    Round 6 of the 1965 Tasman Series was held at Sandown Raceway in Melbourne on February 21. Drivers included four world champions: Jim Clark, Graham Hill, Jack Brabham and Phil Hill as well as other top drivers of the day, Bruce McLaren, Frank Gardner, Frank Matich, Bib Stillwell, Kerry Grant and Jim Palmer to name a few. Top Australia Day viewing!

    I was there that day lived fairly close . Interesting thing the cars actually passed, that seems a bit of a novelty these days .Jack Brabham was amazingly competitive, always was not far from the front in his F1 days, except maybe 68.

    Jack Brabham only drove the Australian races in the 1965 Tasman series, and still finished 3rd behind Jim Clark and Bruce McLaren. Brabham finished 2nd to Clark in the Warwick Farm International on 14 February, won here at Sandown, and finished 2nd McLaren in the AGP at Longford on 1 March.
