I bought a 2018 G90 in November ‘18, essentially the same car as the 2019. It’s a great vehicle. Everything Alex says is spot on. I test drove the competition too, Merc, BMW, Audi, Lexus, all great cars, and the Genesis delivers true luxury comparable to them. What’s not the same or almost the same is value. I leased my Genesis and based on the interest rate and the residual value and the payment, the price of the car after discounts of $11,000 was around $59,000. I may be stupid, but given the quality and performance of this car vs the cost of the car, it would be hard to say that it’s not the best luxury full size car for the money. If you want to pay $30K-40K more for massage seats, and a 3/10th of a second 0-60, and a brand badge, be my guest. It also get great safety ratings, best ratings from JD Powers for initial quality in its class. If you just like the look and feel of the other card ps and are willing to pay the difference, I understand. They took the dealership experience out of the equation by picking your car up and leaving you the loaner, so for me it’s a win. I don’t really care to be given an espresso at the dealership anyway, my willingness to go to a dealership for service is in inverse proportion to the price paid for the car. Everything maintenance wise is included for three years. It’s my third Hyundai/Genesis, so maybe I’m prejudiced, I don’t care about the brand badge, only the car behind the moniker, and what I have to fork out to get it. It’s worth every penny. I don’t harbor any ill will to someone who disagrees with my opinion, it’s not a zero sum game😁
I believe I got a good deal. I basically look at difference between the discounted price, and the residual value you can buy the car for at the end of the lease which is the depreciation of the car during the period, and compare that to payments due at signing, plus the total of the monthly lease payment excluding sales tax on the payments, and see how much that delta is. The excess of payments vs the depreciation during the period is the interest they are charging you to have the car for the 3 years. You can then run the numbers using a financial calculator or website and back into the interest rate. You just need all the details from the dealer and a financial calculator to prove it out. Genesis is still running lease deals on 2018 G90’s. The biggest issue was finding the car. None of the three dealers in my city had one, and they had to work a trade with a dealer 500 miles away and trade them a G80 that dealer needed. There are not that many G90’s around and finding one in the couple of colors I was interested in narrowed down the availability. I got a 3.3L Turbo with AWD in San Simeon Gray
Hi All. I own a 2019 G90 Ultimate RWD. Purchased CPO from dealer with 9350 miles on it in 2021. Paid under 50K for this beauty/beast. Lil history. I've owned BMW 740il, BMW 325i, Mini Cooper and a Bennington 2575 RSB pontoon. :) I can honestly say, this car is, A M A Z I N G. The test drive didn't do it justice. This car keeps getting better with every drive. It's smooth as butter, sexy as hell and one hell-ova-ride. Do yourself a favor and at least test drive a G90. I will never go back to BMW. Overpriced snobbery is for 30 year olds. If your smart, you see an awesome deal when it presents itself. G90 is it. Love, Love, Love. Note: (I've never driven a Mercedes S-Class so I can't compare it to the G90). Stay safe and sane.
I've had my 2019 G90 V8 Ultimate for about two weeks now and I LOVE IT! I was holding out for a 2020 model but, since they probably won't be available in CA until early next year, I decided to go with the 2019. I'm still learning about the vehicle but my initial impressions are: excellent build quality, outstanding interior (and exterior) design, very comfortable (driver & passenger), awesome power/transmission/suspension, well thought out and intuitive technology (LKA, Adaptive cruise control, seat controls, audio/video system), and, lastly, an OUTSTANDING VALUE. My previous car was a Jaguar XF-S and before that a BMW 5. I've owned multiple BMWs and Mercedes and this car beats them all hands down. Do yourself a favor and check out the Genesis.
I just took a 800-mile round trip in my ‘18 Genesis G90 Ultimate. Let’s just say that I’m not going back to Lexus ever again. As Alex said, G90 is comparable to the current line up of luxury rear-wheel drive cruisers in terms of performance and creature comforts at significantly lower pricing. So, why should I pay that $25K delta between the G90 and Lexus LS 500? In the 90’s, Lexus was all about value over its competition. Not anymore. I’ve heard people say that a Genesis is nothing but a Hyundai. Well, in that same line of reasoning, a Lexus is nothing but a Toyota. Genesis offers generous lease cash for the G90, so if you factor this in with your own ability to negotiate for dealer discounts, you will pay no near the $73K MSRP for this vehicle. The best way to “buy” the G90 is to lease the vehicle to take advantage of the generous lease cash and then exercise your option to buy the car at any time during the lease or at the end of the lease. Lease cash in December of 2018 was $10,750. Some dealers were motivated to throw in two to three $500 certificates from Genesis Corp. to move the ‘18s before the ‘19s would arrive. I think that the Genesis brand has already leaped frogged over Infiniti and Acura. It may take a few more generational launches to get to Lexus in terms of refinement, but as it currently is, it feels ominously similar to when Lexus launched the LS400. I don’t even want to mention the BMW and MB. I don’t want to go through the headache of owning them anymore. I was curious about leasing a S550, but it was going to be literally twice as much per month as the G90. And the S550 is not twice the car as the G90 is.
