- This Mini Bronco not only looks cool (Like a Mini Traxxas TRX4) it also has performance to match! IMO the Best Mini Crawler you can buy in 2020!
**After reading a few comments on here and Facebook, it seems like it's actually based on a Dodge Ramcharger and no a Ford Bronco. I'll leave Mini Traxxas TRX4 in the description though... good for the Algorithm haha

So you may argue that the Axial SCX24 is better, but I think after watching a few videos, that this Panda Hobby X2 has slightly better handling and build quality. And at the same price, I'd say this is the one to get! If you have a Traxxas TRX4 Bronco this will be awesome to go with it! Maybe Traxxas should bring out a 1/18 Mini TRX4 to put amongst the competition!

Absolutely a beautiful little truck! Amazing features that in other mega expensive brands ie: “Rc4wd” you do not have or would cost you a fortune starting with the price of the truck! Very capable and great looks, I love this little thing!!!!

Aw man my favorite generation Bronco too! Just ordered the Xiaomi Jimny, but definitely want to pick this bad boy up now! The grill resembles a Ram/Ramcharger grill, but with decent hobby-kit bashing skills, it can be redone to look like a billet-style Bronco grill as well as the rest of the Bronco body!

So I ended going with the Axial SCX24 1967 Chevy C10 dark silver. These Panda Hobby trucks looks really cool. Mini crawlers are always fun. Great video!

This is a great little rig. I have the Jeep version and I figured out how to make it crawl up a steep and rocky terrain better than my scx24. Buy the CR18 ties and wheels with the 24g brass inserts. The weight on the tires really helps with how too heavy my Jeep was. Now it’s grounded and crawls like a beast. Love it. Now I’m searching for a bit bigger tires that can mount on the CR18 wheels. Cheers!!

I don't think you'll find bigger tires than the cr-18 tires, bcuz the cr-18 wheels are a bit smaller than standard.
But if you get the rc4wd scrambler tires (2.43"), they are considerably larger, and overall awesome tires! Huge difference, a big advantage over all the smaller tires that we see so often.
The bigger tires set the CG a bit higher though, and being bigger makes it impossible to drop the crawler lower without cutting the body.
But overall, yeah, those scramblers are kickass!
Mrs. Rabbit I have the scramblers and your eight they don’t fit on the CR18 wheels. Bummer. I just bought rc4wd wagon wheels. We’ll see how she looks and drives.

Thanks so much for this video man you saved me a lot of money. I was on the fence about the trx4 bronco.. until i saw the price, i mean really? Anyway i was in live with the shape and this one is the only one i have seen that keeps that late 70s 80s look and when i saw how it performs wow! I like that this unlike a lit of expensive ones is already a cool canvas to modify or just tweak. Really good video and great presenting style. Hope i can catch one soon on the web its needed in our lives lol. Peace

Later Dodge grill the tail lights are wrong but yes, alittle scratch building on the tail lights and it's a Ram Charget / Trail Dustet.
I would like to see Panda do a Dodge pickup for that grill on their "Bronco". That style of grill with the insert showed up on the real thing in the last two or three years of production.
Just ordered one on Amazon, looks like its now a tan and brown color instead of the black and red. Thanks for sharing.

Hello, great videos on the Panda Hobbies cars! I too have an X1,X2, and K1. I don’t know if you got your K1 lights figured out yet, but the headlights plug into slot #3 with the black wire towards the front of the truck. This is how I wired mine and my 3rd channel works properly. Thanks again for the great videos!

On the Panda hobbies power wagon you have to make sure the lights are plugged into the three channel on the ESC

Emigre rc4wd makes little wheels and tires that would fit that, I believe. Don’t quote me though lol. But I’m in dire need of one now!
If the lights won't turn off Phil,then unplug the lights and turn the plug 180deg and plug it back in. The lights should turn on and off now. I love my little K1,so I'd expect this to be just as good. You can add 3mm red tail lights to the K1,by just slotting them into the rear bumper slots,alas you can't turn them on and off,though we probably could by adding a y-splitter and plugging both into Ch3.

