Lego is correct; I keep finding new set up options. I just picked up the Maddog...I think you'll be impressed. Intend to match it up with some of my Chameleon gear after the MPAS series.
I'm glad you presented this Bob. I have been thinking about buying into the Chameleon system but, was a little confused about the modular idea. Now, I need to look and see what the difference is between those systems that you presented and see what they can do. Is there a difference? Thank you again Bob.
Each system has different configuration options. So your use case may play into the decision; how much space you have, how stealth do you need to be, are you after the fastest set up. I'll be doing vids on each system so maybe I'll stumble accross something that helps you think it all through.
I love your approach to things. I am a big proponent of the Chameleon system and have almost all of their components except the Mil extension 2.0 and mil whip (which I sold off) I found better solutions for those 2 items. I am sure you would be very interested in them. Keep up the great work
Love your channel Bob! I do have a stupid question: what is the heat shrink for on the military whip? Brand new, it is not shrunk onto the whip. If you were to shrink it on the wider end of the connections it would not provide any weather protection to the joints. Please explain your understanding.
It would be for anyone wanting to install this antenna permanently; shrink it over the joints help to keep water out. In my opinion / experience, a collapsible or telescoping whip is made for temporary set up, and that is what it should be sued for...not permanent. Again, my opinion, it serves no purpose and should be cut off; I'll say as much in a future Tips & Tricks video for MPAS.
@@HOAHamRadio Thanks Bob. Concur. I never thought of installing it permanently. Love your channel. Keep up the great work! I’m also in a HOA. Luckily my attic is big enough to fit a CHA Tactical Delta Loop (barely). Works fantastic!
Question for Bob + the group: Will be renting an apartment on a country farm with plenty of big trees at the neighbor’s farm. If you had one wire antenna to throw up in a tree as a sloper or a dipole to the building roof for HF SSB - don’t need 160M, and 80M very optional. Will run no more than 100 watts. Permanent installation. What would you string up for an antenna, and how would you orientate it?
@@Chameleon_Antenna One other question. This will be a permanent install. How would you recommend I protect the board side of the antenna give that I’m in the Pacific Northwest or “The Wet Coast”?
answer me this please. Can I use a 6foot copper waterpipe brayed into the soil leaving around 3 feet above the soil exposed. Then put my Cha Spike shape end into this copper pipe tis a tight fit but it does go in. Will this improve my set up would like the TDL too expensive over here in UK (They don't do Vetrans Discount or Emergency Sevices Discount over here). I own the Mpas 2.0 so all I need to complete the loop is another 17foot SS Whip and the Hub. Comtemplating going for the larger UnUn I use Digital modes quite a lot... I am waffling on Getting back on subject to the Cha Stake ( Medium Rare please) has anyone else used a water pipe internal Diameter 10mm the way I have? 73 Keith M0KLL
I have the MPAS lite and I LOVE it. just ordered a 80m mad dog coil for it to allow me to get resonant out to 80m. the system is so fun to lego with.

Thanks for the kind words! Please do send me some detail on your 2 alternate solutions: thehoaham@gmail.com
Some of us have built our own modular antenna systems over the years.
Yep, that's what hams do!
I love building but I think with this one I’d like that military grade so I don’t have to fret with it after work and get more air time!
Love your videos. By far my favorite ham radio YT channel. I have the MPAS lite and love it in my HOA environment
What an incredible compliment; thanks. Many of the Chameleon antennas just kind of blend in at the HOA.
GREAT VIDEO
Thanks for the view and feedback.
Excellent video!!! I'm really looking forward to rest of this series! :)
Thanks. So many options with this MPAS gear!
The quality looks 👍 great
It’s really top grade. I love my MPAS 2.0
Great video Bob. Looking forward to the series.
Thanks for the view and comment; always appreciate when you stop by.
Good to see you HOA HAM
Can’t wait to see that! I had no ideas we could do so many different antenna installation with those…😉
Every time I think I've finished the list of possible configurations 1, 2, 5 more ideas come along!
Your product is a beast! Love it!
Roger that... 💯👍

What frequencies are you planning to use?
@@Chameleon_Antenna Primarily 40M, 20M, 10M and 15M SSB. Nice to have 17M and 12M.
@@JoeW7BWA The CHA LEFS 4010 will give you 40M, 20M 15M and 10M NO tuner. The rest will require a tuner.