Every car deal is different. Even Lexus was offering $5,000 lease cash and $3,000 conquest cash for the ‘18 LS 500 at the time. However, that still kept the delta of over $25K. Leasing is a little complicated, but comparing apples to apples in money terms, the three years to borrow the car will cost me less than 2% APR for three years. My negotiated price was below invoice at $66,000 before $10,750 lease cash and two $500 Genesis certificates, so my gross adjusted cap was $54,250. I think the residual is about $29K. Essentially, should I decide to exercise my option to buy the car, my buy price would be about $54,250 plus $2,000 that I decided to pay out of pocket for the first month’s payment, registration, doc fees and taxes on the lease cash and certificates (Yes, you do need to pay state sales tax on manufacture’s discounts like you would pay for your heavily-discounted iPhones from your carriers).
I thought so, too. With the $10,750 lease cash, Genesis is like paying for all of the car’s 1st year depreciation. For the start of ‘19s, however, don’t expect the lease cash to be no near this amount as the car hasn’t depreciated on paper yet. After all, it’s literally a brand new 2019 vehicle. I bet in after 3 years and 30K miles, The 2018 G90 5.0 Ultimate will be worth more than the almost $30K residual. My bet is that I can sell it for a little less than 40K. The disparity between the perceived depreciation and the market value will converge and become more predictable like a Lexus brand as the years go by. I remember a friend of mine who had leased a BMW 2002 at launch, and BMW had grossly miscalculated its residual. I think my friend actually drove the car for free for three years, because the market forces drove up the used car’s value. He ended making money when he eventually sold the car. I’m not saying that I’ll make money on this car, but I’m not being hosed either. I walked into a Toyota dealer to take a look at a ‘18 Sienna Limited, and they were asking $48K for it! A minivan! They also had a mark-up on a fully-optioned out Camry for almost $38K! Then, i went to a Lexus dealer next door. Their GS 350 F-Sport was approaching $60K. Yikes. I had a ‘15 GS 350 F-Sport, and it is no near the beast of my G90. I test drove the LS500 with MSRP of $100K. It was nice ride, bit the back seat area was a joke. I’m about six-feet tall and the top of my head was grazing the ceiling. I thought the whole point to the LS branding was luxurious comfort and refinement for its passengers. I couldn’t justify dropping close to $100K on a nonfunctional use of such vehicle. On the other hand, my wife and my kid was happy to be chauffeured around over the weekend trip watching their DVD’s and reclining their ventilated back seats. One of the downsides is the fact that it doesn’t support Apple or Android Auto. But, I only drive this car when hauling my family, so if I need some map direction, I ask my wife in the back seat to enter the navi direction from the back and send it to the front. That was cool.
And Audi is only a VW, Infiniti is just a Nissan etc, etc. The brand is designed/engineered by some of the best names in the business. Hyundai hired a top notch team to create their luxury brand. Manfred Fitzgerald formally of Lamborghini heads the team, Luc Donckerwolke (BMW, Bentley, Audi), Peter Schreyer (Audi), Albert Biermann (BMW M), Shag-yup Lee (Bentley), Alexander Selipanov (Bugatti) and Fayez Rahman (BMW).
I have a 2018 G90, purchased used with 25K on the odometer. I was looking for a car that harkened back to the days of my youth, when I had a 1970 Lincoln Continental (in 1977). The G90 fits the bill; a silky V8 engine, super quiet cabin, lots of creature comforts. As you said Alex, this is the car that Lincoln should have been building. Of course, the latest G90 models have more glitz & glam--and their prices are much higher as well. I am perfectly satisfied with my car, I appreciate how superbly comfortable it is, its generic good looks fit my personality, as I wanted something without too much ostentation. I bought the car for myself, not to show off in.
The real question is G90 vs K900, I'm leaning towards the K900 VIP and saving 5k, plus an actual dealer network, even though it's not from a "premium" brand. Of course, I left BMW for the last gen K900 and have been pretty happy, especially value wise compared to the current 5/7 series.
I have enjoyed and learned from both of your reviews of the Genesis G90. Thank you. Partly based on your reviews, I purchased a (2019) G90 recently and have already determined it to be the best car I have ever had!
I would buy the G90 above all .... But then I am Bias already owning two Genesis's already . I have already seen the 2020 G90 and I will wait for it so I can trade up from my G80 to G90
@@arig6646 The car is already on sale here in Korea. I love the changes they made! www.genesis.com/kr/en/luxury-sedan-genesis-g90.html Keep in mind this car is more expensive in Korea than the US.
Joke of the century, this is a fully loaded G90, have you seen all the features, materials and luxury available on a fully loaded LS? They can't be compared.
After driving a G90 extensively, I cant agree with your review more. For me, this is the luxury car to beat. Not only does it have the value quotient, but the simplicity of everything inside is so different than almost any other model. You mention the LS but the screen interface is sooo horrible, I could never consider one. Ive seen the facelift G90 and I cant believe that Genesis made it look even more impressive. I’m waiting for that model and hoping it doesn’t go up in price too much. Thanks for another great review.
I want this car. I don't know why. I've owned Mercedes, BMWs, Land Rovers and Porches and still I want this car. :-/ ...sucker for old-man full-size luxury.
I really appreciate this review. Seat comfort is so important to me now. I had an artificial disc placed in my neck and it makes driving difficult at times. I'm glad at this price point you can get highly adjustable seats
To me, value as a luxury only applies to 5-series level vehicles or below. For a full size luxury vehicle, I expect it to be built to the best of what a company can do. Not to a price point. I think most buyers in this segment see it that way as well. Since most people lease the car and lease definitely matter to some of those buyers. But I think a lot more people want the best vehicle in the segment and since they are leasing it, the S-class and LS may be more desirable
Not sure why you would get an S Class / Maybach, A8 or M7 if you can get the same thing for a much cheaper price with cars like the Genesis G90 and Kia K9000