I’ve seen this against the C10 SCX24.
It does not outperform the Axial.
It does look awesome and I’d love to tinker with it.
I believe my stock one is better than Scx24 but that’s just me

I was looking at getting the preprinted bronco body for my Trx-4 and almost bought it a week ago but couldn’t get myself to pay that price and when I saw the price of this and this is not much more than that body. So I just pulled the trigger while watching this video .

I'd say the MN99s being a little bigger would be on par with this. But the quality and driving experience with this one, it's better than the MN99s

Thomas, yes, I think maybe an aftermarket ESC would give this Panda Hobby a little better performance.

Also if you are planning on getting a SCX-24 I recommend the deadbolt it's pretty stinking sweet although I don't think there's much difference between any of them other than the bodies

Never any in stock in the UK...not for a reasonable price anyway. But I will get one :)

much better throttle control on the scx24 as well, that is what would turn me away from this machine.

Thanks dude. I keep it simple. GoPro Hero 7 Black, mostly on 4k 30fps...and then switch it to 60fps for the close low down shots, as long as there is enough light. Hypersmooth stabilisation on the Hero 7 & 8 is really really good!

At the moment I'm just doing videos direct to camera about topics but I've used my GoPro Hero5 for coverage of 24 Hour slot races and club racing. Your results are excellent. I've recently found your channel and I've found it helpful because I'm thinking about branching out from only slot cars ( I worked for Scalextric until March of this year ) to do some RC crawling too.

I'm doing a bit of consulting work now. And I'm working on videos where I discuss the slot car and hobby business. I worked for Carrera too and I saw your Mario RC car that was made during my time there (2010-2017), I was North American Marketing Manager for Carrera/Stadlbauer.
The only missing feature is proportional speed... (if I'm not wrong).
May be that using only a decent cheap 3 channel + ESC it will become a much better toy with 50$.
It has proportional speed, just not as much control as I'd like. A better ESC would make a difference

This is quite a bit smaller. The C44 wins on the 'Scale' look, but i think this is slightly better quality

The SCX24 has better control, but the K1 is bigger with more power
Unfortunately, the aftermarket has ignored these trucks. Panda Hobby does offer a few hop-up parts and they look decent. Some of the regular replacement parts are super expensive. Set of replacement shocks? $56 USD. Replacement TX? $43 USD. As far as the Scx24 comparison, I think it would be close with both trucks bone stock. They aren't the same scale, the Panda has a larger motor, pre-installed wheel weights, longer oil-filled shocks. Kind of apples to oranges. I think the Scx24 platform has a lot more potential, mostly due to all of the aftermarket parts available and the huge community around it.
The scx24 kicks thier ass in crawling, axials modulation is same as with thier 1/10s. Outside of just having the gears to do it, modulation is the biggest key in crawling...realistically anyway, the scx24 slow crawls up n over the best in class. And the aftermarket and parts availability is definitely way better with axial. Panda's chomping on thier tail though I'll give them that, great seeing the top is getting crowded instead of one platform heads n shoulders above everything else....like the trx4 sport and trx6 in the 1/10s
I think you have some good points Derrick. But what you mentioned no aftermarket parts...and then listed everything this has that the SCX24 doesn't... so maybe there is no real need for 'hop ups'. I will be getting an SCX24 as I want to know what the hype is... so watch this space : )

Looks like that one is better than the KATANA from RocHobby. The katana tips over very easily because the centre of weight is much too high or not well balanced due to the hard body.

Scx24 way out preforms the panda hobby while it's nice but different scale aswell u no well built . Love your channel your one of the only people who I trust your opinion on everything well accept this

I was a bit heavy on the throttle, it's got some control, but needs to be better.
You should try to get an Axial sx24 and test them side by side.

Probably because I mentioned it a few times. For some reason I thought this was 1/24 at first... then halfway through the video realised it was 1/18 😅.... my bad 👍

If it's just a one off, you could ask a friend, but if this is a persistent issue, then a forwarding company..
