1. Also, the entire crew of Voyager with the exception of Harry and Naomi Wildman in "Deadlock" (we've been following a duplicate Voyager created in that episode for the rest of the series).
Man... So MANY deaths that didn't stick. Checkov, McCoy, Scotty, the entire crew of the Enterprise-D multiple times due to a timeloop and Sideshow Bob... I mean Kelsie Grammer..., the entire Voyager crew due to multiple instances of time shenanigans, Jake Sisko to return his dad to the moment before an accident, and SO MANY MORE! Oh! And that time some of the Bridge Crew died during one of Q's visits all to prompt Riker to use the Q powers he was given. Edit: I am intentionally NOT including character deaths from parallel universes UNLESS they have a significant impact on the "Prime" universe. Prime is in quotes because even THAT is clearly debatable when their history can be completely rewritten by a cloaking device and a transporter.
Anyone who played Star Trek Online would count, as everyone must've had at least one moment where their ship, crew and all, got blown up only to then come back and return to the fight.
I think there should have been a storyline for Harry Kim & Naiomi Wildman where stuff happens to them when everyone else was unaffected purely because they came from the "other Voyager" when the ship as split into two phased states, given that damaged Voyager lost their counterparts and clean Voyager went boom but sent the two across the rift to save their lives, though it's unlikely to happen now I'm sure... :P
Lindsay Ballard, Wesley Crusher, Neelix, Harry Kim, Naomi Wildman, McCoy, Chekov, Lt Leslie, Dimitri Valtane, Tuvok, you’ve got enough for a second video. Get back to work Sean.
If I had a nickel for every time Picard had his consciousness transferred into a new body, I'd have two nickels, which isn't much, but it's odd that it happened twice.
@@OldManYellsAtCloudsyeah, much as I love the Inner Light - is certainly in my top 5 - he doesn’t really “die” at any point. Even his “death” at the end of his incepted life is really becoming aware that “it was all a dream” and returning to the main timeline. Very debatable, as you say. 😊
@@DawnDavidson the OP said "consciousness transferred into a new body" not that he necessarily died, but i did say debatable for the reasons you stated.
I promise: if you wander into _that_ section of the library, it's still absolute fiction. No one has ever come back from the dead, ever; there is no such thing as gods or messiahs and never has been, ever.

McCoy “Shore Leave”
You forgot the entire crew of the Voyager, and the crew of the Enterprise D in a couple of episodes
OH BUT YOU FORGOT TO MENTION- (proceeds to list off hundreds more characters) -and Neelix!
He's not dead, Jim.
Even Scotty got brought back by Nomad.
In his short life Boimler has died twice, been clinically dead (without seeing a Koala) an additional time and has had his clone fake his own death.
@@silversonic1 yeah that's what I said, two koala, one non-koala
@pavarottiaardvark3431 Sorry. I didn't follow it right. It looked originally like you said twice with only one being clinical.

You should watch Torchwood. They show to what great lengths villains will go, if the main character cannot die.

I was hoping you would mention the OG, when Scotty was brought back by Nomad.
What about Ensign Lindsey Ballard - Voyager ?
What about Neelix who died and was brought back? It was the entire plot of Mortal Coil

No Tosha Yar? To be killed as a demonstration of power?
And how many times the actress came back as other characters
Kai Opaka "Battle Lines"
Oh no you mentioned Discovery! don't you know that summons all the "Discovery isn't trek" people. thanks a lot Sean.
DISCO isn’t Trek! It’s Star Wars with a new header.
@@StarFleet_Tech1701 but it is trek, no matter what you think. you have no authority to decide what's trek and what isn't ,sorry.
What about the first time Picard dies (Tapestry) and then Neelix dies (Mortal Coil)?
Yes, when The Picard was felled by an arrow by a Mintaakan heretic
@@tetravega567 he never dies in the Mintaakan episode. he is hit in the shoulder.
Shocked that O'Brien wasn't mentioned. Dude died and was replaced by a version of himself from the future...
I'm still not sure how that works.
'timey wimey quantum space continuum stuff'

Forgot Harry Kim
Harry didn't really come back from the dead, he was just replaced with a different Harry. the other is still dead.
i hope part 2 has ro laren in it.
A few red shirts from the original series who get killed on away missions only to be back on board the following week.
Yet another thing Star Trek and X-Men have in common.
How is Spock not number 1?
No Boimler?
IIRC a couple bg crew extras died, and were seen in later episodes alive n well

Miles O’Brien
I saw a Koala...
But why is he smiling? What does he know?!"
under 5-minute crew!
"Thus curing death in the Kelvin Universe." Laughed my fool head off!
Really enjoyed, but never loved the Kelvin movies.
Kelvin timeline is crap!
I miss the show Discovery was in the first 2 seasons. It was fine in the other seasons but the changes they made to appease the man children hurt it
Discovery died, but is coming back as Academy! 😡

Didn't X die?
They got better
Shouldn't Grey be on this list?
Didn't Shax die at the end of Season 2?
Boimler

It's almost always such contrived retcon bullshit...

Does your erotic novel lead to “la petit mort”? Otherwise I fail to comprehend the connection to this video. 😆