Alex i have a suggestion ... can you consider including the weight & in-gear acceleration of vehicles along with 0-100... coz that gives us a better idea as to how the car behaves in normal driving conditions ....thank you
I'm older and prefer a soft ride but I can't afford that price tag. I guess there isn't anything more affordable for me. I thought Ford was going to stop making the Continental?
Ford _will_ but has not yet stopped producing the Conty. Get a Conty before they're done. They will be around for another year or so including back inventory. Fleets will snap up all of the black-on-black models. Other combinations will likely be plentiful.
Blake Swan completely agree. The k900 has newer tech, better interior design and a lower price. And based on Alex’s prior review, the k900 is also quieter.
It would be nice if when the car length graphic is shown, there was an actual low end, mid point and top end measurement in inches. I've seen some of these cars and based on the length and wide gap on this graphic versus what I've seen in real life, it doesn't seem to be so drastic. However, if I recall correctly, there's only about a 9 inch difference between the G80 and G90. Which means the top and low end may be separated by 12 inches. I can only speculate or google more than I want.
20k less than the Lexus... I'd pocket the savings or use it to purchase a complete other vehicle. Heck you can get a compact mainstream for the savings alone.
In the individual driving mode you can set the AWD system to Eco, Comfort and Sport. What is the difference in how the AWD works in each of these settings.
That’s a great move splitting the two companies. Now they need stand alone Genesis dealerships. They should benchmark Lexus dealership customer experience.
After to much seeking and reviewing we got a G90 and will see how it goes, got a sweet deal on black Friday. enjoy previously Jaguar XJ, Volvo S60, BMW 535 so I think for the price it's an upgrade at less price of those great cars!
I bought a 3 year old Equus 3 years ago for a song. It was still in the new car warranty and I bought the extended I have had no issues in the 3 years I have owned it....resale was horrible from new. 3-4 years old with 25-40K is a sweet spot on depreciation and leftover new car warranty coverage
No Apple CarPlay/Android Auto? Well, that tears it. I was all ready to go searching (probably in vain) for a Genesis dealer but come on, guys... Furthermore, while the value proposition of the G90 is compelling one does have to consider the overall cost of ownership. Free maintenance and other freebies are nice. But there is also the cost of hiring a chauffeur to consider. Especially one with his/her own uniform. Sadly I suppose I'm just not in the target demographic for the G90. The G70, on the other hand....
Lexus LS is a rolling piece of art it has a presence of its own, especially with the kiriko glass crystal in its interior sets it apart from rest of the European or korean luxury car competition. The Lexus LS is also vary good option in this luxury segment because it’s reliable and good resale value.
I loved Volvo S90 for its styling and refined audio option. But I was completely turned off when I saw a report: "Top 10 least reliable brands (2000-2017)." Volvo was #1 in the list. The least reliable brand among all. Bye Volvo for now.
I understand the reference to the g90 being a chauffeur's car but it doesnt really make sense at this point. We are talking about the 2019 genesis and they have been on sale outside that chauffeur's market for years. That being said, maybe I'll get one in 10 years when they are 10 grand.
They need to give the G80 a refresh. It’s the most abandoned out of the three sedans. We’ve been seeing that design since 2015 when it wasn’t a stand alone brand. Also Genesis needs to figure out their situation quick. California is an automotive gold mine. You’ll see all kinds of cars being driven. Not providing us their entries will hurt their sales
Alex.... dude.... Damn good job! I got far more out of this review than I ever expected. I'm not renewing my automobile magazine subscriptions. I'd rather give my subscription money to AoA ..... What? No Patreon or Paypal link???
It look more expensive here in Korea but it can be related with Korean tax system though. Backside of the car is really ugly but from the front it looks nice. There is not much changes about interior actually.
@@HBKiran i actually live in korea haha, i just wanted to watch him review the unit. They dont seem to get the latest model tho, the 2019 G70 didnt even had the 3D cluster
Perfect car. I would love to take it right away. But I live in Europe, Germany. No chance of a car like this here. In Germany they tried the Genesis for 2 years an took it of the market. Sad. I owned them. This car does not come to Germany at all. The Germans obviously must have the status of premium brands like Mercedes and Co. For the price of the G90 you have to add at least 40 to 50k plus for an S500 Mercedes. If you buy that, registrate it, drive 1 day, the price is 30k off. The G90 is a great price value for what you get. Nice design either. The 2020 will kill it. Top!
