This man teaching y'all something and y'all on here tryna roast him. Don't listen to those guys We appreciate you taking the time to make us an entertaining video. Where can I get a green t shirt like that?
This is more like it. I was searching for an instructional video on the non-environmentally obsessive (but undoubtedly faster) method for removing the sheathing for scrap wire. One of two methods came to my mind; 1.) melt it as you seem to be doing. 2.) maybe a aluminum tub or metal horse-feeder tub filled with a unique 'volatile chemical liquid that would melt away the plastic while leaving the copper relatively undamaged. Of course, with the second method wearing protective gloves and very deliberate movements during the procedure would be advised, in case the liquid chemicals are dangerous to direct skin-contact. Do you guys have any suggestions on what types of chemical liquids I could use to melt Romex sheathing while not ruining the copper? Maybe even submerge the entire operation in a porcelain tub in the backyard? I do know that different materials have different melting-responses to different chemicals. And I'm sure there would be a way to do this, if you know what to chemical liquid to use for such a procedure. But burning works too from what I've heard from acquaintances in the trades, friends, and those who's creative self-reliance I do trust... Honestly peeling the sheathing by hand w/ a blade or even one of those rotary strippers IS WAY TOO SLOW OF A PROCESS in my opinion
This reminds me of the part in back to the future where doc puts telekinesis thing on Marty’s head after he realizes it doesn’t work he says “do you know what this means it means that this damn thing doesn’t work at all”
I was thinking of getting a box of razor blades and bolting all 5 that come in a box together and making some sort of sandwiching stripper that you cLamp down or some how weigh the razor blades down on the wire when pulling it. I figure having a bunch of razor blades will make the kinks and hard bends a lot easier to deal with. Also running wire back and forth over an edge will smoothen the wire out before stripping it. Mounting a drill with a spool on the end using that to pull he wire through isn’t a bad idea either .
This could totally be an infomercial….. *Not only will this system separate just the copper wire, but it will also separate your front porch from your house, which in turn will free up some space to build a new porch AND a whole new separation system! But wait it doesn’t stop there; over time, it will create more separation as your wife is tired of you spending so much time building porches and separating copper wire! The benefits just keep coming! But wait, there’s more! It also comes with many sub-sets like the separation between your shoulder joints, ankle joints, knee joints, muscles, tendons, etc! Try clamping a utility knife blade over the hole on a slight angle. (Hammer it in first, its holds better) I set up a whole system like that, goes though very easily, without needing to pull hard at all! And once you get the right position you don't need to reposition it for a while.
You are so funny, how you talk ur way out of all the snags, the way when you were about to walk but it got snagged,LMAO.. HOWEVER WE THANK YOU FOR TAKING TIME, UR AWESOME
Awesome video! But it seemed like you you would have saved some time if you tied one end of the wire to that wooden post, and just walked along the wire with a razor knife. Regardless, nice video and thank you for sharing your idea. 🙏

@@guslulou8428 Still alot more work than needed. There are ways to strip wire that take away pretty much any physical labor. My dad invented a wire stripper that uses a drill to move the wire through a hole that has a razor blade in it that cuts a line straight down the insulation as he runs the drill that pulls it through the hole. He can strip hundreds of feet an hour. I'm only on here looking to make my own device so I don't have to borrow his

Where can I get a green t shirt like that?
Excellent video! Raw and uncut! That's how it is in real life!
Good one bro, LMAO
Legend says he is still trying to pull the black wire.

Thumbs up to you infinity times! You are a got damn genius!!!! Men should bow before you and women should throw there under garments in your presence!
Yeah buddy...gotta keep a clean hole! Lol great video dude. 👍
thanks jason you just saved me a bunch of time and money!
How the hell did that save you money?
Now all I have to do is build some risers and build a new set of stairs and railing to get this wire stripper done?
🤣🤣🤣
You could tie the end of the copper wire to your truck and floor it and then you will rip that copper wire straight through in half a second.
I knew when i saw an ol country boy this would be a good way.
Watch you don't pull your house over !!!
Fucked up
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 idc that was funny
This made me laugh
Really informative!!
Imma try it.. i can not lie.. thnx!
Thanks for the video.

😂😂😂😂
I could have gnawed the jacket off that wire with my teeth in the time it took you to do that
good lad nice one
The house is on it's side now.

Can you try to make a video on how to sprip super duper thin copper wire that is used in rc cars plz that’s how y’all earn my subscription
Guessing you mean to access the strands rather than recycle. In that case, burn it with a lighter about a centimeter from the tip, then pull it off.
That’s what she said 😂😂😂
I'm surprised you posted this . if that thing fell on its arse 6ft away, i don't think you've much chance walking a mile with it - give it up mate -
Very clever but I would have like to view the edited version.
After I build my wooden porch I will do it
Just little deeper 😆
The most important thing is to clean your hole out
You are so funny, how you talk ur way out of all the snags, the way when you were about to walk but it got snagged,LMAO.. HOWEVER WE THANK YOU FOR TAKING TIME, UR AWESOME
Scores!!!
Bruh from this distance i cant see wtf your doing
Don't cut the blue wire.
Shoulda done a second take lol

Darn it's 4.25$ Canadian a lb right now
Is it Christmas yet
@3:32 😆

For Fruck Sake
You can't see what he's doing...

Hold the wire with a vice, a lot quicker than tying and untying the wire every time
Lol i use a fillet knife and could have stripped 80 feet of the same in half the time you spent adjusting your dry wall screw.
cool lol
Filet knife connected how?

Seems like there is a easier way because it took a long time to score one piece just to make this video
Romex electrical wire isn't worth stripping. Sell it as #2 insulated. Make more money.
This message brought to you by meth
Dude farted on that pull, lol listen at 4:25. He stripped his draws... Lmfao!
very inefficient way of doing this
Kmsl nah
Or could just use that fire pit
