Great video as always! The whole time I was wondering why not use the geometry pattern methods, but your explanation in the end makes kind of sense! 🙂Keep up this great content!
Forgot to add one more reason, since those rattan weaves are very long, you would have a hard time making one continues texture on each weave, because technically it's all made out of small patterns that are their own world by itself, don't think that pattern can understand that an object next to it is continuation if that makes sense
Can anyone explain this, as a beginner this is not working for me and some of the modifiers are not there in my max like tyselect, would really appreciate the help.
This was very informative , thanks for sharing , as an architect i did not have any project to model a rattan , but i will try to apply this method soon .
First thing first i wanna say thanks for making this tutorial and i wanna ask..i do the same way like in the video, but when part come to the "pick object at scene".. My object size still in same size. It doesnt scale up, can you help to elaborate me what wrong. Hope you find this comment. And sorry for my bad English. Thank you
make sure to Reset XForm after scaling your UV objects, by re-watching that part again, I think I've accidentally cut-out that part out lol. Hope this works now
This is an Amazing Technique, although when I pick an object from Scene in Morpher Modifier, it doesn't change the scale like what you showed in your video , actually it does nothing in my case. what could be wrong here? any thoughts?
@@RenderRam Absolutely, I already did the Xform Reset. after that it worked, I had to use xform reset for tyselect also on both objects. my model turned out very nice ! Thanks to you ! ❤
hello, I'm stuck at 8:20, where apply tySelect for rattan panel. I did all steps like in this tutorial but there was no mesh selected. could you tell me what the problem is? I'm using tyFlow free version
@@RenderRam Great video, thanks! But about Unwrap - it's very difficult to separate the shell like in your video when there are so many pieces of rattan

That’s the part I forgot to mention in the video, reset xform on your new object
I have followed your tutorial, but at 7.25 when I want to follow the actual scale, it doesn't work.

so fine, practical and beautiful method! thank you so much!❤
Great tutorial. I assume this can be also used with MCG knit script for 3ds max
Yes, practically any pattern, doesn't need to be fabric.
Insane! Thank you for the videos! I learn a lot every time. Keep them coming.
Nice technique, very straightforward and no seam issues :)
VERY well explained, thank you a lot for all effort!
Thanks for sharing! What is the Rattan texture did you use?
It’s just a random floor plank, but got it in 20k res
Thank you! This is insane :)

Part that I somehow cut out of the video is adding xform after scaling, then the scale changes, hope this helps

Great video! Can you recommend other alternatives to TySelect to project your selection?

Insane! it looks good and easy to use. can i ask how to download UV to mesh?
Thank you! Link for UVtoMesh is in the video description
@@RenderRam Thanks! I already have the UVtoMesh plugin. I have concern also why my 3ds max don't have a tieselect modifier?
@@JomarAcasio TySelect comes with TyFlow plugin, just type TyFlow on google and you'll find it instantly
@@RenderRam Thank you so much for this information sir.
@@RenderRam Hi sir! I have another question sir. why it didn't work when I resize my object with morpher modifier just like in 7:18
