      A few places here, don't charge for tv's and some electronics. There is a special shipping container they are put in, no charge.
      Not sure which country they go to, or ...?

    Hand stripping wire is not an easy task, but to me it's worth it as I melt down and hoard all my copper. Appreciate the prayer at the end, all prayers are needed 🙏

      I have some plastic coated copper wire as thick as my thumb,I don't have a wire stripper. What's the easiest way to get that hard coating off?

    Another trick I like to use for 14gauge and smaller use a cuticle knife (womens nail kits have them) and run it along only works with single strand copper tho if it’s hair wire or solid multi it tends to get tangled.. god bless

    Great video brother. Found out a few days ago that my scrap yard calls coax and Christmas lights trash. Also the prices are very low here...still. Coated copper wire is 20 cents a pound. God bless you

      Yeah coax usually has a copper coated steel core, so I just toss them in the shred.
      I’m surprised about the Christmas lights since there is copper and brass in the light sockets.

    I have made a board with two screws close enough to feed wires through . 1st set of screws is to guide the cable the second is to direct the wire into 3rd set of screws where there c I feed the wire through and place the blade onto of screws it cuts the through the wire caseing it takes me seconds to strop wires . There is 6 set I have made for the different sized wires to be fed through .. I hope this makes sense .

    Great demo my friend.
    Have you ever asked your scrap buyer if they would buy the copper if you melted into bars and if so how would they buy it.
    You mentioned that the corroded wire is thin so it would be #2 even if it were clean so this may or may not help but if you mix up some water with powdered citric acid and heat it up and soak the copper in it it should clean off that corrosion. Just a thought.

      My yard won’t buy ingots cause they don’t know what’s inside. Some yards have a device that scans the metal and they can know if it’s pure.
      That is certainly an option to remove corrosion and upgrade the copper.

    I have my own trick for getting the wire out of the jacket instead of trying to pick it out of the end I have an old Soup pot you grab the two ends of the wire and rub the center of the wire Over The Soup pot Edge did stretches the plastic coating and the wire pops straight up then you can easily grab it by the middle and fold it up like you do then just drop it in the pot but that's just my opinion thanks for your video I used to do it that way too until I got a stripper

    Good video Christian brother. Another relevant tip would be to never attempt to hand strip wire with portions of the insulation melted. Way too much of a pain in the behind.

    Bare Bright copper pays $3.65 a pound. It's worth stripping unless its Thin gauge- then I just turn it in " as is" plastic coated. Don't burn it- it makes a mess then it's not " Bare Bright"

      Burning wire in my state is illegal, so I wouldn’t ever burn wire, not to mention it’s so bad for the environment.

      @@musicalcompanion5890 16 gauge is my cutoff on what I’ll strip. Anything smaller than that really isn’t worth the effort, unless it’s something you find to be really enjoyable.

    Something's fishy with that Romex wire...🐟🐟🐟 it is never that easy for me... I usually pull the free wire and scrap the rest. My scrap yard gives me the same price for the Romex wire with the outside jacket on off.
