12:23 that’s just Haram’s voice, her vocal is so powerful even though that part is supposed to be an “all” you can only hear her voice pull through actually
I really loved billlie's debut, as you said yourself, it was what K-Pop was looking for. The girls are very beautiful, charismatic, talented and the music is a BOP! The whole mini album is great too, seriously thinking about being stan
I wasn’t sure what I felt when I first watched this MV but I know I FELT something. I straight up loved the visuals but the song itself was just so unexpected but it didn’t take long to completely fall in love with the song. I just couldn’t stop thinking about it! Mixing aside, I love the intensity and urgency of it, and how something just feels a bit unsettling and slightly creepy. Can’t wait to see what else Billlie does.
When I found this song I was totally hypotized by it. The music, this 2 tones repeating, building tension like crazy, and the strong beat had my head totally going places, what a trip. And I was totally hooked because It was such an estimulating song I mean... my head was totally like 200% active , like it inmediately triggered my brain. Its not perfect but boy is so fun to listen to and so addictive. On a side note PD, their main singer, Haram, totally looks like Arin from Oh My Girl to me, not sure if that is why it looks familiar to you, but I totally felt that Arin air when I saw her.
I listened to everything, there are no skips at all. I really like their vocals in Flowerld, but what really intrigued me the most are Ring X Ring and Everybody's Got a Secret
Im super invested in this group and admittedly I didn't enjoy the song on first listen. I gave it a couple of days, listened to it again and now I'm 100% in on this group. They could be anything.

PD, now that you've seen the MV, you should check out the cinematic teaser "films" they made for their lore - they are very beautifully shot. (There's a chapter one and two) But they're also very misleading to what the actual MV turned out to be. 😅
Check out their B sides, too! "Everybody's Got a Secret" was on repeat on my playlist for about a week. These ladies remind me a lot of f(x) musically. Can't wait to see what they put out in the future. Thanks for the reaction.
Saaaaame + Red Velvet, I look them up and theyre from Mystic Story, sub-label of SM so that explains, as an SM stan I'll be rooting for these girls success
You hit it right on the head, PD. This debut and MV grabbed me by my eyeballs and I could not look away on the day it dropped. I don't know what I was expecting but I am so glad Billlie decided to debut with Ring X Ring and I hope they build on this sound and style in the future. The mix of industrial, Nine Inch Nails type of beat combined with a lot of Major vocal harmonies is not something that I have heard before in Kpop and I really like it.
Obsessed with this debut. Their debut EP is incredible too! There's something for everyone on it. Everybody's Got a $ecret is INCREDIBLE to me, but I also love how heavy hitting Flipp!ng a Coin is
The beginning of this MV reminds me of the beginning of Attack on Titan when Eren is giving his "grim reminder" speech and everything is so still, just for it to be thrown into chaos.
It was kind of chilling to watch, like Squid Game kind of chilling. The mv and teasers and predebut short films, kind of remind me of Daughter's Youth, mixed with Nap of a Star mv. The lyrics are also very well written. I really enjoyed it, even though it took a couple of listens.
I’ve been binge-watching (technically rewatch thousand times) their mv and their album as a whole as it is such a unique sound in the kpop industry nowadays. It’s even funnier that just few days ago I was wishing that you could see their mv once and here you are!
I realized that only intellectuals really understand the genius of this song and video haha. A lot of people were comparing this to jpop, and they do have 2 Japanese members. The member Tsuki was actually in a jpop group! But I’m telling you PD that the album is SO good. Each song is so interesting and unique. And the album or some reason has far better mixing than the title track, I don’t really know what happened there. But I’ve had the album on repeat. And before this music video, they released two pre-debut “chapters” which will give you more context for the MV and they are hella cinematic, I think you’d really enjoy them!
f(x) came to mind as soon as I heard the unstable melodies. Just like in a song like "Red Light", where the chorus adds a ton of tension out of nowhere, in this song they use the tritonic tensions to get a stronger feeling of release in the next section. That's a very ballsy move in Kpop. I hope they stick to this style.
