''Update On Chelsie~Since removing the blood clot in her brain after having the LVAD surgery, we are just waiting to see what happens next. At this point, Chelsie's brain is swelling on the left side. The last we heard, about midnight, was that the neurological team was trying to determine the best approach to deal with the swelling. It can either be treated with medication or remove a piece of her skull to allow the space for the swelling of her brain. Last we heard they were treating with meds for now. She also has a blood clot behind her right knee but there is blood flow to her lower leg and foot so the focus is now on the brain as blood thinners is the normal path taken to treat blood clots but she can't take them due to her heart pump and that it could risk more damage somewhere else. They continue to do CT scans at regular intervals to assess damage (swelling, bleeding, etc) to the brain. She is no longer sedated but isn't waking up. She does withdraw to pain in her extremities and her left leg has had spontaneous movement. We've already been told that the initial blood clot caused severe damage to her brain. We don't know the outcome or what her life will be like but we ask for continued~! prayer for miracles for her to live a functioning adult life. We may not know what life will be like for her for possibly 5 days.Thank you! 😭😓
Lots of prayers and love! Continue to have faith. Prayers work!!❤
Praying for healing ♥️🙏
@berthabyrd6898 Sending up prayers for your Chelsie, you, and your family.
@@DS-rl6sp Thank you
@@DS-rl6sp Thank you so very much, prayers absolutely do work.
🦋🦋🦋🦋 Kelly, you don't know me from Adam, but I'm a long-time subscriber of your channel and am not much of a commenter, but I wanted you to know how proud I am of you. I'm a 66 y/o widow and manage my own homestead. Even at my age, my body feeling "old" many times and not always cooperates with what I want it to do, but my heart and mind still feel like I'm young and energetic which keeps me productive and motivated. I see all the ways that you're growing and spreading your wings as a Mama, as a Woman, and as the Head of Your Household. Adding self-sustainability into your goals by setting up a working food garden is so admirable and your do your children a GREAT service by doing so. Your videos are so much fun to watch and I pray you make them for a long, long time. Take good care, God bless you, your children, your Mama, and extended family. I won't comment much, but I'll always send you love and Butterflies 🦋🦋🦋🦋.

🤍🤍🤍 thank you so much 🥹
@@KellysKorner08Hi Kelly ! Not sure if anyone has mentioned this yet but one thing you can do to help your
PEPPER PLANTS & TOMATOES TOMATO PLANTS is to sprinkle used coffee grounds and crushed egg shells around each of those plants (you want to use about 2-3 tablespoons of coffee and about the same of egg shells ) I crush the shells and then make them as small as I can get them with a food processor but they do get dusty when you empty them out of the processor .... The grounds and shells will give them nutrients and make the soil a little acidic for them ! Also they will help detour slugs and other types of pests as well !
You can also sprinkle FOOD GRADE DE (diatomaceous earth) but make sure it's FOOD grade ) it will also help with different garden pests but be careful it is dusty ... You want to apply around each plant and about 3 tablespoons and if it rains just reapply it ... Hope this helps
Put the clothesline close to the house. That way you can bring clothes in fast if it starts to rain. Otherwise, they will be wet before you get them back inside. Peppers need to be separated so they have room to grow. Maybe plant some marigolds to repel insects from the plants. It's good you are teaching your children gardening. I learned from watching my dad when I was young. 😊
Hi Kelly, if you haven’t already, I would separate the peppers. As they grow, they may crowd and kill each other out. But other than that, you did wonderful. Water in the evening as the sun is going down to keep your plants from burning. Love your videos, you are a wonderful inspiration.🦋🦋🦋
Agree separate them. They will get bigger and need a little bit more room.
Yes. Separate them. We normally put one plant 6-8 inches apart. They have always done well. 😊 🦋
As usual love your video!! You're a great inspiration . Separate your bell peppers they will need some room to grow. Also you didn't say if your cucumbers were regular vine or bush if a vine maybe put a trellis so the can climb up it. 🦋🦋🦋🦋
when preparing your soil for next year, get some chicken or horse manure to add to the soil. It will do it wonders. Also avoid planting tomatoes in the same soil the next year. This will help illinate neotodes. Yes space out your peppers a bit more and also it looked like you had a lot of zuchini plants, those will grow quite large and will need to be spaced out also, in fact two will be quite large bushes by the time they mature.
🦋. Spread your peppers out and you will get a bigger yield
Kelly, you do need to space your pepper plants out individually. Also, you do know you need to cement your clothes line poles in, right? Looks like you & the kids are having fun plus learning! 🦋🦋🦋
The tomatoes will need to be staked as the grow. You are a great inspiration
You need to give them a good watering at first! As the sun is going down
🦋🦋🦋
The cucumbers and zucchini need a lot of space unless you have a trellis for them to climb.
I’m in Florida and gardening here is so different than in PA and IN where we have lived. I look on line for a lot of info for gardening in my area.
