What a privilege it must have been to attended that wedding! oh, how unfortunate for me to be born in an era after Vernon, miller, and the other many greats...
Oh my goodness. What an unreal experience, I'd love to have had the opportunity to even shake The Professors hand. Wouldn't mind shaking Richard's either. ;)
Walk Upstairs and Save 10 Dollars was an olllllddddd old slogan used by a second story department store. Conflicting reports on which department store coined the phrase, but I suppose it was popular enough to be nationally known as the only record I can find is from the Milwaukee Sentinel, 1954, which claims it was either a store in Pittsburgh or Los Angeles which popularized it. Dang, Dai was one old son of a gun! No idea if this popular slogan became a double entendre or not and if Dai meant it as such or not.
A true classic.
This man is proof of how great a human could be. A truly inspirational man.