I mean, Mystic has also been managing Brown Eyed Girls for the past couple comebacks, haven’t they? At least since Brave New World and including Wonder Woman? (And for Ga In’s “Last Carnival” I believe? But I might be wrong). Billlie’s sound does kind of remind me of the sort of experimental stuff BEG have been putting out lately, so it’s good to see that they’ve opted to keep breaking the girl group concept barrier with their first home-grown girlband.
I don't claim to be a music production expert by any means and I could be completely off the mark on this one, but RING X RING is borderline a Christmas song in my mind, and this theme is kind of carried through the EP with songs like everybody's got a $ECRET. RING X RING not only in some areas uses portions of carol of the bells, but I think their chord progressions are directly influenced by the song as well, and I feel like that's what's giving it that warm nostalgic, almost sad feeling referenced in the video. This song makes me feel like that meme of that lady from the telenovela with all formulas and equations floating around her head... blows my mind.
Yessss to this. The Carol of the Bells sample baffled me when i first heard the song but now I'm into it. Still don't know why it's there exactly but it sounds great..is this the Die Hard of Christmas music?
Agree, this is unique. Girl group music isn't normally my thing, too cute for me, though very catchy. But this... it rocks! I listened to it out of curiosity and it caught my ear. Their vocals and harmony is strong, and now that I've seen the video, their presentation is more mature, which I appreciate. Will have to listen to other stuff.
YAAAY finally. When I watched this debut I was so shocked the first time, but then I became obsessed with the song and the talent of these girls. I also wish next comeback is as great as their debut.
When I first watched the video I also had this J-POP vibe. This has vibes from Morning Musume darker conceps, BiSh, and some Nogizaga46 videos. Cannot pinpoint what but it remembered me about this j-groups. For example that dance in dark studio with lights is very close to many Hello Project productions. And indeed that set has something from Time Warp from Perfume an Kyari Kyari Pamyu videos. Over all I like the song and that feeling that something hit you in the head and you don't realize what. Good debut.
Loved ring x ring, (ring by ring), they're really different from what you can usually hear in kpop and seeing the girls japanese level i hope their japanese debut will be soon !!! You should check out their lore videos and definitely read ring x ring lyrics, their story is so interesting !!! Thank you for reacting to our Billlie girls !!!
as soon as I saw the MV I thought OKAY WOW too many different elements, I need to see form of therapy react to this. I also felt some japanese vibes from it but at the same time it kept going away then coming back. this debut got me very intrigued
Their b-sides somehow really feel like for everyone. There are five songs, where sounds very different to each other but feel completed if listened altogether.
You have arrived to Billlie- I'm excited- They jumped into my top 10 ggs after this debut- That of course taking into account their concept and short-films (Chapter 1 and 2) and their dance skills... I love the concept- And the M/V actually is kind of the continuation of their first 2 Short-films so it's only natural it would be Short-film-like lol
Automatic love! I love love love it. I can't wait to see the listening party! They're so good. I've listened to it about 50 times already. New gg are absolutely murdering it!

I don't know if PD remembers or any of the carats, but Suhyun--my bias (the one with blue hair), appeared on Seventeen Vocal Team's Chocolate Music video. She acted in A-Teen, too. Ah im so glad you liked their debut, i agree with most of what you said, i'm absolutely in love and so excited for this group, the song left me shocked, when the first chorus came up i was like ??? but it grows so well and the verses are amazing, i also felt the strong jpop vibes and it's something that i really liked, plus the storyline that they seem to be working on looks super interesting. The rest of the album imo is just as amazing, my favorite being the 11th day, they really meant the thing about the bsides lol. Oh boy i'm hella late to this vid but wow Billlie takes the crown for my personal favourite debut this year (Purple Kiss held it for a long time lmao). Completely stunned by Moon Sua as expected (watched her in Unpretty Rapstar before) Haram and Suhyeon's vocals reeled me in big time. Unique tone from the rest of their peers. 100% would put them in the same class as Purple Kiss' Swan, JYPN's Lily (who is also debuting soon) LOONA's Kim Lip and (G)IDLE's Minnie.