The tomatoes and bell peppers will need tomato cages. The peppers should be separated. They can grow pretty tall and need the support. Strawberries like to have room. They will make new shoots and spread out. Don't be upset if y'all don't get any strawberries the first year. Zucchini get pretty big. Might want to order a tub just for them. Hope this helps!! 🦋💜 I forgot about the cucumbers. They will need something to grow on. At least this is how we grow our veggies. Hope this helps!!
God is good all the time
Love the garden beds, yes separate the peppers, they will get too crowded all together like that .
As always I loved the video. ❤🦋
Kelly , you need to separate your pepper plants, when you buy plants in the 6 packs, each individual one is its own plant, they will each get big and bear peppers, they will need room, I would suggest at least 6 inches apart, also for future planting, anything that vines or will have vines, need to be planted away from other plants because they will vine and take over, possibly smothering out your other plants, your tomato plants need to be spaced also they will get big!
Also, you should probably pot your herbs, they need to be on their own and may not flourish in the constant heat of the sun
I loved seeing the kids help you. Before we moved to Florida, I had two garden beds at our house and my girls absolutely loved going to water the plants and harvest the fruit and veggies.
Kelly, you are doing a great job! Keep it up, Mama! 🦋🦋🦋
Thank you so much!
I can’t wait to see what your gardens smell like 🥹
So glad the kids love the gardening, it's going to be amazing when they can actually pick what they grow. Yeah the plants need more room, they will get big and need it. Love seeing all the dogs. 🦋🦋
Gardening will be a wonderful activity for the whole family! I’ve been thinking about doing a garden as well 🦋
Your overalls and hat are cute! I have a sun hat from Amazon I wear every summer. I love it. So excited to see your raised gardens florish! The storage basket for spare sheets is a good idea!
🦋
Congratulations on the garden. You and the kidos did a great job. Sending good vibes so all can grow healthy and delicious. Take Care 🦋
🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋
The raised beds look so nice ….Yes, you did over crowd the peppers. They should be separated.
You looked so cute in your overalls and str a hat! Good luck with your garden. Hopefully it will give you some delicious veggies
this summer. 🦋🦋🦋🦋❤️❤️
Praying for you and your family
I would spread out some the bell peppers.
I would love to try a little garden too! I’m think of doing more flowers too I typically kill plants so it’s hard lol 😂 thanks for sharing 🦋
The garden is going to be cool. Great video. 🦋
I never comment…. Like never… but I really enjoy your content! You inspire me😊
Yay I’m so glad! 🤍
You need to space your bell pepper plants. 💞🦋
Hey Kelly!! Love the raised garden idea. Great video 🦋🦋🦋
Good morning to you all 😊 it's a beautiful day here in Lancaster Pennsylvania. Feeling blessed and gratitude for everything
Put you
r peppers in pots, you are really to crowded Tomatoes need a place of their own they will get big and the zucchini will also get really big, use pots for your herbs.
🦋🦋🦋🦋I can’t wait to see how the garden comes along!
I loved the raided beds, I want to do that.❤🦋🦋
Hi Kelly, a little tip - the pretty side of the flat sheet should be face down on the mattress, so when you turn the bed down, all you see is the pretty - if that makes sense:-)
Spread them father apart they don’t have room to grow!!Great job!!
🦋🦋🦋🦋
I'm sure someone already said this- but determinate tomatoes won't grow as huge as indeterminate tomatoes. So you probably got what you wanted for your beds. 😊
Yes seperate the pepper plants and put them in pots instead!! I would just put the tomatoes in one bed and the zuchini in the other so it will not take.over the other things that are planted with it!!! Also I would put the herbs in pots!!
🦋🦋 Love watching you make your house into such a cute home ❤
Love the raised beds Kelly. Should separate the peppers. I keep my checking the same way. Have a great week. 🦋
In a different video, the mudroom refresh, you ask what to do with breaker box cover, paint it to match your wall. That is how I camouflaged mine
I use the same checkbook app. I love it and have never had any issues with it. 🦋
Looks great! You may need something to keep the tomatoes up as they grow. They will get too heavy at the top. Lowe’s has all kinds of stakes for that
🦋 I loved this so much! Thank you for the gardening inspiration it really helped me!
Hi Kelly love all the gardening and home making🦋
Only catching up on your videos now 🤗 Been far too long. Can't seem to keep up the pace of life 😂 I would love to plant some veggies etc but I don't have green fingers. Hope your beds are going well .
