Awesome content, would love to see a video detailing how crosshair shape/size influences aim! One argument for bigger crosshairs is it encourages more intuitive aiming like you commented on which may be preferable in a competition setting where you're trying to get in flow and not overthink aiming vs. in a training scenario. Would love to hear your thoughts on the matter
Sure! It's something I picked up from a different aim coach Titan0s, but the idea is that in a game scenario a crosshair too small is ideal for visually confirming a shot, but may encourage slower aim / difficulty tracking the crosshair during fast flicks like you might need to hit in a TAF scenario. Bigger crosshairs (within reason) may be less accurate but may encourage speed/confidence in flicks because it's easier to feel like you're on target. I guess in game you wanna be accurate but not too slow, and that someone's personal preference in crosshair may vary depending on how the crosshair shape / size influences those. For example, for me at D3, when I play a dot crosshair in Valorant I feel the need to visually confirm my shot and often lose duels because I'm thinking much more about aim, but when I use something like 1523 I tend to struggle at the longest ranges but perform better during mid range fights because I let my muscle memory take over rather than overthink being perfectly on target. That combined with strafing tends to yield me better overall results, and I tend to take less fights >30m with a larger crosshair. Would love to hear your thoughts on it!
Hi, what does the term "dynamic" mean at the end of the video near 9:15 ? I'm a newbie and I seem to have the same issue as this, of over-flicking almost every time. I'm trying to smoothen my aim but it's either getting too slow or too fast. Any tips for me? Exceptionally detailed educational videos which are helping me get better at aiming!
I play tf2 but felt like I started to plateau my aim. I ended up switching my sens drastically (2.1 csgo-3.3 csgo/tf2) And in just one day it feels like my aim is just as good even though wrist aiming was my weakest point of aiming. All I did for aim training was thing long strafes for 5 minutes and deathmatching 1v1s. I always had a stigma around changing a sens but doing this made it feel natural. Why did this go so well?
What is that vod review software???? I started coaching myself and that seems so helpful being able to leave timestamped notes other software I’ve tried is just straight up doo doo
@@WestProter ahh I see now is there any software that you would recommend? I tried insights and it was poo poo neither me or the person I’m training could get a video to upload
Same; I’ve found that both Sini click and counterstrafing floating heads helps a lot with it (one is predictable and for speed, the other is unpredictable for accuracy). WPV multipeek is great for both dynamic clicking and for feeling like you can’t aim, if you don’t cheese it.
because he's a low sens player he uses mostly his whole arm to aim, instead of his wrist or fingers, so it's rather difficult to micro adjust with your arm instead of your fingers. But in this case he implies that despite being a low sens player he's still able to use his fingers to aim, he just needs to train them properly.
its just using fingers to aim more. the routines are just regular ones but instead of using arm/wrist/shoulder you focus on trying to use fingers more usually with a faster sens like 25cm or faster

Can you explain the intuitive big crosshair thing a bit

Hey man - what is the video / comment page you are using for this? Looks helpful!

If you overflick a lot learn how to deadzone, watch woohoojins video on it

Because it’s just a number. You took a bit to see how input changed and reapplied previously learned skills to the new sens

It's built into metafy. Not sure if you can use it if you're not a coach

Awesome video! will we see a video on your next session? I struggle greatly with dynamic and learning it has been a bigger struggle

@@AkrozeSmash Awesome man, I'll check those out! Thank you!
I really don’t know what will come of the next session with this student.
What does he mean with finger motions + finger motion routines (first time hearing about it)

Just making a routine to work on actually moving your fingers
Just realized the intro had my Vod lol
Missed that, told my editor to pull clips not from your vod. Sadge
@@WestProter It’s totally fine. I don’t care if you use my vods or not; I just thought it was neat
very cool
West is best
Osu! is the best aim trainer and the best competitive game where have to fight to ourselft to improve :v
theres no reason not to use accel with a sens like that right
I’d need to see the guy use his whole mousepad