Tsuki 19 yrs old (the one who got down on the floor and flipped up on the dancr break) She is a former SM Entertainment trainee known as Ravi. She participated in JYP 15th audition. An ex member of the j-pop girlgroup MAGICOUR. Siyoon 16 (the girl the camera followed when she went down) She attended Def Dance Academy and Millennium Dance Academy prior to becoming a trainee at Mystic Story. This makes so much sense!!
I love Billlie's story and concept, it's like a movie. I love experimental music and seeing it in kpop is extraordinary, I hope they don't change their style just because it's not a conventional sound.
This is the most original song I've heard in a while, not even in kpop just all around the world.
watching PD just discover more and more about Billlie is just PURE ENTERTAINMENT
but I really really like the sound of their debut song & agree about the mixing as well
been waiting on this one!!! their creative director is han jungsu, the head of GWSN's A&R team during their park in the night trilogy rollout. the girl that caught your eye is moon sua, the sister of astro's moonbin and a trainee for twelve years (ten of those were spent in YG's dungeon)
" i love this girl with the short black hair" 👀 the potential chokehold these siblings have on pd is insane hahhaha
😅😆😆
This has such "final girl" vibes, the horror sound (?), the eerie way that both the video and the music has caught me so off guard!!
their newest comeback song GingaMingayo is so catchy... i'm addicted
idk why, but this song made me feel the same way I felt when I first listened to Stayc's "So Bad"
i was thinking the same
i think it's because of the way chorus are emotional(?)
I'll tell you the album is a BOP. If you have the time, listen to it.
This!

@@10mushroom10head jingoo didnt even debut- 🤧😭
I listened to everything, there are no skips at all. I really like their vocals in Flowerld, but what really intrigued me the most are Ring X Ring and Everybody's Got a Secret
After STAYC, Billlie's album is one of the best rookie album
Im super invested in this group and admittedly I didn't enjoy the song on first listen. I gave it a couple of days, listened to it again and now I'm 100% in on this group. They could be anything.
Finally PD WAS WAITING FOR THIS thank you
🚫WARNING🚫
NO ONE SPOIL GIRLS PLANET 999 FOR PD, THEY ARE WATCHING IT ON PATREON AND THEY ARE ONLY ON EP 6! IYKYK
spoil about the winner's line up is it?
@@adrienarozali9143 that, and the recent news regarding Billlie and certain.. Lineup changes.
@@rockthekazb0t oooh thank you!
I mean the moment Billie has an OT7 comeback he will know...
@@NoxNovak trying to limit spoilers as much as possible is still worth doing. Besides PD managed to watch Treasure Box and I-land without remembering the final lineup DESPITE HAVING REACTED TO THE DEBUTS. 🤣
The lady with short black hair is Moon Sua, she trained for 12 years, she also joined Unpretty rapstar when she was 16 y/o. She is Astro's Moon Bin younger sister. Talent and charisma runs on their genes 😍
The mix of industrial, Nine Inch Nails type of beat combined with a lot of Major vocal harmonies is not something that I have heard before in Kpop and I really like it.
this is very orchestral in a way. and the vocals really are a red velvet esque serve.
I LOVE THIS SONG WTF ALSO DANCE BREAK WHY ARE THEY ALL SO TALENTED WTFFFF
i just know you're gonna LOVE this
Obsessed with this debut. Their debut EP is incredible too! There's something for everyone on it.
Everybody's Got a $ecret is INCREDIBLE to me, but I also love how heavy hitting Flipp!ng a Coin is
So trueee, they're album is legit unique and refreshing
The beginning of this MV reminds me of the beginning of Attack on Titan when Eren is giving his "grim reminder" speech and everything is so still, just for it to be thrown into chaos.