As boring as this might sound, but Genesis needs an SUV model to stay competitive... or even around. Three sedans with two of them being a few years old will not bite into much market share. Also, the dealer problem is going to give the brand an even slower start because of lack points of access to the brand for consumers. Very bold move by Hyundai.
The only ones selling sedans over 50K, in higher volumes, in the United States are the Germans Genesis needs a SUV/Crossover if they want a dealer network...none of their sedans are selling well in the US
@@cortezmiller1899 They are going to have to...they also need to present a "real" luxury car dealership experience to sell volume in the United States If you look at non German luxury cars( including Lexus)..its their SUV's/crossovers that are selling in volume Looking at Lexus...its only their ES sedan that is selling in high volume. The LS picked up this year...but still lags far behind the far more expensive S class in sales. The Lexus GS is gathering dust in the showrooms. Meanwhile the RX and NX are selling well . Meanwhile the Germans are selling thousand a month of the BMW 5 series and the Mercedes E class...at price points at the G90 level So..there are sedan buyers out there in the 55-65K range. They are just choosing the German vehicles almost all the time
@Louis Win The Germans seem to be the only ones that can sell an over $50K sedan in higher volume. Also the dealership experience is going to have to mirror what the other luxury car brands do in the United States I drive an Equus( purchased 3 years old) and my dealership buying experience was the worst I have ever had in my life
The interior of this car which is the fully loaded version is average in comparison to the fully loaded versions of its rivals but then again this tops out at 76k while a fully loaded 7 series is around 140k (not the m760li which is a v12) , a fully loaded s class s560 is around 150k, a fully loaded Lexus ls is over 120k. The Lexus the only car here that doesn't offer a V8.
Good car for the money. I DO NOT think its 90% of the way to an S class though There are literally a page of features available on the S glass that are not available on the G90 for any price...and if you don't want features then you are probably not an S class buyer anyway For the same money...they may be able to snag some E class and % series buyers away...but even those have features and customization not available on the G90 The G90 is a paradox...however I see 2017s selling for mid $40's with 15K miles so I think its going to be a great used car value like the Equus was
In your size comparison of luxury autos, how come the 2020 or 2019 RLX Sport Hybrid is not among them? Please do a video on it and you will include it among these offerings.
Because the RLX is a smaller car and only Acura die hards would buy it over it's competitors. It's a midsize car, more G80 size, no Android auto or Apple carplay. Dated design, front drive based platform. Only reason to buy it would be fuel economy.
It would interesting to what Acura do with the current Accord platform. They could craft a true LX550 / G90 / S90 competitor. Remember, the current RLX goes no more than 2 generations back.
I have to say I’m very disappointed with this 2019 G90. I have a 2017 G90, and there isn’t one thing different about this one compared to mine. I mean nothing. And to make matters worse, it still doesn’t have Apple Car Play! That is absolutely unacceptable. My 2017 Elantra has Apple Car Play. Every 2019 Hyundai comes with it. But the flagship vehicle doesn’t? Absurd! Other than that, I love the car. I’m very much looking forward to the 2020 G90. IT BETTER HAVE APPLE CAR PLAY! Using Waze on the cars big screen vs. my phone is a game changer. And these days, it’s all about Waze.
Unfortunately it has a slight disadvantage here in Oz - it's not actually available, with no immediate plans. 😡 As a chauffeur, the only car I'm *really* interested in (that's actually *available* here) is the BMW 6-GT - it has 7-series interior space, and a very good boot. (better than that POS G90, that's for sure). A large boot is *very* important.
S63 AMG is an amazing car. I wish I could afford to take care of it. The reality is most of us who are in the market for this segment have mortgages, kids and elderly parents. I’m looking for the most luxury for the best value. I wish I were in my 20’s so I can drive around in a Civic Type-R or something. I could probably toy around with a 1st-gen NSX, but it’s not about me anymore. My dream is to buy a house with a four-car garage, put in a couple of lifts and house a collection of cars of my dream: 1st-gen NSX (any color), LFA in ultra white, AMG GT-R in silver, and the 2020 Tesla Roadster. I would also like an Airstream camper.
No comparison to the K900... again. That's the real competition for this car. I'm thinking Hyundai/Kia is actually forbidding reviewers from the comparison because its just the same car for 10k less + android auto + digital dash

