Thanks for nice information. I have a Bencher and I'm happy with it. I was just wondering if you could make a video with som advice on how to increase sending speed. I'm struggling about 25 wpm. Or is it a matter of practice and practice?
Thanks for a very informative view of iambic paddles. I noticed you don't recommend Bencher paddles because they are too light and tend to move around in use. Is that true for all Bencher models? According to the specs on the DX Engineering site, the Bencher BY-1B and Vibroplex Iambic-D are both 3 lbs. Is there a minimum weight you recommend?
I loved the Bug key, I had the Original. The Bug is a good key in both looks and operation but not as a beginner key. The bug is bad sending at 20 wpm and any speed less than 20 it's horrible (IMO), as the dits can not be adjusted downward, to be slower than 23 or 24wpm. The Bug has an attachment to slow down the speed to 10 or 13 wpm? I hate to say it, the Bug is a Nostalgia key in that it takes a little effort to learn how to use, as it is not a out of the box, hook up and use key. and there are more reason not to buy one then there is, when compared to paddle keys. Back when I got mine, there were no built in rigs with electronic keyers.
@@Hamlocks Mine too. Easily 3 lbs. But I bought it 45 years ago.. I suppose they could have changed. "You will drop out of my class". Throngs of Bencher ops, falling over the cliff into CW oblivion... Oh no.....

Kent Keys are now made in Germany.

Bencher keys are not heavily weighted? Huh? What?

Wow! Nice sexist opening.
Probably every person that registered was a Gentleman. If there were no Females in that class it would have been inaccurate use something else