Spaces between each plant you put in it will tell you on the labor how much sun , water or shade buy support sticks you need some fertilizer to give them help to grow don’t forget to water every day x
I love how the kids were so involved in the making of the garden👏👏 It will be great to see their reaction everytime something pops up and their curiosity will just expand👍 You are such a great mama and I know the kids already know that! Keep doung the fantastic job you're doing and remember to take time for yourself as well! Have a wonderfully blessed week❤️🙏🦋
Hi can you get one of the rolls of metal strips to put over the other sink I’ve seen them on other videos then put your drainer for your pots to stack on saves all your towels and stops the worktop from been wet each time you do the pots and you can use any sink x
So lovely to see you doing the growing garden with the children Kelly . I was brought up with my parents growing their own food potato’s , peas , beans , lettuce, tomatoes, radishes, onions, carrots as well as the fruit trees. I loved helping and learning, and watching your children doing exactly what I had enjoyed doing all those years ago warmed my heart and brought back so many happy memories.Have a wonderful week ❤🦋🦋🦋🦋
Yes separate the bell peppers. You are doing great 👍🏽
You have over crowd the pepper the squash and cucumber if you watch garden answer for gardening you can learn a lot also I pot my chives in there own pot but great job with trying it out
cool🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋
🦋
It brings tears to my eyes how far you have come. God has his hand on you and you have been so blessed. You are a literal super mom doing everything you do. Just felt guided to tell you how proud you should be of yourself. Much love to you and your family Kelly! 🦋
Butterfly 🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋
Garden looks great but I would separate out the peppers. Also watch the zucchini and cucumber they vine and will take over everything. I plant them every year and they also vine over to my other flower bed. There are great ideas on the internet about ways to make things for them to vine on.
🦋 🦋 🦋 HI Kelly, love everything, the garden the outfit, but just to let you know if you keep the green bell peppers on the plant for a long enough time they turn red, And give them the sweeter flavor.
🦋I appreciate you sharing your life journey with us. I wish you much success with your garden.
We spread out the bell peppers when I plant them. But I do live on a farm and I put them in a field
Thank You For Another Great Video. I Have Been Watching Your Channel From Day One I Think 🤔 I Am So Happy For Your Success 😊 Sending Love 💞 And Butterflies 🦋🦋
I learned from my husband that when planting flowers or plants, it’s best to mix organic matter (the pine straw) with part of the soil, water THOROUGHLY, then add the rest of the soil. Putting lots of water at the bottom encourages the roots to go deep. Also, a layer of mulch over the soil (or pine straw if you have lots of that) will cut down on weeds and protect the plants from the heat.
As another older subscriber said, I love your videos! I don’t comment much either but enjoy watching you make a home and build a life for you and your children. You also motivate me to clean my home and make it cozy!😁🩷🦋
Save cardboard when you pull up the plants you have weed killer on scrape as much of them out the soil lay cardboard down compost all the area then seed the grass around the area or place turf
I grew up on a farm, you will need to spread your zucchini, or any vine type plants. They will take over your planters. Your tomato plants will eventually need some stakes to keep them up off the soil. Your property reminds me of my home. The Internet has so many videos on organic gardening. Have a great week Kelly 🦋😊! I love that basket you received, loving the fact it comes with two liners. Do you know where it was purchased.
I think you picked the best spot for the clothes line, cause if it's near the trees, you gotta be aware of the critters and birds. They will definitely try to be on it!
I gotta ask...did you hang your camera on your light for that one shot of the kitchen? Haha, it looked like it, it was a good idea if you did, cool shot !! 😁
🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋
🦋
Peet moss on top after plants are in will retain water for those hot summer drought days.
Egg shells are good to sprinkle on dirt of your raised beds.....
your cucumbers are gonna vine out so they will need alot of room to grow least ours did anyways as for the ones that came six to a container yes they should have been spread out as well.
🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋
Love you, the kids and Ellie outside! My son LOVED to growing up! Hes now a horticulturist! Suggestions: grab some graduated sized pots, stack them and plant the herbs and strawberries in them. Separate the pepper and tomato plants (from the clumps) and stake each plant. They need root room. Loosen the soil around the roots as you replant them. In the other planter, make tents of 2 long stakes & have the boys put them together with gardening wire. Then plant the cukes and zucchini by placing one at the base of each stake.❤ This will allow them to vine the stakes and and have room to grow. The kids will love watching them climb and it keeps the fruit/veggie off of the dirt!🦋🦋🦋
Great story about your son.😊
🦋Love the garden🦋
🦋 🦋 🦋 thanks for the video
🦋 🦋 🦋 🦋
Live the shorts!!

Another great video Kelly.❤🦋
We have a small garden too... It's a great idea with food prices so high 😁❤️
🦋🦋🦋🦋you are such a wonderful person and a good momma
🦋❤️🦋❤️🦋
Can't wait to see your garden goes.
Exciting time for a garden. Tomatoes grow better with basil around them and basil helps with bug prevention. Just Google "vegetable and herb planting pairing." As i say this know that i am not a green thumb, every year i try to garden but i forget to water them so it's a fail. 👎🏼 Maybe this can be a project for school and they can get credit for it? My son was trying to get his gardening badge in Boy Scouts but he ended up leaving Boy Scouts. Have you thought about that for the boys?
Blessings from Texas 🙏🏼 💐