$29K in 3 years is a steal
Alex, you do such a fantastic job every time. We appreciate your effort.
How many miles on it now any repairs since
I;m very satisfied with my 2018 G90. Took a few road trips to see the colors I wanted but well worth the wait.
This interior is such a masterpiece. Absolutely stunning
I went for a ride in the new K9 (as we call it here) and I was blown away. It felt nicer than the 7 series.
I like your surname
I agree this is the proper comparison
Genesis is the new 90’s Lexus. I truly hope they will be successful because of the price range and of the design they are going for
I have enjoyed and learned from both of your reviews of the Genesis G90. Thank you. Partly based on your reviews, I purchased a (2019) G90 recently and have already determined it to be the best car I have ever had!
That is a beautiful interior. And yes, thank god for *analog gauges!*
Why analog. It's dated

Yess, 100% G90 over LS
Joke of the century, this is a fully loaded G90, have you seen all the features, materials and luxury available on a fully loaded LS? They can't be compared.
@@samsonokoro5036 but you could save around 30k by getting G90, almost similar level of comfort and luxury
@@mastertry1935 I'm sorry it isn't almost similar, the craftsmanship, luxury and tech is just way better on the LS
@@mastertry1935 you get what you pay for. With Lexus you get Toyota reliability. No matter how nice they make it look it's still a Hyundai.
As of 12/31, there are 21 states and 121 dealerships that have 2019 Genesis inventory.
Best ride for me was the Airport, Lincoln Towncar. Huge trunk too.
Saw it at the car show. It’s a beast.

