Does it have to have the regular brushed motors or could you cram a faster brushless setup in there? I’m talking like a micro drone motor, maybe a 1404-3800kv 4s or a 12xx ~4000kv motor? Could pop a 450mah 4s in there or a 650 2s.

Thanks for uploading this. I’m debating whether to get one or not...it definitely falls under the ‘want’ not ‘need’ heading lol...but at about £50 it’s a bit pricey when there’s no electronics. Compared to my 1/24th scale FTX mini-outback 2.0 that came with everything for about a tenner more, and my 1/76th scale Turbo Racing mini which was a bit less but again came with everything included to start using it off the bat, you can sort of see why I’m on the fence....I’m sure parts won’t be as expensive because it’s so small, but do think this whole ‘kit’ thing is bit of a racket when clearly this is such a great and fun little machine - where if they had popped in everything to get it running (even if it’s a big standard/enter level equipment we can always update later if we want) and charge say a tenner or so more for the total price. I’m definitely sure more would buy, this which would mean making them (manufacturers) adding in any running gear more affordable for them as they would recoup any cost in the increased sales....and that’s before we get to extras like custom panels, wheels, tyres, springs etc etc which all help increase profits lol

Just bought the OH32X02 Trophy Truck model myself. Like you, I debated whether to buy or not for quite a while due to the cost but eventually decided to give one a try. I found that the scale is not so much smaller than my 1:24 Mini-Z (they say it is 1:32 but really it is maybe closer to 1:28). I bought an electronics bundle so that everything was compatible, plus a few upgrade parts. The engineering is way above Turbo Racing and over twice the scale so not really possible to compare.

Are the diffs worm gear or regular? I've wanted a losi micro crawler for a while, but they discontinued it. My wife got me an scx24 for Christmas last year and I thought I'd use it more, but I think I've only run it 3 or 4 times. Nice little truck, but I like jumping stuff more with my micro high roller. The speed and worm gear diffs in the scx24 make it impossible to jump stuff really since it won't free wheel at all.