I love this song so much, all the sounds just pop my bussy
i hope your bussy is okay 🙏🙏📿🤲

It was kind of chilling to watch, like Squid Game kind of chilling. The mv and teasers and predebut short films, kind of remind me of Daughter's Youth, mixed with Nap of a Star mv. The lyrics are also very well written. I really enjoyed it, even though it took a couple of listens.
I’ve been binge-watching (technically rewatch thousand times) their mv and their album as a whole as it is such a unique sound in the kpop industry nowadays. It’s even funnier that just few days ago I was wishing that you could see their mv once and here you are!
now you HAVE TO react to gingamingayo! it will blow your mind. and tsuki’s fancam is life changing.
Usually not the biggest fan of experimental Songs like this but this one is growing on me
The girl in short black hair is Moon Sua, Moonbin’s sister so it’s not surprising that you also like her hahaha
Your face from the intro to the first is very relatable lol. At first I was confused like what how did it go to chorus already??
Dude, I was waiting for this reaction. I absolutely love everything about it.
🚫DO NOT SPOIL!!!🚫
If you know about the latest news regarding this group, please don’t spoil it because PD is not done with GP999!
up
wait wdym not done with gp999?
@@val7450 He’s not done watching the series

@@brin879 Sorry what.. I watch gp999 with PD on Patreon so I know where he’s stopped. I just wrote this because I saw someone comment about a spoiler.
Good debut.
ive heard of all of those groups, but ive never listened to much jpop - what songs in particular give you the same vibes???
this is my favorite debut
I've been anticipating this reaction, thanks for such commentary!!
*UNORTHODOX* is one word I can use, to describe this debut song
Oooo great word!
Their b-sides somehow really feel like for everyone. There are five songs, where sounds very different to each other but feel completed if listened altogether.
The 'time to go to church' comment really got me...😂😂😂
Reyna... found you... the one that got me is "HUH THIS GROUP IS FROM MYSTIC STORY"
The "time to go to church" at the end took me by surprise lmaoo
This is my favorite debut track of the year. Glad you see the genius of it 🤗
prophetic words in your initial reaction, man. awesome to see how Billlie DID IN FACT take off. killin it in 2024 and still growing!
You have arrived to Billlie-
I'm excited- They jumped into my top 10 ggs after this debut- That of course taking into account their concept and short-films (Chapter 1 and 2) and their dance skills...
I love the concept-
And the M/V actually is kind of the continuation of their first 2 Short-films so it's only natural it would be Short-film-like lol
13:47 oh my GOD my exact first thought was Perfume when i first saw that set. it's very Time Warp
Automatic love! I love love love it. I can't wait to see the listening party! They're so good. I've listened to it about 50 times already. New gg are absolutely murdering it!
The girl with the short black hair that you pointed out is Moon Sua, the younger sister of ASTRO's Moon Bin! She trained under YG for nearly 10 years before moving to MYSTIC Story sometime in 2019. She also competed on Unpretty Rapstar in 2015, and finished fourth place overall.
They are so different from the rest! I love and Stan them already!
YESSSS THEY'RE AMAZING
I don't know if PD remembers or any of the carats, but Suhyun--my bias (the one with blue hair), appeared on Seventeen Vocal Team's Chocolate Music video. She acted in A-Teen, too. Also, she competed in MIXNINE and Produce 101. Even if they just debuted, I am already stanning her because of her commitment to her dreams. 💓✨
I LOVE YOU PD!!! They're so truly talented and drip charisma!! I've been watching all of their videos and I need more!!