I have a 2019 G70. Fantastic car and excellent value proposition. Won't be my last.
I really appreciate this review. Seat comfort is so important to me now. I had an artificial disc placed in my neck and it makes driving difficult at times. I'm glad at this price point you can get highly adjustable seats

You do a GREAT, thorough, comprehensive review. Appreciate that very much Sir. 💯👍🏼
Starting for the 2018 model year, you can get a 5.0 G80 with all wheel drive in the U.S.
I was so tempted by 2018 5.0AWD fully loaded under 50k. How can anything be better for 50k I have no idea.
The Cadillac CT 6 is hands down the best looking luxury car.
Great purpose to the video, Alex! You never fail to amaze me!
Not sure why you would get an S Class / Maybach, A8 or M7 if you can get the same thing for a much cheaper price with cars like the Genesis G90 and Kia K9000

You should look at the 2019 k900. Better interior. Almost same body but over 10k less.
Certified pre-owned could also be an option. Cars in this class depreciate quite a bit in the first three years.
The 'smaller' G80 is not as soft but ours is very comfortable on long trips; just a little stiffer suspension.
Chevrolet Impala has the best ride quality per $. Also good: Cadillac XTS, Lincoln Continental, Genesis G80, Chrysler 300, Ford Taurus
I'd get the more attractive and plush K900 if it was me. No Android Auto is bad in 2019. Kia did a better job in my opinion on the interior.
Blake Swan completely agree. The k900 has newer tech, better interior design and a lower price. And based on Alex’s prior review, the k900 is also quieter.
How about compared to the 2020 G90? Tech is fresh and so are the looks

The neglect of the front passenger seat shows that Genesis is not taking the US market very seriously yet.

I’ve hear it elsewhere that the sport mode puts 90% of the power to the rear wheels and the others is about 60%.
That’s a great move splitting the two companies. Now they need stand alone Genesis dealerships. They should benchmark Lexus dealership customer experience.

