That's just it -- a "real" bass! Tim's last note is notable (pun intended) for both its pitch and its duration! And having Avi as a second bass was a special treat. Home Free is my favorite a cappella band, and I always enjoy sharing a reaction to one of their songs! Well done.
This song is done in a country reggae beat. It showcases the higher & lower ranges of both Tim Foust & Avi Kaplan. That last note of Tim is impressive with how low he goes, but more impressive is how long he sustains the note. On the "Sing Off Show" that Home Free won in 2013 Tim goes even lower on this song "Ring Of Fire" & he impressed the judges so much that they gave them a standing ovation. And Adam Rupp once again was stellar in his vocal percussion.
Another a cappella group to check out is Voiceplay. They do a lot of Disney songs and many other things. Their bass Geoff Castellucci is really good. He has some solo songs he’s done like “Monster Mash”. Voiceplay’s beat boxer works with Home Free on some of their songs. Helping them put it together. I love how these a cappella groups work together.
the secret: THICK vocal cords. Tim Foust has the fascinating feature of very thick vocal cords that can vibrate very slowly. However, he also can make them thin and go very high! He did once record a whole album where he is his own acapella group: just his voice. Check it out, it might be a good one for you! (the album title is "pieces of me")
Tim has one of the Deepest Basses….AND….he’s also a TENOR…..LOLOL…..he’s got a 5+ Octave Range….What a guy …. He’s the BoP ‼️‼️‼️😘… at their concerts….he Does make your butt Vibrate in your seats ‼️😳‼️… What a trip he is 👍❣️🔥🔥🔥‼️ And, talks Bass, too (he’s their spokesman)… &, a comedian as well…. What a guy💗💗💗💥🔥
This was really fun. It was the first time you guys have popped up on my feed. If you enjoy bass voices and acapella, you should check out Voiceplay. They are one of the top 3 acapella groups (Pentatonix & Home Free being the other two) and are my personal favorite, above even Pentatonix and Home Free. they are considered the Theater Kids of Acapella, and their bass, Geoff (Jeff), is amazing. He and the vocal percussionist take turns arranging the songs they release, and they are all incredible. I highly recommend you start with their cover of Nothing Else Matters, originally by Metallica or Valhalla Calling, originally by Miracle of Sound. The bass, Geoff, also has his own solo channel where he sings all the parts and uses light instrumentation. I think you should like his version of Fulsom Prison Blues or Man of Constant Sorrow but my favorite is his cover of Jack's Lament from The Nightmare Before Christmas. Hope to see some Voiceplay and Geoff on your channel.
Yeah Tim and Avi can bring it. Avi has a beautiful voice. That was Tim at the end. He can go really low and then sing up in the attic. How? I don’t know, I know that Tim has 5 octaves though. Talented guys. 😃🥰
Ring of Fire in a more modern, somewhat reggea-like version, but still respecting the original. Five years ago this was the first video I saw/heard from Home Free. I got there because I was listening to Pentatonix at the time and Avi was my favorite. Immediately there was something that drew me to Home Free. From then on I followed them and after I think 2 videos I was a real Home Fry. I hardly follow PTX anymore. Avi still does, because Avi Kaplan and Home Free let me feel music and not just hear it. Their great harmonies, the unbelievably good beatboxing/vocal percussion and of course that incredible deep bass that makes the ground vibrate and your speakers explode. Personally, I thought Avi fit better with Home Free than with PTX. But that's my opinion 😊
Neither of you have any clue about that last note so let me tell you because neither of you seem musical.. It was a G1 which by the way is ridiculous!!!

And the “Sing-Off” host said people were calling in to report a seismic event.
That last note from Tim is a F#1. He has a full 5 Octave Range. Avi has a great Bass voice which has a richer “resonance”. Thanks for the reaction.🎷
That is actually a G1. He did the F#1 in their song off performance but for the studio version they went up a half step in key
Love Home Free! They are the absolute best! Thanks for the Home Free reaction.
Tim not only hit that note....he sustained it.

Tim is a true bass/baritone/tenor; raw talent and skill !!!!
Great reaction, you two are starting to really grow on me! If you get time, react to HF's Brothers In Arms- I think the bass will really impress you!
#HOMEFREE......wow!

Sea Shanty medly has the most views by far.....
Sincere reaction.
I heard that it has to do with the length of your larynx/trachea. That's why tall people tend to have deeper voices.
Please react to voiceplay too
It s an another a capella group
Why you not react to voiceplay ????
I recommand you voiceplay Hoist the colors