YESS I GET THE EMOTIONAL PART IDK WHY BUT THIS SONG JUST STIRS UP AN EMOTION IN ME AND I EVEN ADDED IT TO MY LIKE "SAD" PLAYLIST EVEN THO IT SOUNDS NOTHING LIKE THE OTHER SONGS 😭
i hope you also react to their bsides~

i personally liked everybody's got a secret so much!
also, the one in the bob hair is moonsua (astro moonbin's sister) she trained for 12 years >< the one with the blue hair is suhyeon, she was yeo boram in ateen and she joined mixnine and pd101, the one who started the song is siyoon! the one who sings the 2nd verse is haram, one of the main vocals in the group. the one who did the dance break is tsuki, and the one with the black hair and bangs is haruna. her and tsuki are both japanese!
positions :
moonsua - main rapper, lead vocal
suhyeon - main vocal, lead dancer
haram - main vocal, sub dancer
tsuki - main dancer, sub vocal
siyoon - main rapper, lead dancer
haruna - maknae, sub vocal, sub dancer
Ah im so glad you liked their debut, i agree with most of what you said, i'm absolutely in love and so excited for this group, the song left me shocked, when the first chorus came up i was like ??? but it grows so well and the verses are amazing, i also felt the strong jpop vibes and it's something that i really liked, plus the storyline that they seem to be working on looks super interesting. The rest of the album imo is just as amazing, my favorite being the 11th day, they really meant the thing about the bsides lol. And as you said im really looking forward to their future comebacks hoping that they stay on a similar lane cause this type of experimental music and concept feels so refreshing to kpop
The way Billlie is slept on is criminal. Its nice to see someone appreciating them.
OH MY GOSH YOU FINALLY REACTED TO BILLLIE ~
I laughed so hard when PD is surprised about Mystic Story. I was like "IKR" hahaha
The sons vibe really sounds like a jpop to me. Interesting and looking forward to see them again for sure!
I like it because billlie remind me so much of sunny hill and i pleasantly suprised when discover that their album also produced by the same pd that create sunny hill song also beg abracadabra , sixth sense and IU red shoes
Pd... comeback is here... hope you watch the 11min. video trailer for the comeback MV it will a bridge to Ring x Ring its a smooth continuation...
they debuted with a 6 track mini album and it is just as experimental and varied as the title track.
Absolutely obsessed with this debut and the whole album is so good and definitely a fresh wave in k-pop.
Yes, it's definitely a must to listen to their album. It has 6 songs including RXR. If they have time, please watch their concept teaser too, Bi11lie Chapter 1 and 2 Billlie have some kind of lore that they might find interesting
AH YES. THE REACTION I WAS WAITING FOR. 😍🖤
this song reminds me a lot of rina sawayama, i can see them having a song similar to paradisin and whatnot
their besides are amazing
finally Billlie
I know PD I friggin love that girl too. Moon Sua 22 years old Swag and Charisma but she can "Switch It Up" you will know what i mean by that once you see more of her in interviews variety music shows and such. Matter of fact the duality in this group all of them. More info on the other girls. Kim Suhyeon 21 yrs old (the blue haired one) She was a contestant on Produce 101 season 1, but was eliminated ep. 5 and ranked #69. She also participated in MIXNINE and was eliminated in the final episode. She played Yeo Boram in the webdrama A-teen. Haram 20 yrs old (the one you said OHH VOCALS) She won SM’s ‘Everysing’ contest and received vocal training from them, then was moved to the subsidary label (Mystic Story).
She was featured in various TV performances and dancing videos. She appeared in BOYFRIEND’s ‘Love Style’ MV teaser (her audition). Haruna 15 yrs old (the girl with long black hair and a bangs) She joined Mystic Story Entertainment in 2021. She was from GPstudio dance academy.
i thought i was the only one who felt like ring x ring was SOOOOO japanese? in a good way, and i'm not even really into jpop tbh. obsessed with this debut!!
Yes I so agree with Jpop thing!! The very first thing I thought is that this would have a really good Japanese version! I loved this song so much and I'm excited to see how they'll move forward as 7 now! Thank you for reacting to them 😆😆
I’m really excited for this group like from their pre-debut and debut in which was sooooo SURPRISING and and to their future. The girls have so much training and them under mystic story will give them good support.