Is a used Equus a good bargain? Price depreciation is huge but my concern would be cost of ownership and availability of parts from non-dealerships
I bought a 3 year old Equus 3 years ago for a song. It was still in the new car warranty and I bought the extended
I have had no issues in the 3 years I have owned it....resale was horrible from new. 3-4 years old with 25-40K is a sweet spot on depreciation and leftover new car warranty coverage
Would like to know what you thought of all these cars in the reliability department?
Genesis has posted high reliability marks so expect this and the LS to be the most reliable
Very well done video, with great content, thank you sir.
Great report thanks 😊
No Apple CarPlay/Android Auto? Well, that tears it. I was all ready to go searching (probably in vain) for a Genesis dealer but come on, guys... Furthermore, while the value proposition of the G90 is compelling one does have to consider the overall cost of ownership. Free maintenance and other freebies are nice. But there is also the cost of hiring a chauffeur to consider. Especially one with his/her own uniform. Sadly I suppose I'm just not in the target demographic for the G90. The G70, on the other hand....

Who can I update the software? I have same car genesis G90 2018 and it’s have no apple CarPlay or android auto
All new G80 will be out this year and it looks super!

Top!
is the k900 not a direct competitor?
As boring as this might sound, but Genesis needs an SUV model to stay competitive... or even around. Three sedans with two of them being a few years old will not bite into much market share.
Also, the dealer problem is going to give the brand an even slower start because of lack points of access to the brand for consumers. Very bold move by Hyundai.
The only ones selling sedans over 50K, in higher volumes, in the United States are the Germans
Genesis needs a SUV/Crossover if they want a dealer network...none of their sedans are selling well in the US
They are coming out with several SUVs
@@cortezmiller1899
They are going to have to...they also need to present a "real" luxury car dealership experience to sell volume in the United States
If you look at non German luxury cars( including Lexus)..its their SUV's/crossovers that are selling in volume
Looking at Lexus...its only their ES sedan that is selling in high volume. The LS picked up this year...but still lags far behind the far more expensive S class in sales. The Lexus GS is gathering dust in the showrooms. Meanwhile the RX and NX are selling well
. Meanwhile the Germans are selling thousand a month of the BMW 5 series and the Mercedes E class...at price points at the G90 level
So..there are sedan buyers out there in the 55-65K range. They are just choosing the German vehicles almost all the time
@Louis Win
The Germans seem to be the only ones that can sell an over $50K sedan in higher volume. Also the dealership experience is going to have to mirror what the other luxury car brands do in the United States
I drive an Equus( purchased 3 years old) and my dealership buying experience was the worst I have ever had in my life
The interior of this car which is the fully loaded version is average in comparison to the fully loaded versions of its rivals but then again this tops out at 76k while a fully loaded 7 series is around 140k (not the m760li which is a v12) , a fully loaded s class s560 is around 150k, a fully loaded Lexus ls is over 120k. The Lexus the only car here that doesn't offer a V8.
Volvo S90 T8 AWD is killing it.
It's so silent, we can hear very clearly the voice of the man.
Maybe one day I can own one...
Good car for the money. I DO NOT think its 90% of the way to an S class though
There are literally a page of features available on the S glass that are not available on the G90 for any price...and if you don't want features then you are probably not an S class buyer anyway
For the same money...they may be able to snag some E class and % series buyers away...but even those have features and customization not available on the G90
The G90 is a paradox...however I see 2017s selling for mid $40's with 15K miles so I think its going to be a great used car value like the Equus was
Sorry, but I would rather get the new Pallisade (even the top most trim with all the options added would still be cheaper than this Genesis)
Anybody else notice the Volvo gang at 12:18? 😅

Absurd!

Yesterday a new G80 drove by my house. It still had the window sticker
Is luxury a value?
No, it's important however if you work in a sector where social image is important
"Is luxury a value?" -- If you are willing to pay for it, then yes, it is.
For 70 large, it is unforgivable to mot include apple car play or android auto. For this kind of money hyundai can update the software.
The 2020 has it
No comparison to the K900... again. That's the real competition for this car. I'm thinking Hyundai/Kia is actually forbidding reviewers from the comparison because its just the same car for 10k less + android auto + digital dash
Hal Peltonen also better interior design and based on Alex’s prior review, it’s also quieter than the g90. I would choose the k900.
